Ni adsorption on Stone-Wales defect sites in (10,0) zigzag and (5,5) armchair single-wall carbon nanotubes was studied using the density functional theory. The stable adsorption sites and their binding energies on different Stone-Wales defect types were analyzed and compared to those on perfect side walls. It was determined that the sites formed via fusions of 7-7 and 6-7 rings are the most exothermic in the cases of (10,0) and (5,5) defective tubes. In addition C-C bonds associated with Stone-Wales defects are more reactive than the case for a perfect hexagon, thus enhancing the stability of the Ni adsorption. Moreover, the Ni adsorption was found to show a noticeable relationship to the orientation of the Stone-Wales defects with respect to the tube axis. The nature of the Ni adsorption on Stone-Wales defects that have the similar orientation is identical, in spite of the different chiralities.  相似文献

The generation of noise in subsonic high Reynolds number single and coaxial turbulent jets is analyzed by a hybrid method. The computational approach is based on large-eddy simulations (LES) and solutions of the acoustic perturbation equations (APE). The method is used to investigate the acoustic fields of one isothermal single stream jet at a Mach number 0.9 and a Reynolds number 400,000 based on the nozzle diameter and two coaxial jets whose Mach number and Reynolds number based on the secondary jet match the values of the single jet. One coaxial jet configuration possesses a cold primary flow, whereas the other configuration has a hot primary jet. Thus, the configurations allow in a first step the analysis of the relationship of the flow and acoustic fields of a single and a cold coaxial jet and in a second step the investigation of the differences of the fluid mechanics and aeroacoustics of cold and hot coaxial jets. For the isothermal single jet the present hybrid acoustic computation shows convincing agreement with the direct acoustic simulation based on large-eddy simulations. The analysis of the acoustic field of the coaxial jets focuses on two noise sources, the Lamb vector fluctuations and the entropy sources of the APE equations. The power spectral density (PSD) distributions evidence the Lamb vector fluctuations to represent the major acoustic sources of the isothermal jet. Especially the typical downstream and sideline acoustic generations occur on a cone-like surface being wrapped around the end of the potential core. Furthermore, when the coaxial jet possesses a hot primary jet, the acoustic core being characterized by the entropy source terms increases the low frequency acoustics by up to 5 dB, i.e., the sideline acoustics is enhanced by the pronounced temperature gradient.  相似文献

Fluorine and hydrogen co-doped ZnO:Al (AZO) films were prepared by radio frequency (rf) magnetron sputtering of ZnO targets containing 1 wt.% Al2O3 on Corning glass at substrate temperature of 150 °C with Ar/CF4/H2 gas mixtures, and the structural, electrical and optical properties of the as-deposited and the vacuum-annealed films were investigated. In as-deposited state, films with fairly low resistivity of 3.9-4 × 10−4 Ω cm and very low absorption coefficient below 900 cm−1 when averaged in 400-800 nm could be fabricated. After vacuum-heating at 300 °C, the minimum resistivity of 2.9 × 10−4 Ω cm combined with low absorption loss in visible region, which enabled the figure of merit to uplift as high as 4 Ω−1, could be obtained for vacuum-annealed film. It was shown that, unlike hydrogenated ZnO films which resulted in degradation upon heating in vacuum at moderately high temperature, films with fluorine addition could yield improved electrical properties mostly due to enhanced Hall mobility while preserving carrier concentration level. Furthermore, stability in oxidizing environment could be improved by fluorine addition, which was ascribed to the filling effect of dangling bonds at the grain boundaries. These results showed that co-doping of hydrogen and fluorine into AZO films with low Al concentration could be remarkably compatible with thin film solar cell applications.  相似文献

This paper presents an analytical solution to estimate the liquid film thickness in two-phase annular flow through a circular pipe using electrical resistance tomography. Gas–liquid flow with circular gas core surrounded by a liquid film is considered. Conformal mapping is employed to obtain the analytic solution for annular flow with an eccentric circular gas core. The liquid film thickness for an arbitrary annular flow is estimated by comparing the resistance values for concentric and eccentric annular flows. The film thickness estimation has a good performance when the normalized distance between the gas core center and the flow center is less than 0.2 and the void fraction is greater than 0.4, the estimated error of the normalized thickness is less than 0.04.  相似文献

We theoretically investigated the temporal profile of a background pedestal in a single-stage optical parametric chirped pulse amplification (OPCPA) system, and showed that the amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) prepulse in the saturation regime degrades the contrast ratio. To improve the contrast ratio in a saturated OPCPA system, a method using pump pulse shaping and the time delay control between pump and seed pulses was utilized. Through numerical simulations, the effect of the rising time and the time delay of a pump pulse on the background pedestal was subsequently investigated in terms of the contrast ratio. From the simulation results, it was determined that an optimal rising time and the time delay of the pump pulse are critical for obtaining a high-contrast broadband laser pulse from a saturated OPCPA system.  相似文献

