The creep motion in a two-dimensional fully frustrated square lattice Coulomb gas model with disorders is studied by using the Monte Carlo technique. The dependence of charge current density J on electric field E is investigated at low temperature T and at low E. The results show that the creep obeys the Arrhenius law J - C(T) exp[-U(E)/T]. The prefactor C(T) increases with the temperature in a power law relation with an exponent about 3.0. The energy barrier U ( E) increases logarithmically with Ec,/ E as U ( E) - Uo ln( Ec/ E) with Ec being the critical field at zero temperature. 相似文献

We demonstrated continuous-wave (CW) and Q-switched operation of a room-temperature Ho:YAP ring laser that is resonantly end-pumped by a diode-pumped Tm:YLF laser at 1.91 ??m. Continuous wave output power of 3 W at 2119 nm is obtained under the absorbed pump power of 10.17 W, corresponding to a slope efficiency of 60%. For the Q-switched regime the maximum pulse energy of 1.58 mJ and the minimum pulse width of 590 ns at the repetition rate of 1 kHz are achieved. 相似文献

We investigate carrier dynamics in a passive InAs/InP quantum dot (QD) waveguide using 255 fs optical pulses at a central wavelength of 1568 nm. We observe strong anisotropy of absorption saturation for different polarizations. Pump-probe measurements indicate the presence of carrier relaxation dynamics on a timescale in the order of tens of picoseconds due to cascaded relaxation of carriers generated by two-photon absorption (TPA) from the bulk region to the QDs via the wetting layer. These relaxation timescales are much longer than in QD amplifiers. Our observations are supported by a rate-equation model which includes TPA, showing good agreement with the pump-probe measurements. 相似文献

A triad mode resonance, or three-wave resonance, is typical of dynamical systems with quadratic nonlinearities. Suspended cables are found to be rich in triad mode resonant dynamics. In this paper, modulation equations for cable’s triad resonance are formulated by the multiple scale method. Dynamic conservative quantities, i.e., mode energy and Manley-Rowe relations, are then constructed. Equilibrium/dynamic solutions of the modulation equations are obtained, and full investigations into their stability and bifurcation characteristics are presented. Various bifurcation behaviors are detected in cable’s triad resonant responses, such as saddle-node, Hopf, pitchfork and period-doubling bifurcations. Nonlinear behaviors, like jump and saturation phenomena, are also found in cable’s responses. Based upon the bifurcation analysis, two interesting properties associated with activation of cable’s triad resonance are also proposed, i.e., energy barrier and directional dependence. The first gives the critical amplitude of high-frequency mode to activate cable’s triad resonance, and the second characterizes the degree of difficulty for activating cable’s triad resonance in two opposite directions, i.e., with positive or negative internal detuning parameter. 相似文献

A numerical method for solving the incompressible Navier–Stokes equations with a 5th-order weighted essentially non-oscillatory (WENO) scheme is presented. The method is not based on artificial compressibility and is free of tunable parameters such as the artificial compressibility parameter. The method makes use of the fractional-step method in conjunction with the low-dissipation and low-dispersion Runge–Kutta (LDDRK) scheme to improve temporal accuracy of the scheme. The use of a WENO scheme makes it possible to obtain stable solutions for discontinuous initial data and resolve difficult applications with strong shear such as Kelvin–Helmholtz instability or turbulence. Good convergence rate is established for the velocity variables and numerical solutions of the present method compare well with exact solutions and other numerical results. 相似文献

A continuous wave (CW), extra-cavity singly resonant optical parametric oscillator (SRO) has been demonstrated. The SRO was
based on 5% Magnesium-Oxide doped periodically-poled Lithium Nio-bate (MgO:PPLN) pumped by a Yb fiber laser centered at 1064.7
nm. The SRO was able to generate light with idler wavelengths ranging from 2.9 to 4.1 μm. For a pump power of 15 W, the idler
