A novel corrole-type macrocycle, oxocorrologen (2), substituted with hemiquinone groups, has been synthesized. It was found to undergo multiple tautomerism of its exchangeable protons between electronegative atom sites at the macrocyclic core (nitrogen atoms) and periphery (phenol oxygen atoms). Alkylation at one macrocyclic nitrogen atom with a 4-nitrobenzyl group gave 3, which can exist in only two tautomeric forms depending on the solvent. Tautomerism has been studied by means of (1)H NMR spectroscopy in a variety of solvents and solvent mixtures. Tautomer structure assignments have been supported by DFT calculations of the relative energies of the tautomers. X-ray crystallography of the N-nitrobenzyl derivative has revealed that intramolecular hydrogen bonding may be responsible for stabilizing the observed tautomers. The solvent dependence of the tautomerism of 2 and 3 confers solvatochromism. Electrochemical measurements on 2 and 3 in their respective quinone forms have revealed irreversible processes, but indicate that they are both electron-deficient with a small HOMO-LUMO gap and first reduction potentials close to those of fullerene electron acceptors.  相似文献

A new high-spin isomer in 145Sm was observed by in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy with the reaction 122Sn(27Al,3np) at 127 MeV performed at the Nordball multi-detector array in Roskilde. The excitation energy of the isomer was determined to be E x= 11147 keV, and using the generalized centroid-shift method its half-life was found to be T 1/2= (7.4 ± 1.0) ns. Clusters of heavy metal atoms in strong femtosecond laser-light fields undergo multi-ionization with the loss of hundreds of electrons. The cross section largely exceeds that of corresponding isolated atoms, which leads in the case of PbN to a complete ionization of the 4f shell with a light intensity of 1.2×1015 W/cm2. Experimental investigations on Pb and Pt clusters with variable pulse widths and, for the first time, with the pump&probe technique give insight into the dynamics of the coupling of electromagnetic radiation into the clusters. Both approaches support the picture according to which, after an initial charging, the clusters expand due to Coulomb forces. This expansion is accompanied by a reduction of the electron density and at the same time by an increase of the optical sensitivity. Once the plasmon energy of the diluted nanoplasma approaches the photon energy, the charging efficiency increases significantly. The experimental observations are confirmed by random-phase approximation (RPA) calculations of the optical response, including molecular-dynamics simulations of the expanding systems. The present study describes the green method for the preparation of chitosan loaded with silver nanoparticles (CS‐AgNPs) in the presence of 3 different extracted essential oils. The essential oils play dual roles as reductant and capping agents. The reducing power and DPPH (2,2‐diphenyl‐1‐picrylhydrazyl) assay for the 3 essential oils—Thymus syriacus (T), wild mint (M), and rosemary (R)—have been reported. The preparation of CS‐AgNPs was performed by 2 steps. The 3 previously extracted essential oils have been used as reducing and capping agent in the first step, while in the second step, silver nanoparticles were integrated in chitosan. The integration of AgNPs in the structure of chitosan was confirmed by ultraviolet‐visible, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy techniques, and energy dispersive X‐ray. Surface plasmon resonance confirmed the formation of CS‐AgNPs with maximum absorbance at λmax between 405 ‐ 410 and 410 ‐ 430 nm for colloidal and films of CS‐AgNPs, respectively. The intensity of bands at 3408 cm?1 in the fourier transform infrared spectroscopy measurements was decreased substantially and shifted slightly to lower frequency (?υ = 43 cm?1). Scanning electron microscopy shows a spherical morphology of AgNPs with size of 62 nm for both colloidal and film samples, and energy dispersive X‐ray analysis shows peaks confirming AgNPs formation.  相似文献

The binding of Gd3+ to two carboxylated polyglycidyl methacrylate latices was investigated. The latices differed in size (60 and 140 nm for CL6 and CL3, respectively) and surface charge density. The Gd3+ concentration in aqueous suspension was determined using an arsenazo (III) assay. Using 153Gd3+, the bound amount was determined directly. Because of the high binding affinity, ligand depletion became evident. The binding was pH dependent, investigated in buffer solutions not influencing the arsenazo (III) assay. Optimal binding occurs by formation of sodium salts of the carboxylic groups and replacement of Na+ and H+ by Gd3+. The dissociation constants of the particles were k D ≈ 5 × 10−5 mol/L (CL3) and 10−4 mol/L (CL6), without cooperativity (Hill plot). Colloidal stability was investigated. We present here the results on the synthesis of functionalized alkynyl tellurides using the reaction of vinyl, alkynyl, and aryl tellurides with several alkynyl iodides catalyzed by copper iodide. The reaction proceeded cleanly under mild reaction conditions, at room temperature, in the absence of base and ligand giving alkynyl tellurides in acceptable yields. The obtained compounds 3a-c and 3m-o were screened for antidepressive-like activity using the tail suspension test (TST) in mice. Compounds 3a-c and 3m-o administered at 10 mg/kg by oral route produced a significant antidepressant-like effect on the TST in mice.  相似文献