We have performed simulations of the ghost image phenomenon induced by a contrast enhancement film used for plasma display panels (PDPs). An optical imaging system was designed in order to investigate the ghost image qualitatively and quantitatively. We report on and discuss the effects of the material parameters and film orientation on the relative illuminance of the ghost image for a conventional louver-type contrast enhancement film adopting a trapezoidal black-stripe structure. The ghost image phenomenon is strongly affected by the film orientation relative to the PDP module and the difference between the refractive index of the ultraviolet curable urethane acrylate layer and that of the black stripes. We show that when the top side of the black stripes faces the PDP module and the refractive index difference is small, the ghost image phenomenon is weakened.  相似文献

We investigated the electrical properties of Cr(30 nm)/Al(200 nm) contacts to N-polar n-type GaN for high-performance vertical light-emitting diodes and compare them with those of Ti(30 nm)/Al(200 nm) contacts. Before annealing, both the samples show ohmic behaviors with a contact resistivity of 1.9-2.3 × 10−4 Ωcm2. Upon annealing at 250 °C for 1 min in N2 ambient, the Ti/Al contacts become non-ohmic, while the Cr/Al contacts remain ohmic with a contact resistivity of 1.4 × 10−3 Ωcm2. Based on X-ray photoemission spectroscopy and secondary ion mass spectrometry results, ohmic formation and degradation mechanisms are briefly described and discussed.  相似文献

A Ru capping layer is employed to improve the thermal stability of Ag ohmic reflectors for high-power GaN-based light-emitting diodes (LEDs). The 20-nm-thick Ru capping layer is shown to be fairly effective in suppressing agglomeration by forming RuO2. The Ag/Ru contacts exhibit specific contact resistance of 8.1 × 10−5 Ω cm2 and reflectance of ∼89% at a wavelength of 450 nm when annealed at 500 °C for 1 min, which are much better than that of Ag only contacts. Blue LEDs fabricated with the 500 °C-annealed Ag/Ru contacts give a forward voltage of 2.98 V at an injection current of 20 mA, which is lower than that (3.02 V) of LEDs with the 500 °C-annealed Ag only contacts. LEDs with the 500 °C-annealed Ag/Ru contacts show 25% higher output power (at 20 mA) than LEDs with the 500 °C-annealed Ag only contacts. X-ray photoemission spectroscopy examinations are performed to describe the improved electrical performance of the Ag/Ru contacts.  相似文献

Introduction

To diagnose rectal cancer and monitor treatment response after preoperative concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) in rectal cancer patients using proton-1 magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H-MRS).

Materials and Methods

We enrolled 134 rectal cancer patients before treatment, of whom 34 underwent preoperative CCRT and follow-up MR spectroscopy before surgery. 1H-MRS was performed using a six-channel phased-array coil at 3.0 T. We evaluated the presence of a choline peak at 3.2 ppm, and lipid peaks at 0.9 and 1.3 ppm, and glutamine and glutamate peaks at 2.1-2.3 and 2.7 ppm seen at two TEs (40 and 135 ms). We divided MR spectra patterns into two groups (A and B).

Results

A choline peak at 3.2 ppm seen in both TEs was characteristic for rectal cancer before treatment. Of 103 patients, 55 (53%) showed an elevated choline peak before treatment (type A). Type A spectra were seen in 68% of patients (23/34) before preoperative CCRT. After CCRT, the choline peak disappeared, resulting in only the lipid peak at 1.3 ppm (type B) in 97% of patients (33/34).

Discussion

We optimized a localized in vivo1H-MRS method for detection of rectal adenocarcinoma and monitoring treatment response after preoperative CCRT. The method appears to be a promising and feasible noninvasive modality.  相似文献

The effect of introducing silver nanoparticles on the rheological properties and dynamic crystallization behavior of nylon‐6 was investigated. The nanocomposites showed slightly higher viscosity than pure nylon‐6 in the low‐frequency range even at an extremely low loading level of the silver particles (0.5–1.0 wt %). The nanoparticles had a more noticeable effect on the storage modulus than on the loss modulus of a nylon‐6 melt and reduced its loss tangent. They increased the crystallization temperature of nylon‐6 by about 14 °C and produced a sharper crystalline peak. The silver nanoparticles promoted the crystallization of nylon‐6, and their effect on the dynamic crystallization of nylon‐6 at 200 °C was more notable at a lower shear rate and at 190 °C at a higher frequency. Nylon‐6 produced large spherulitic crystals, but the nanocomposites showed a grainy structure. In addition, the silver nanoparticles reduced the fraction of the α‐form crystal but increased that of the γ‐form crystal. The nanocomposites crystallized at 190 °C showed a lower melting temperature than nylon‐6 by about 3 °C, whereas the nanocomposites crystallized at 200 °C showed almost the same melting temperature. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
