Criteria for optimizing dcems

As depth-selective conversion electron Mössbauer-effect measurements present a difficult task in Mössbauer spectroscopy due to the long recording times involved, the shortening of the measuring times is of major practical importance. Possible improvements of the overall experimental performance and measuring time gains due to efficiency increase and back-ground reduction will be analyzed; advantages of a scintillation counter over a channeltron for⁵⁷Fe DCEMS applications will be discussed.     

Über Herstellung von Quecksilbersolen durch Reduktion

Zusammenfassung Es wurden zwei Methoden zur Darstellung von kolloidem Quecksilber durch Reduktion von Merkurisalzen ausgearbeitet. Der Dissoziationsgrad der angewandten Merkurisalze ist von gro?em Einflu? auf das Gelingen der Soldarstellung. Es erwies sich, da? nur dann bei der Reduktion von Quecksilbersalzen das Metall in kolloider Form erhalten wird, wenn schon als Zwischenprodukt ein Sol auftritt. Und zwar ist Bedingung, da? dieses Sol Teilchen enth?lt, welche, wie die von Quecksilbersol, negativ geladen sind. Diese Bedingung wird z. B. von Merkuro-, nicht dagegen von Merkurioxydsol erfüllt.

On the Analytical Derivation of Quantum Fisher Information and Skew Information for two Qubit X States

The quantum Fisher information defined via the symmetric logarithmic derivative and the skew information are two different aspects describing the information contents of quantum mechanical density operators. They are considered as natural generalizations of the classical Fisher information and constitute key ingredients in the emerging field of quantum metrology. In this paper, we give the analytical expression of quantum Fisher information and skew information for two-qubit system prepared in a two-qubit state of X type.
