An optical particle counting system has been developed for testing industrial pulse-cleaned cartridge dust collectors. The system is applied to measure fractional penetration of a full scale dust collector and to study its short term and long term dynamic behavior. Results show collector efficiencies for dust loadings of 23 g/m3 exceeding 99.999% over the particle size range from 0.5 μm to 10 μm, with a minimum fractional penetration occurring at approximately 2 μm.  相似文献

We report heat dissipation times in semiconductor nanocrystals of CdSe. Specifically, a previously unresolved, subnanosecond decay component in the low-temperature photoluminescence decay dynamics exhibits longer decay lifetimes (tens to hundreds of picoseconds) for larger nanocrystals as well as a size-independent, ~25-meV spectral shift. We attribute the fast relaxation to transient phonon-mediated relaxation arising from nonequilibrium acoustic phonons. Following acoustic phonon dissipation, the dark exciton state recombines more slowly via LO-phonon assistance resulting in the observed spectral shift. The measured relaxation time scales agree with classical calculations of thermal diffusion, indicating that interfacial thermal conductivity does not limit thermal transport in these semiconductor nanocrystal dispersions.  相似文献

Summary Toxicological analysis in blood and urine for biological monitoring of occupationally exposed persons must be carried out in the Federal Republic of Germany under an internal and external quality control scheme. The results of many years of experiences with 5 commercially available control specimens (1 blood, 1 serum, 3 urine samples) from three companies for internal quality assurance are presented. Precision and accuracy were evaluated by comparison of our results with the data of the initial period (within day precision of the methods) and the assigned values. Over years the commercially available control specimens show good comparable results. Except in a few cases, there was a good agreement between our results and the assigned values. An expected worldwide increase of the importance of biological monitoring makes the availability of control specimens for everyday use a prerequisite in effective internal quality control. This is especially valid for the determination of organic compounds, e.g. solvents and pesticides in blood and urine samples.  相似文献

1H-Cyclopropa[b]naphthalene 3c and the 2,7-diphenyl-substituted derivative 3a have been synthesized via cycloaddition of the appropriate isobenzofurans 1a and 1b to 1-bromo-2-chlorocyclopropene and aromatization of the adducts with low-valent Ti. The same procedure afforded the 2,7-dimethyl-H-cyelopropa[g]isoquinoline ( 15 ), but failed for the parent azacompound. Reaction of adducts of furans to 1-bromo-2-chlorocyclopropenes with low-valent Ti produced mixtures of cyclopropabenzenes 19 and 1,6-dihalogeno-1,3,5-cycloheptatrienes 18 . The latter could be converted to cyclopropabenzenes with BuLi.  相似文献

This paper considers the problem of scheduling part families and jobs within each part family in a flowline manufacturing cell with independent family setup times where parts (jobs) in each family are processed together. The objective is to minimize total flow time. A branch-and-bound algorithm capable of solving moderate sized problems is developed. Several heuristic algorithms are proposed and empirically evaluated as to their effectiveness and efficiency in finding optimal permutation schedules. These results show that several heuristic algorithms generate solutions that are better than those generated by an existing genetic algorithm.  相似文献

The probabilities for non-radiative (n.r.) excitationsP n.r. in the muonic nuclides208Pb,232Th, and238U have been determined from (μ?,γγ)-measurements by comparing the intensities of muonic X-ray transitions in single and coincidence spectra. The value ofP n.r. (3p→1s), measured for the first time, is about 90% for the actinides232Th and238U, but only about 8% for208Pb. The value ofP n.r. (3d→1s) is found to be 10 % for233Th, 13% for238U, and about 4% for208Pb. For208Pb a vanishing strength of the n.r. decay of the 2p-level is found, while for232Th and for238U n.r. strengths of about 20% and 26%, respectively, are observed. By regarding two subcomplexes of the 2p→1s transitions leading to different mean excitation energies the n.r. transition probabilities were found to be different for238U only, 21.6% and 31.1.%, respectively.  相似文献
