Several new co‐poly(arylene ether sulfone)s have been prepared by the reaction of 4,4′‐fluorodiphenyl sulfone (FDS) with different bisphenols namely 4,4′‐isopropylidenediphenol (BPA), 4,4′‐hexafluoroisopropylidenediphenol (6F‐BPA), and N‐phenyl‐3,3‐bis(4‐hydroxyphenyl)phthalimidine(PA). The homo‐poly(arylene ether sulfone)s are named as 1a, 2a, and 3a. The copolymers namely 2b, 2c, 2d and 3b, 3c, 3d have been prepared, respectively, on reaction of FDS with BPA or 6F‐BPA using different molar ratios of PA such as 25, 50, and 75. The poly(aryl ether sulfone)s 1a containing PA unit in the main chain showed a very high glass transition temperature of 280°C and an outstanding thermal stability up to 510°C for 5% weight loss under synthetic air. Depending on the mole% of PA, the glass transition temperatures of the copolymers can be varied. The polymers were soluble in a wide range of organic solvents. Transparent thin films of these polymers exhibited tensile strengths upto 84 MPa and Young's modulus up to 3.16 GPa. The films of these polymers showed low water absorption of 0.24%. A homologous series of partially hydrolyzed celluloses (level-off-DP cellulose) with weight-average molecular weight (DPw) < 150 were peracetylated and characterized by 1H-NMR spectroscopy. The results demonstrate the utility of 1H-NMR spectroscopy to assign the chemical shifts of all end groups of the peracetylated cellulose. On the one hand, the chemical shifts of all methine and methylene protons of the non-reducing terminal end group (TEG) as well as the - and -anomer of the reducing end group (REG) could be determined by two-dimensional NMR techniques (COSY-DQF) and by selective excitation of isolated proton signals (1D-TOCSY) of these end groups. On the other hand, the spectral resolution was high enough to determine the number-average molecular weight (DPn) of peracetylated level-off-DP cellulose (LODP cellulose acetates) as shown in comparison with the data of gel permeation chromatography (GPC). This molecular weight determination of cellulose using end group analysis by means of 1H-NMR spectroscopy was demonstrated for the first time. Furthermore, a specific modification of hydroxyls in end groups could be exemplified in case of 1-OH-deacetylation of the REG of peracetylated LODP cellulose.  相似文献

This paper is focused on the synthesis and characterization of hydrophobically modified polyelectrolytes and their use as reducing as well as stabilizing agents for the formation of gold nanoparticles. Commercially available poly(acrylic acid) has been hydrophobically modified with various degrees of grafting of butylamine introduced randomly along the chain. Different analytical methods are performed, i.e., IR and 1H-NMR spectroscopy in combination with elemental analysis to determine the degree of grafting. The modified polymers can successfully be used for the controlled single-step synthesis and stabilization of gold nanoparticles. The process of nanoparticle formation is investigated by means of UV-vis spectroscopy. The size and shape of the particles obtained in the presence of unmodified or modified polyelectrolytes are characterized by dynamic light scattering, zeta potential measurements and transmission electron microscopy. The polyelectrolytes were involved in the crystallization process of the nanoparticles, and in the presence of hydrophobic microdomains at the particle surface, a better stabilization at higher temperature can be observed.  相似文献

Low-molar-mass surfactants (S) and polyelectrolytes (PE) containing diazosulfonate chromophores which are photo-labile and electrically charged were used for the formation of polyelectrolyte/surfactant complexes (PESC) in combination with commonly used polyelectrolytes and surfactants. The stable complexes are no longer water-soluble and were characterized by means of nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and in some cases by means of gel-permeation chromatography measurements. Complexes with a 1 : 1 stoichiomctry with respect to charge are formed. Ultraviolet irradiation of the photo-labile PESC resulted in the loss of the ionic interactions.  相似文献

Several hyperbranched polyesters have been prepared in a one-pot polycondensation reaction. Molecular weights, viscosities and rheological behavior of these polymers have been characterized.
