The diffractive vector meson photoproduction with hadron dissociation in coherent hadron-hadron interactions at LHC energies
is studied assuming that the color singlet t-channel exchange carries large momentum transfer. We estimate the rapidity distribution and total cross-section for the processes
pp → pVX and PbPb → PbVX (V = ρ or ϒ considering the non-forward solution of the BFKL equation at high energy and large momentum transfer. Our results indicate

To elucidate the reasons underlying the poor penetration of non-viral vectors in tissues, relating transport properties to
physico-chemical parameters of vectors may be crucial. These properties can be influenced by the presence of multiples labels
that are used. Therefore utilizing a vector with minimum of labels preferably not more than one is important to studying penetration
in tissues. The cell impermeant bisintercalating dye YOYO-1 was found suitable to both monitor the formation of complexes
between DNA and an amphipathic peptide LK15 and, to track their penetration in HCT116 spheroids by confocal microscopy. The
results revealed a limited decrease of fluorescence ascribed to the high affinity of YOYO-1 to bind DNA. The residual fluorescence
of complexes can be exploited to monitor penetration into spheroids, after correction for YOYO-1 attenuation, and to revealing
hyaluronidase-induced reduced binding. Hence high affinity dyes such as YOYO-1 with inefficiently quenched fluorescence may

Imitation of cellular processes in cell-like compartments is a current research focus in synthetic biology. Here, a method is introduced for assembling an artificial cytoskeleton in a synthetic cell model system based on a poly(N-isopropyl acrylamide) (PNIPAM) composite material. Toward this end, a PNIPAM-based composite material inside water-in-oil droplets that are stabilized with PNIPAM-functionalized and commercial fluorosurfactants is introduced. The temperature-mediated contraction/release behavior of the PNIPAM-based cytoskeleton is investigated. The reversibility of the PNIPAM transition is further examined in bulk and in droplets and it could be shown that hydrogel induced deformation could be used to controllably manipulate droplet-based synthetic cell motility upon temperature changes. It is envisioned that a combination of the presented artificial cytoskeleton with naturally occurring components might expand the bandwidth of the bottom-up synthetic biology. 相似文献
