The integrated intensities of vibrational transitions depend on the magnitude of the derivatives of the dipole with respect to nuclear motion. Normally, the only reliable way to compute such derivatives is by tedious and expensive ab initio calculations. In this paper, we present a simplification for weakly bound complexes based on distributed schemes for describing the charge densities and polarizabilities of the monomers. Formulations based on both Cartesian and spherical harmonics are presented. The results for both these schemes agree exactly with each other, and qualitatively with full ab initio calculations for the hydrogen fluoride dimer, (HF)2. 相似文献

A convenient method for oxidative decarboxylation of α-amino acids is presented. The aldehyde products may be isolated or converted to tetrahydroisoquinolines by addition of dopamine via Pictet–Spengler reaction. Racemic products are generated by phosphate buffer >300 mM to maximize regioselectivity. Molecular confinement plays a significant effect on trapped gas and solvent molecules. A fundamental understanding of gas adsorption within the porous confinement provides information necessary to design a material with improved selectivity. In this regard, metal–organic framework (MOF) adsorbents are ideal candidate materials to study confinement effects for weakly interacting gas molecules, such as noble gases. Among the noble gases, xenon (Xe) has practical applications in the medical, automotive and aerospace industries. In this Communication, we report an ultra-microporous nickel-isonicotinate MOF with exceptional Xe uptake and selectivity compared to all benchmark MOF and porous organic cage materials. The selectivity arises because of the near perfect fit of the atomic Xe inside the porous confinement. Notably, at low partial pressure, the Ni–MOF interacts very strongly with Xe compared to the closely related Krypton gas (Kr) and more polarizable CO2. Further 129Xe NMR suggests a broad isotropic chemical shift due to the reduced motion as a result of confinement. 相似文献

The aim of this investigation was to develop receiver and extraction fluids, and subsequently validate an analytical method to quantify the permeation and penetration of flurbiprofen into human pharynx tissue using a Franz diffusion cell. The solubility and stability of flurbiprofen in a suitable receiver fluid, and a suitable extraction method and fluid to recover and quantitate flurbiprofen from human pharynx tissue, were investigated using high‐performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The potential interference of human pharynx tissue in the receiver fluid was also investigated. The HPLC analytical method was successfully validated according to current guidelines. The final receiver fluid demonstrated sufficient solubility and stability, and the extraction method and fluid resulted in >95% recovery of flurbiprofen following exposure to human pharynx tissue. The lower limit of quantitation of flurbiprofen was 0.045 μg/mL in both the receiver and extraction fluids. There was no interference of the human pharynx tissue with the HPLC method. This investigation validated an analytical method for quantitating flurbiprofen, and determined a suitable receiver fluid and extraction method and fluid, which can be used to investigate the permeation and penetration of flurbiprofen through human pharynx tissue using the Franz diffusion cell method. 相似文献

The -uniform saturation number of Berge- is the minimum number of edges in a -uniform Berge--saturated hypergraph on vertices. For this definition coincides with the classical definition of saturation for graphs.
