The phase diagrams of the binary systems of picric acid with naphthalene, anthracene and phenanthrene, and of -naphthol withp-toluidine, determined by the thaw-melt method, show the formation of a molecular complex and two eutectics in each system. The heats of the pure components, eutectics and molecular complexes were determined by differential scanning calorimetry. Comparison of the experimental heats of fusion with the theoretical values calculated via the mixture law suggests cluster formation in the melts. The entropy of fusion, enthalpy of mixing and excess thermodynamic functions were also calculated from the heat of fusion data.

Zusammenfassung Die Phasendiagramme der binären Systeme von Pikrinsäure mit Naphthalin, Anthrazen und Phenanthren sowie von -Naphthol mit p-Aminotoluol wurden bestimmt. In jedem System zeigt sich die Bildung eines Molekülkomplexes sowie je zwei Eutektika. Mittels DSC wurden die Schmelzwärmen der reinen Komponenten, der eutektischen Mischungen und der Molekülkomplexe ermitteis. Der Vergleich der experimentell ermittelten Schmelzwärmen mit den mittels der Mischungsregel errechneten Werten läßt auf eine Clusterbildung in der Schmelze schließen. Weiterhin wurden aus den Schmelzwärmen auch Werte für Schmelzentropie und Mischungsenthalpie errechnet.

Using the Bohm-Pines hamiltonian we present a method for calculating the effective interaction between two plasmons by solving the equation of motion of a double-time retarded commutator defined to represent the propagation of two plasmons. This is achieved by using a decoupling procedure for the higher-order plasmon Green functions which is based on the conservation of frequency moments. The effective interaction between two plasmons is found to be repulsive, in contrast with the results obtained earlier. 相似文献

In the investigation reported here an attempt has been made to study the influence of Berger's approximation on the non-linear transient response of circular plates and shallow spherical shells. The governing equations of motion obtained from Berger's approximation are solved by using the rapidly converging Chebyshev series spacewise and the Houbolt scheme for integration in the time domain. Results calculated when using Berger's approximation are compared with exact results. It is shown that Berger's method yields very accurate values for plates and shells under transient loading, in the case of immovable edge conditions. 相似文献

Embryogenic tissues of Dioscorea bulbifera were cryopreserved using the encapsulation-dehydration technique. Genetic stability of plants regenerated from cryopreserved embryogenic tissues was assessed using molecular, biochemical and morphological analysis. The random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) analysis of 60 cryopreserved-derived and 20 in vitro grown (control) plantlets showed that 10 primers produced 62 clear reproducible DNA fragment profiles. The amplification products were monomorphic for all the plantlets except one. A total of 4960 DNA fragments were obtained from this study showing no variation in RAPD profiles. The diosgenin content of cryopreserved-derived plants, analyzed using HPLC, was similar to that of control plants. Morphology and the ability to form microtuber were also found to be unaltered in cryopreserved embryo-derived plantlets. Thus, the D. bulbifera plants regenerated from cryopreserved embryogenic tissues were genetically stable at the molecular, biochemical and morphological levels. 相似文献

Dielectric properties of silver/SiO2 nanocomposite thin films grown by high-pressure d.c. sputtering technique were studied by spectroscopic ellipsometry (300-800 nm). The dielectric behavior of the nanocomposite thin films largely depended on the particle size, its number density and the surrounding environments. The films showed semiconductor-like behavior up to a critical particle size and concentration, beyond which the films exhibited the typical surface plasmon resonance characteristics in their optical properties. The refractive index was also found to have a strong dependence on the particle size and its dispersion in the matrix. The results were found to be consistent with those obtained from UV-VIS optical absorbance data. An efficient method for the Beckmann rearrangement of ketoximes to amides mediated by a catalytic amount (15 mol %) of propylphosphonic anhydride (T3P®) is described. Aldoximes underwent second order Beckmann rearrangement to provide the corresponding nitriles in excellent yields on reacting with T3P (15 mol %) at room temperature.
