Volume properties of reverse micellar systems AOT/n-heptane/DMSO-water

The volume properties of reverse micellar systems bis(2-ethylhexyl) sulfosuccinate sodium salt/n-heptane/dimethyl sulfoxide-water are studied via densitometry. The presence of dimethyl sulfoxide and the increase in its amount in a dimethyl sulfoxide-water mixed solvent raise the apparent volume of the polar phase. This increase is also observed when the degree of hydration of the polar core and the temperature are raised.     

Synthesis of derivatives of 4,5-dihydrofuran,furan, and hexahydrobenzofuran from conjugated alkenynes

The regiochemistry of the reaction of 1,2- and 1-substituted derivatives of 1-buten-3-yne and its 4- and 2,4-substituted derivatives of the isoprenoid type with acetoacetic ester and acetylacetone in the presence of the manganese(III) acetate-copper(II) acetate oxidative system was studied. Divergence of the greedy algorithm in the Faber-Schauder system on a continuum cardinality set

The paper establishes that there exist a continuum cardinality set E ₀ ? [0, 1] and a function f ₀(x) ∈ C _[0,1], such that the greedy algorithm of f ₀(x) with respect to the Faber-Schauder system converges to +∞ at all points of E ₀.     

Quantum Non-Markovian Stochastic Equations

We derive quantum diffusion equations with transport coefficients explicitly depending on time from generalized non-Markovian Langevin equations and obtain generalized fluctuation-dissipation relations. We substantiate the axiomatic Lindblad approach in the microscopic model. General theory of thin plates on the basis of nonsymmetric theory of elasticity

The paper uses the asymptotically justified hypothesis method to construct three different general refined theories of micropolar thin elastic plates, depending on the values of physical dimensionless material parameters, involving: (i) independent displacement and rotation fields, (ii) constrained rotation, and (iii) low shear stiffness. All angular shear deformations are taken into account.
