Self-injection length in La0.7Ca0.3MnO3-YBa2Cu3O7-δ ferromagnet-superconductor multilayer thin films
We have carried out extensive studies on the self-injection problem in barrierless heterojunctions between La0.7Ca0.3MnO3 (LCMO) and YBa2Cu3O7-δ (YBCO) thin films. The heterojunctions were formed in situ by sequentially growing LCMO and YBCO films on 〈100〉 LaAlO3 (LAO) substrate using a pulsed laser deposition (PLD) system. YBCO micro-bridges with 64 μm width were patterned both on
the LAO (control) and LCMO side of the substrate. Critical current, I
c, was measured at 77 K on both the control side as well as the LCMO side for different YBCO film thickness. It was observed
that while the control side showed a J
c of ∼ 2 × 106 A/cm2, the LCMO side showed about half the value for the same thickness (1800 ?). The difference in J
c indicates that a certain thickness of YBCO has become ‘effectively’ normal due to self-injection. From the measurement of
J
c at two different thicknesses (1800 ? and 1500 ?) of YBCO films both on the LAO as well as the LCMO side, the value of self-injection
length (at 77 K) was estimated to be ∼ 900 ?. To the authors’ best knowledge, this is the first time that self-injection length
has been quantified. A control experiment carried out with LaNiO3 deposited by PLD on YBCO did not show any evidence of self-injection. 相似文献

Molybdenum trioxide thin films were prepared by reactive pulsed laser deposition on Corning 7059 glass substrates. The influence
of oxygen partial pressure and deposition temperature on the structure, surface morphology and optical properties of these
films was studied to understand the growth mechanism of MoO3 thin films. The films formed at 473 K in an oxygen partial pressure of 100 mTorr exhibited predominantly a (0k0) orientation,
corresponding to an orthorhombic layered structure of α-MoO3. The evaluated optical band gap of the films was 3.24 eV. The crystallite size increased with increase of deposition temperature.
The films formed at an oxygen partial pressure of pO2=100 mTorr and at a deposition temperature greater than 700 K exhibited both (0k0) and (0kl) orientations, representing α-β
mixed phases of MoO3. The films formed at an oxygen partial pressure less than 100 mTorr were found to be sub-stoichiometric with α-β mixed phases.
The investigation revealed the growth of polycrystalline and single-phase orthorhombic-layered-structure α-MoO3 thin films with composition nearly approaching the nominal stoichiometry at moderate substrate temperatures in an oxygen
partial pressure of 100 mTorr.

Hole-doped rare-earth manganite La0.7Ca0.3MnO3 and the electron-doped manganite La0.7Ce0.3MnO3 both show a metal-insulator transition around 250 K associated with a ferromagnetic transition and colossal magnetoresistance.
In an earlier publication we have reported the rectifying characteristic of La0.7Ca0.3MnO3/SrTiO3/La0.7Ce0.3MnO3 tunnel junction at room temperature, showing that it is possible to fabricate a diode out of the polaronic insulator regime
of doped manganites. Here we report the magneto-transport properties of such a tunnel junction above and below the metal-insulator
transition. We show, from the large positive magnetoresistance of the tunnel junction at low temperature, that La0.7Ce0.3MnO3 could be a minority spin carrier ferromagnet. The implication of this observation is discussed. 相似文献

O7+δ (M=Mo, W and Re) compounds have been stabilized by chemical doping. Superconductivity is observed for these phases in the
range 30–45 K. X-ray diffraction studies suggest a relatively small orthorhombicity compared to Ba-analogue. X-ray photoelectron
spectroscopic investigations reveal that the stabilizing cations are in the hexavalent state. The observation of the higher
oxidation state of M-ions accounts for the excess oxygen content in these phases which is in accordence with the diffraction
results.

The structure and surface morphology of WO3 thin films deposited by a laser-ablation technique have been found to be strongly dependent on the deposition conditions and the nature of the substrate. By precisely controlling the substrate temperature and the oxygen partial pressure, amorphous, polycrystalline, nano-crystalline and iso-epitaxial WO3 thin films were successfully grown. This paper deals with the problem of constructing superregular matrices that lead to MDP convolutional codes. These matrices are a type of lower block triangular Toeplitz matrices with the property that all the square submatrices that can possibly be nonsingular due to the lower block triangular structure are nonsingular. We present a new class of matrices that are superregular over a sufficiently large finite field F. Such construction works for any given choice of characteristic of the field F and code parameters (n,k,δ) such that (n−k)|δ. The dynamics of four source–sink models for an exploited resource under a constant fishing effort are here presented. Two models are described by ordinary differential equations; the other two are expressed by impulsive differential equations systems. A continuous time growth function for the resource is assumed for each of the four model. The impulsiveness in the harvest activity among fixed seasonal closures were considered in the models expressed by impulsive differential equations. We note that all our models show the possibility of getting a sustainable resource exploitation. The results obtained using both techniques are compared.
