We examined stereoselectivities of enzymes related to bile acid formation in hepatic peroxisomes using two stereoisomers of 3 alpha,7 alpha,12 alpha-trihydroxy-5 beta-cholestanoic acid (THCA) and its coenzyme A (CoA) derivatives. The activity of acyl-CoA synthetase for 25 S-THCA was 1.4-times higher than that for 25 R-THCA. The difference was also observed after clofibrate-treatment. This activity was located in microsomes, differing from palmitoyl-CoA synthetase located in mitochondria, peroxisomes and microsomes. There was no stereoselectivity in the reaction of peroxisomal fatty acyl-CoA oxidase for THCA isomers, and the activity was one tenth of that for acyl-CoA synthetase. Considering the overall reaction of peroxisomal bile acid formation, the stereoselective difference observed in THCA-CoA synthesis should be denied. Thus, the previous finding that the overall formation of bile acid from THCA was not stereoselective was further confirmed. Furthermore, the activity for THCA oxidation was not induced by clofibric acid, suggesting that there would be different isozymes of peroxisomal acyl-CoA oxidase against THCA-CoA and palmitoyl-CoA.  相似文献

Hyperbranched polymers (HBPs) with different terminal groups and different ethylene oxide (EO) chain lengths were prepared, and the influence of the HBP structures including molecular weights and molecular weight distribution on the ionic conductivity and the mechanical property of the composite polymer electrolytes composed of poly (ethylene oxide) (PEO), HBP, BaTiO3 as a ceramic filler, and LiN(CF3SO2)2 as a lithium salt were investigated. It was found that the molecular weights of the HBP do not affect significantly the ionic conductivity, but the molecular weight distribution might affect it, and also further branching at the terminals of the HBP led to a decrease in the ionic conductivity. The HBP with longer EO chain length was effective for enhancement of the ionic conductivity in comparison with the HBP with shorter one. The increase in cross-linkable groups (acryloyl group) at the terminals of the HBP improved the tensile strength, but caused the ionic conductivity to decrease. Loosely cross-linked composite polymer electrolyte showed higher ionic conductivity and higher tensile strength than no cross-linked one. Yb(Ba1−xSrx)2Cu4O8 (0.1x0.3) superconductors of the YBa2Cu4O8(“124”) structure were successfully synthesized using an O2-hot-isostaticc-pressing (HIP) technique. The samples were characterized with respect to the crystal structure and superconducting properties. The lattice parameters of the samples decreased as the substitution of Sr for Ba proceeded. The superconducting transition temperatures of all the Yb-“124” samples were more or less the same, being around 80 K.  相似文献

Valence band photoemission spectra of black phosphorus have shown anomalous behavior at the excitation of 2p core-excitons. The intensity of the 2.7 ev peak shows a clear Fano type interference due to a direct recombination of core-excitons leaving one hole in valence bands. Besides, strong enhancement of the 10.8 eV peak is interpreted as due to a core-exciton induced resonance with two-hole final states. The role of core-excitons as intermediate states for photoemission processes is newly revealed in the experiments.  相似文献
