The dc electrical conductivity of pure and doped ammonium perchlorate (AP) has been studied in two different crystal orientations, with the electric field applied perpendicularly to either (001) or (210) planes. The conductivity along the direction of the c axis was found to be lower than that normal to (210) by a factor of 5 to 10. The dc electrical conductivity of AP is decreased by Pb2+ ions but increased by SO2?4 and CrO2?4 ions. The conductivity of pure AP and of Pb2+-doped AP displays two regions with activation energies for conduction of 0.56 and 0.87 eV, respectively. The conductivity of the anion-doped crystals has a single activation energy, 0.66 eV for SO2?4 and 0.72 eV for CrO2?4. Exposure to ammonia enhances the conductivity of pure AP. A proton conduction mechanism is proposed that takes due regard of the structure of AP. The effect of the various additives on the conductivity are attributed to their influences on the formation of charge-carrying protons.  相似文献

Both C10H21-18-crown-5 and C10H21-15-crown-5 were successfully synthesized and exhibited the distinctive characteristics of surfactants. Fluorescence of pyrene was used as a sensitive probe to study the micelle formation of the crown ether surfactant. The variation of the intensity ratio (I1/I3) of the first and third vibrational fluorescence bands of pyrene was employed to determine the critical micellar concentration (CMC). Both CMC and cloud points were found to depend on the kinds of cations and the ionic strength in solution. The quenching of pyrene fluorescence is also investigated for some cations under micelle and non-micelle circumstances.  相似文献

The unique properties of magnetic nanocrystals provide them with high potential as key probes and vectors in the next generation of biomedical applications. Although superparamagnetic iron oxide nanocrystals have been extensively studied as excellent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) probes for various cell trafficking, gene expression, and cancer diagnosis, further development of in vivo MRI applications has been very limited. Here, we describe in vivo diagnosis of cancer, utilizing a well-defined magnetic nanocrystal probe system with multiple capabilities, such as small size, strong magnetism, high biocompatibility, and the possession of active functionality for desired receptors. Our magnetic nanocrystals are conjugated to a cancer-targeting antibody, Herceptin, and subsequent utilization of these conjugates as MRI probes has been successfully demonstrated for the monitoring of in vivo selective targeting events of human cancer cells implanted in live mice. Further conjugation of these nanocrystal probes with fluorescent dye-labeled antibodies enables both in vitro and ex vivo optical detection of cancer as well as in vivo MRI, which are potentially applicable for an advanced multimodal detection system. Our study finds that high performance in vivo MR diagnosis of cancer is achievable by utilizing improved and multifunctional material properties of iron oxide nanocrystal probes.  相似文献

The energetics and dynamics of collision-induced dissociation of O2- with Ar and Xe targets are studied experimentally using guided ion-beam tandem mass spectrometry. The cross sections and the collision dynamics are modeled theoretically by classical trajectory calculations. Experimental apparent threshold energies are 2.1 and 1.1 eV in excess of the thermochemical O2- bond dissociation energy for argon and xenon, respectively. Classical trajectory calculations confirm the observed threshold behavior and the dependence of cross sections on the relative kinetic energy. Representative trajectories reveal that the bond dissociation takes place on a short time scale of about 50 fs in strong direct collisions. Collision-induced dissociation is found to be remarkably restricted to the perpendicular approach of ArXe to the molecular axis of O2-, while collinear collisions do not result in dissociation. The higher collisional energy-transfer efficiency of xenon compared with argon is attributed to both mass and polarizability effects.  相似文献

A new versatile synthesis of benzo[c]phenanthridine and protoberberine alkaloids using lithiated toluamide-benzonitrile cycloaddition was carried out. The coupling reaction between benzonitrile 6 with o-toluamides (8a-c) afforded 3-arylisoquinolines (9a-c) that were transformed to the protoberberines (11a-c) or benzo[c]phenanthridines (14a-c). These compounds were synthesized by ring closure of the two-carbon chain on either position 2 or 4 of the 3-arylisoquinolinone (9a-c). Several kinds of substituted benzo[c]phenanthridine alkaloids such as oxysanguinarine, oxyavicine, and oxynitidine as well as protoberberines such as 8-oxocoptisine, 8-oxopseudoberberine, and 8-oxopseudocoptisine were synthesized.  相似文献

