The boundary-value problem for calculation of differential absorption of thermal radiation is formulated based on the modified DP0 approximation. The solution of this problem is supplemented by simple analytical approximations for the normalised absorbed radiation power. The latter is used together with the analytical approximation for the efficiency factor of absorption, suggested earlier. The resulting simplified model is applied to the specific problem of absorption of thermal radiation by a diesel fuel droplet. Two types of diesel fuel have been considered. It is pointed out that the radial distribution of absorbed thermal radiation power is non-monotonic. The power absorbed in the droplet core is shown to be rather large and almost homogeneous. Also, the absorbed power is large in the vicinity of the droplet surface, but is minimal in the intermediate region. It is pointed out that the variations of the refractive index of diesel fuel with wavelengths can smooth the predicted radial dependence of the thermal radiation power, absorbed in diesel fuel droplets.  相似文献

A meshless method for modelling two-phase flows with phase transition is described. The method is based on consideration of three systems: viscous-vortex blobs, thermal-blobs and droplets; and can be applied for numerical simulation of 2D non-isothermal flows of ‘gas-evaporating droplets’ in the framework of the one-way coupled two-fluid approach. The carrier phase is viscous incompressible gas. The dispersed phase is presented by a cloud of identical spherical droplets, and, due to evaporation, the radius and mass of droplets are time dependent. The carrier phase parameters are calculated using the viscous-vortex and thermal-blob method; the dispersed phase parameters are calculated using the Lagrangian approach. Two applications have been considered: (i) a standard benchmark – Lamb vortex; (ii) a cold spray injected into a hot quiescent gas. In the latter problem three cases corresponding to three droplet sizes were investigated. The smallest droplets (of the three cases considered) are more readily entrained by the carrier phase and form ring-like structures; the flow shows better mixing. Larger droplets evaporate less intensively. The medium sized droplets collect into two narrow bands stretched along the jet axis. Cosmic strings are linear structures of cosmological scales whose search has been actively conducted in recent years. Progress in constructing theoretical models and investigating the properties of cosmic strings and a significant growth of observational resources provide extensive possibilities for the search of such objects by several independent observational methods. These methods include searching for the events of gravitational lensing of distant background sources by strings and searching for the distinctive cosmic micro-wave background anisotropy structures induced by strings. We discuss these techniques and propose the methods of searching for strings oriented toward the latest spacecraft, including the Planck project.  相似文献

An internal singularity of a string four-dimensional black hole with second order curvature corrections is investigated. A restriction to a minimal size of a neutral black hole is obtained in the frame of the model considered. In reaction of unsaturated compounds with sulfur dichloride in the presence of dimethyl sulfide radically new induced directions are realized: the reagent is involved as dimer or trimer (formation of di- and trisulfides). Alongside this process a conjugate chlorination occurred with participation of external nucleophiles, dimethyl sulfide and acetonitrile, furnishing sulfonium chlorides and N-substituted acetamides respectively. The relative importance of these alternative reactions depends on solvent, alkene structure, and order of reagents addition.  相似文献

Using a novel differential magneto-optical imaging technique we investigate the phenomenon of vortex lattice melting in crystals of Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 (BSCCO). The images of melting reveal complex patterns in the formation and evolution of the vortex solid-liquid interface with varying field (H)/temperature (T). We believe that the complex melting patterns are due to a random distribution of material disorder/inhomogeneities across the sample, which create fluctuations in the local melting temperature or field value. To study the fluctuations in the local melting temperature/field, we have constructed maps of the melting landscape T m(H, r), viz., the melting temperature (T m) at a given location (r) in the sample at a given field (H). A study of these melting landscapes reveals an unexpected feature: the melting landscape is not fixed, but changes rather dramatically with varying field and temperature along the melting line. It is concluded that the changes in both the scale and shape of the landscape result from the competing contributions of different types of quenched disorder which have opposite effects on the local melting transition.  相似文献

We consider the effects of possible tachyonic perturbations of dark energy on the CMB anisotropy. Such perturbations emerge, in particular, in models with phantom dark energy violating Lorentz invariance. Therefore, we discuss tachyonic perturbations with a Lorentz-violating dispersion relation. We show that the corresponding contribution to the CMB anisotropy can have an appreciable amplitude, while the angular spectrum has a distinct maximum. These predictions are compared with observational data. The tachyonic contribution slightly improves the agreement between the theory and observations, but this improvement is statistically insignificant and our analysis gives constraints on the tachyonic perturbation amplitude.  相似文献

In this paper, the apparent motions of quasars, which are the reference sources of the international celestial reference system (ICRS), are analyzed. Kinematic parameters from four catalogs compiled by different research groups are used. Apparent motions are expanded on a special set of vector functions on the sphere that are an irreducible representation of the rotation group O(3). The degree of the noninertiality of the barycentric reference system caused by the rotation of the solar system around the galactic center is estimated according to expansion coefficients. The direction and magnitude of the acceleration vector are calculated and compared with the alternative estimates. This method is discussed as a way to test Newton’s law on a large scale.  相似文献
