Four-wave mixing: Photon statistics and the impact on a co-propagating quantum signal

We reconstruct the photon statistics of a single-photon source based on the stimulated four-wave mixing (FWM) process. We find that the statistics of the source goes from thermal, at a low power regime, to Poissonian, at a high power regime. We also study the impact of the FWM process on a co-propagating coherent quantum signal in a wavelength-division multiplexed (WDM) lightwave system. The statistics of the quantum signal changes from Poissonian to thermal when a low power is used, and remains Poissonian for a higher power. A multithermal regime is also observed when a moderate power is used.

Influence of Dopant Loading on the Photo‐ and Electrochemical Properties of (N,O)‐Co‐doped Graphene.

A series of (N, O)‐co‐doped graphenes with different N and O loadings are prepared by the pyrolysis of natural chitosan. When the percentage of dopant increases, the conduction‐band potential and charge‐separation quantum yield increase, whereas the charge‐separation lifetime decreases.     

Digraphs with at most one trivial critical ideal

Critical ideals generalize the critical group, Smith group and the characteristic polynomials of the adjacency and Laplacian matrices of a graph. We give a complete characterization of the digraphs with at most one trivial critical ideal. Which implies the characterizations of the digraphs whose critical group has one invariant factor equal to one, and the digraphs whose Smith group has one invariant factor equal to one.

Bounds for the product of modified Bessel functions

In this note our aim is to present some monotonicity properties of the product of modified Bessel functions of the first and second kind. Certain bounds for the product of modified Bessel functions of the first and second kind are also obtained. These bounds improve and extend known bounds for the product of modified Bessel functions of the first and second kind of order zero. A new Turán type inequality is also given for the product of modified Bessel functions, and some open problems are stated, which may be of interest for further research.