The determination of end groups in polystyrenes (PSts) polymerized anionically with n-butyllithium as the initiator was carried out by pyrolysis-gas chromatography (Py-GC). The relative proportions of the end groups decrease with increasing molecular weight (MW). Consequently, the peaks which reflect the structure of the end groups can be distinguished by comparing pyrograms of samples with different MW. By comparing the intensities of these peaks relative to total intensities of all the peaks in the pyrogram, the numberaverage molecular weight (Mn) of the polymer can be estimated. The observed Mn values of PSts estimated by this method are compared with those determined by size exclusion chromatography (SEC). By this method it was possible to make direct determination of Mn values of PSts with MWs between 1000 and ca. 1 million. Furthermore, the calibration curve produced by the relative intensity of one of the most characteristic peaks (2-phenyl-1-heptene; C4H9? CH2C (Ph) = CH2) for the end group to total intensity of all the peaks in the pyrogram, gave rapid and highly reproducible Mn values. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) were fluorinated at several different temperatures. The change of atomic and electronic structures of fluorinated SWCNTs was investigated using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), electrical resistivity measurements and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The amount of doped fluorine increases with increasing doping temperature, and the fluorine atoms are covalently attached to the side-wall of the SWCNTs. From Raman spectra and HRTEM study, the strong fluorination on the SWCNTs leads to the breaking of carbon–carbon bonds and the disintegration of tube structure. Several intermediate phases of fluorinated SWCNTs are observed during e-beam irradiation in HRTEM.  相似文献

Iron oxide (FemOn) neutral clusters are generated in the gas phase through laser ablation of the metal and reaction with various concentrations of O2 in He. The mixture of expansion gas and neutral FemOn cluster species is expanded through a supersonic nozzle into a vacuum system, in which the clusters are ionized by an ArF excimer laser at 193 nm, and the ions are detected and identified in a time-of-flight mass spectrometer. In this report, the experimental parameters that influence the observed cluster distributions, such as ablation laser power, expansion pressure, vacuum system pressure, and 193 nm ArF ionization laser power, are explored. In the second paper in this series, the effect of the ionization laser wavelength (355 nm, 193 nm, 118 nm) on the observed cluster ion distribution is explored. The cluster ion distribution observed employing 193 nm laser ionization, is sensitive to the neutral cluster distribution as evidenced by the change in the observed time-of-flight mass spectra with changes in laser power, growth conditions, and expansion conditions. The thermodynamically stable neutral clusters for saturated O2 growth conditions are suggested to be of the forms FemOm, FemO(m+1), and FemO(m+2); which one of these series of neutral clusters is most stable depends on the size of the cluster. For m < 10, FemOm is the most stable neutral cluster series, for 10 < or = m < or = 20, FemO(m+1) is the most stable neutral cluster series, and for 21 < or = m < = 30, FemO(m+2) is the most stable neutral cluster series. Some neutral cluster fragmentation is clearly present for 193 nm ionization due to multiphoton absorption in both the neutral and ionic cluster species.  相似文献

The 2',3'-cyclic nucleotide 3'-phosphodiesterase (CNP), a protein of unknown function in vivo, is abundantly expressed in myelinating glia in two isoforms, CNP1 and CNP2. In this study, immunoblot analysis showed that CNP1 is the major isoform in adult forebrain, and that both isoforms are included in the postsynaptic density (PSD) fraction and tyrosine-phosphorylated at the basal level. However, subcellular distribution and detergent extraction data showed that CNP is nonspecifically associated with the PSD fraction. Immunocytochemistry revealed that CNP is detected, in a weak but punctate pattern, in dissociated rat hippocampal neurons of 3 days to 2 weeks in vitro. The CNP-positive punctae were distributed throughout soma and dendrites, and distinct from PSD95-positive ones. Immunoblot analysis indicated that CNP is also expressed in neuronal stem cell lines, HiB5 and F11. Interestingly, in addition to the known two isoforms, a new CNP isoform of MW 45 kDa was expressed in these cell lines and was the major type of isoform in F11 cells. Taken together, our data suggest that CNP is expressed in the early stage of in vitro development and nonspecifically included in the adult rat PSD fraction.  相似文献

Kinetic modeling of non-thermal plasma chemistry is conducted to investigate hydrocarbon (CH4, C2H4, C3H6, and C3H8) effects on the promotion of NO–NO2 conversion. A reduced plasma chemistry model, in which radical reactions are selectively involved, is validated with experimental data. The higher reactivity of hydrocarbon additive with O radicals, which produces initial radicals, is requisite to initiate hydrocarbon decomposition, thus providing NO–NO2 conversion. Initial radicals by plasma discharge induce continual hydrocarbon decomposition and this self-preserved reaction mechanism greatly contributes to the promotion of energy efficient NO–NO2 conversion. Increase in the conversion extent by ethylene and propylene additives is substantial because of their stronger affinity with O radical. The primary routes of NO–NO2 conversion process differed by hydrocarbon additives are presented and discussed with the assistance of sensitivity analysis.  相似文献
