The molecular conformation and melting behavior of triblock position isomers H(CH(2))(k)(OCH(2)CH(2))(4)O(CH(2))(12)(-)(k)H (abbreviated as C(k)E(4)C(12)(-)(k)) with k = 6-11 have been studied by infrared spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), with focus on the effect of the position of an oligo(oxyethylene) block in the molecule. The analysis of infrared spectra has revealed that the stable molecular form changes from a fully planar structure (gamma form) to a planar/helical/planar structure (beta form) with a change of the position of the tetrakis(oxyethylene) block from the center to the end of the molecule. The DSC measurements have shown that the melting points of the gamma-form solid decrease and the melting points of the beta-form solid increase with a shift of the tetrakis(oxyethylene) block toward the terminal of the molecule. The stabilities of the two molecular forms change over between k = 8 and 9. C(8)E(4)C(4) and C(9)E(4)C(3) exhibit contrasting conformational behavior with temperature; when the temperature is increased, the metastable beta form of C(8)E(4)C(4) transforms into the stable gamma form, while the metastable gamma form of C(9)E(4)C(3) transforms into the stable beta form. The metastable gamma form with a planar oligo(oxyethylene) block is a new finding in the present work. The experimental results of the stabilities of molecular forms are explained by the relative stabilities of partial crystal lattices formed by the alkyl and oligo(oxyethylene) blocks.  相似文献

Oriented spherulitic textures of a rod-shaped nylon 6.12 sample were crystallized by the temperature slope method. Crystallization conditions were compared by changing temperatures and growth rates. Three types of textures (negative spherulites, positive spherulites, and spherulitic aggregates) were observed by this method. The negative textures appeared when the growth rate was less than 0.1 mm/h. Crystalline orientation and mechanical properties of the textures were investigated by x-ray diffraction and micro-hardness measurements, respectively. The hydrogen-bonded (010) planes were perpendicular to the growth direction in the negative spherulite, while they were parallel to the growth direction in the positive spherulite. In the spherulitic aggregates, the b axis was parallel to the growth direction, while the (010) planes formed roughly an angle of 45° with the growth direction. Due to the orientation of the hydrogen-boned planes, the negative texture exhibited an anisotropy, with hardness values of 106 MPa and 137 Mpa when measured perpendicular or parallel to the growth direction, respectively.  相似文献

We shall discuss the relations among sampling theory (Sinc method), reproducing kernels and the Tikhonov regularization. Here, we see the important difference of the Sobolev Hilbert spaces and the Paley–Wiener spaces when we use their reproducing kernel Hibert spaces as approximate spaces in the Tikhonov regularization. Further, by using the Paley–Wiener spaces, we shall illustrate numerical experiments for new inversion formulas for the Gaussian convolution as a much more powerful and improved method by using computers. Shimalactones A and B are neuritogenic polyketides possessing characteristic oxabicyclo[2.2.1]heptane and bicyclo[4.2.0]octadiene ring systems that are produced by the marine fungus Emericella variecolor GF10. We identified a candidate biosynthetic gene cluster and conducted heterologous expression analysis. Expression of ShmA polyketide synthase in Aspergillus oryzae resulted in the production of preshimalactone. Aspergillus oryzae and Saccharomyces cerevisiae transformants expressing ShmA and ShmB produced shimalactones A and B, thus suggesting that the double bicyclo-ring formation reactions proceed non-enzymatically from preshimalactone epoxide. DFT calculations strongly support the idea that oxabicyclo-ring formation and 8π-6π electrocyclization proceed spontaneously after opening of the preshimalactone epoxide ring through protonation. We confirmed the formation of preshimalactone epoxide in vitro, followed by its non-enzymatic conversion to shimalactones in the dark.  相似文献

We propose hollow fibers for delivery of high-peak-power pulsed Nd:YAG laser light. Hollow fibers with an internal polymer layer were fabricated by a liquid-phase coating technique. We reduced the losses of the fibers in the near-infrared region by producing a silver film that was very smooth owing to use of an ultrasonic wave for mixing of the silver and the reducer solutions in the silver-plating process. The straight losses of the 1-m-long polymer-coated fibers were 0.3 dB for the 700-mum bore size and 0.1 dB for the 1000-mum bore fiber.  相似文献

Double-pass casting was evaluated as a technique to overcome hard-to-cast membranes or hard-to-mix solutions. Two types of polyethersulfone (PES) membranes were tested, one incorporating a hydrophilic surface modifying additive and the other with a hydrophobic one. It was found that the morphological improvement was more obvious for hydrophobic membranes since their solutions were not completely homogenous and hard-to-cast. The double-pass hydrophobic membranes had smoother surfaces and more porous support layers, resulting in higher fluxes, higher volume of treated water (67.4% increase) but decreased natural organic matters (NOM) rejection. The new casting approach produced hydrophilic membranes having a spongy structure (as opposed to finger-like cavities), yet they had similar NOM rejection, a 12.4% higher flux than the single-pass membranes prepared from the same dope. This is attributed to the quite homogenous hydrophilic casting solutions and to the performance of the original hydrophilic membranes (single-pass casting) that was relatively good.  相似文献
