A fluorimetric method is described for determining guanine in its nucleosides and nucleotides. The method is based on the reaction of the compounds with phenylglyoxal as a fluorogenic reagent in a weakly acidic solution (pH 4.0). The fluorescences produced show excitation and emission maxima around 365 and 510 nm, respectively. The conditions established for the reaction do not produce fluorescence from other nucleic acid bases such as adenine, cytosine, uracil and thymine, and their nucleosides and nucleotides. The method is sensitive and selective for guanine and its derivatives, with a detection limit of 47–310 pmol ml?1 in the reaction mixture. 相似文献

The system H(+)Na(+) has been studied on Sephadex C-25 and C-50 at two ionic strengths by potentiometry. The data have been fitted by the H?gfeldt three-parameter model. For ionic strength 0.100 M (Na)ClO(4) an excellent fit is obtained with a standard deviation of +/-0.013 for both gels. For ionic strength 0.010 M (Na)ClO(4) a satisfactory fit could only be obtained by excluding the lowest and highest pH-value for each gel. 相似文献

Evaluation of carbon dioxide equivalent values for greenhouse gases: CEWN as a new indicator replacing GWP 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
A new indicator, the CEWN (Carbon Dioxide Equivalent Warming Number), is proposed as an alternative to the GWP (Global Warming Potential). CEWN is a metric where the global warming by the emission of gases is compared unifying the removal rate of each gas from the atmosphere, using carbon dioxide as a reference. To comply with the basket system of the Kyoto Protocol, GWP is used with a 100-year time horizon, making it unsatisfactory for the evaluation of long-lived compounds. Reaction of pentadentate Schiff-base ligands, 1,3-bis(3-methoxysalicylideneamino)-2-propanol (H3msap) with manganese(II) salts afforded tetranuclear mixed-valent manganese complexes, [Mn4(msap)2(CH3CO2)3(CH3O)(H2O)]·H2O (1) and [Mn4(msap)2(C6H5CO2)3(CH3O)] (2), which were characterized by elemental analysis, infrared and diffused reflectance spectra and temperature dependence of magnetic susceptibilities (4.5–300 K). Single-crystal X-ray crystallography of these complexes showed that four manganese atoms are chelated by two Schiff-base ligands and further coordinated by syn–syn bridging, syn–anti bridging, and monodentate or bidentate-carboxylato groups, forming a Y-shaped cluster made up of two MnII and two MnIII atoms. Diffused reflectance spectra are featureless, showing broad bands around at near-UV and visible regions.
