We report the partial phonon densities of states (DOS) of iron sulfide, a possible component of the rocky planet's core, measured by the 57Fe nuclear resonant inelastic x-ray scattering and calculate the total phonon DOS under pressure. From the phonon DOS, we drive thermodynamic parameters. A comparison of the observed and estimated compressibilities makes it clear that there is a large pure electronic contribution in the observed compressibility in the metallic state. Our results present the observation of thermodynamic parameters of iron sulfide with the low-spin state of an Fe2+ ion at the high density, which is similar to the condition of the Martian core.  相似文献

3‐Arm star‐block copolymers, (polystyrene‐b‐poly(methyl methacrylate))3, (PS‐b‐PMMA)3, and (polystyrene‐b‐poly(ethylene glycol))3, (PS‐b‐PEG)3, are prepared using double‐click reactions: Huisgen and Diels–Alder, with a one‐pot technique. PS and PMMA blocks with α‐anthracene‐ω‐azide‐ and α‐maleimide‐end‐groups, respectively, are achieved using suitable initiators in ATRP of styrene and MMA, respectively. However, PEG obtained from a commercial source is reacted with 3‐acetyl‐N‐(2‐hydroxyethyl)‐7‐oxabicyclo[2.2.1]hept‐5‐ene‐2‐carboxamide (7) to give furan‐protected maleimide‐end‐functionalized PEG. Finally, PS/PMMA and PS/PEG blocks are linked efficiently with trialkyne functional linking agent 1,1,1‐tris[4‐(2‐propynyloxy)phenyl]‐ethane 2 in the presence of CuBr/N,N,N′,N″,N″‐pentamethyldiethylenetriamine (PMDETA) at 120 °C for 48 h to give two samples of 3‐arm star‐block copolymers. The results of the peak splitting using a Gaussian deconvolution of the obtained GPC traces for (PS‐b‐PMMA)3 and (PS‐b‐PEG)3 displayed that the yields of target 3‐arm star‐block copolymers were found to be 88 and 82%, respectively. © Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Twenty years is a long time, but it seems to me as if it were yesterday when the three of us—Michel Belakhovsky, Christian Riekel and I—first scientists of the Experiments Division (except the directors) at the not yet created European Synchrotron Radiation Facility, living in a temporary and not very solid building, made the last corrections to the text of the famous “Red Book,” the ESRF Foundation Phase Report published in February 1987. The floor was shaking in our office when Ruprecht Haensel, the first Director General, walked along the corridor…. We had convened workshops of experts in the various fields to define the first set of beamlines to be built at the ESRF. The program was quite complete, comprising inelastic scattering, imaging (topography), microfocusing, small angle scattering, nuclear resonance, high energy, etc. Costs were particularly difficult to estimate, but finally we were not so far from the real figures.  相似文献

A series of crown ethers carrying an anthracene group with nitrogen–sulfur donor atom, which differ in having three, four and five sulfur atoms in the macrocycle was designed and synthesized by the reaction of the corresponding macrocyclic compound and 9-chloromethyl-anthracene. The influence of metal cations such as Al3+, Zn2+, Fe2+, Fe3+, Co2+, Ni2+, Mn2+, Cu2+, Cd2+, Hg2+ and Pb2+ on the spectroscopic properties of the ligands was investigated in acetonitrile–dichloromethane (1:1) by means of absorption and emission spectrometry. Absorption spectra show isosbestic points in the spectrophotometric titration of Al3+, Zn2+, Fe2+, Fe3+, Cu2+, Hg2+ and Pb2+ the results of which disclosed the complexation compositions and complex stability constants of the novel ligands with these cations. The monoazapentathia crown ether showed sensitivity for Al3+ with linear range and detection limit of 2.6 × 10−6 M–2.6 × 10−5 M and 8.1 × 10−7 M, respectively.  相似文献

The study focused on determining the effect of acidic and basic cold activation on hydrochar (HC) for the removal of methyl orange (MO). HC was prepared by hawthorn seeds (HS) under hydrothermal carbonization. HC was cold-activated with HCl and NaOH, respectively, and they were grafted with aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) and protonated to obtain AHC-N+ (acid-activated and modified HC) and BHC-N+ (base-activated and modified HC) to determine the effect of acidic and basic activation. They were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, thermal analysis, zeta potential, N2 adsorption–desorption measurements, and SEM–EDX analysis. The prepared adsorbents displayed MO adsorption due to abundant protonated amine groups. BHC-N+ showed higher MO adsorption than AHC-N+. The result showed that more protonated APTES groups grafted on the surface of HC via NaOH activation. The obtained data had a good fitting with the Langmuir isotherm and pseudo-second-order kinetic. The maximum adsorption capacity of BHC-N+ was 250.38 mg g−1. The adsorption mechanism could be attributed to the electrostatic interactions between MO and protonated amine groups of APTES and hydrogen bonding.  相似文献

A new method based on microcolumn packed with ionic liquid-modified silica combined with flame atomic absorption spectrometry has been developed for the determination of lead in environmental samples. Several factors influencing the preconcentration efficiency of lead and its subsequent determination, such as pH of the sample, flow rate, mass of ionic liquid, and interfering effect, have been investigated. Lead could be quantitatively retained by ionic liquid-modified silica in the pH range of 5-7, and then eluted completely with 3.0 mL 1.0 mol L−1 HCl. The detection limit of this method for lead was 0.7 μg L−1 with preconcentration factor of 185, and the relative standard deviation (RSD) was 4.2% at 0.1 μg mL−1 Pb(II). This method has been applied for the determination of trace amount of lead in NIST standard reference material 2709 (San Joaquin Soil) and river water samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

A sensor for ethanol is described that is based on the fluorescent probe 5,10,15,20-tetraphenyl porphyrin (TPP). Response is based on the quenching of the fluorescence of TPP by ethanol as a result of electrostatic attraction. The sensor linearly responds to ethanol in the concentration range from 1 to 75 vol.% and was applied to the determination of ethanol in various kinds of wines and whisky.  相似文献
