The interactions between PSS-co-BVE copolymers and ionic surfactants (anionic and cationic) in aqueous solution have been investigated using pyrene as a photophysical probe. Static and dynamic fluorescence determinations have been used to obtain information about the microenvironments formed between both species. Micropolarity studies using the I1/I3 ratio of the vibronic bands of pyrene and the behavior of the I(E)/I(M) ratio between the monomer and excimer emissions show the formation of hydrophobic domains. The interactions between the polyelectrolytes and the oppositely charged surfactants lead to the formation of induced premicelles at surfactant concentrations lower than the cmc of the surfactants. This aggregation process is assumed to be due to electrostatic attraction. At the same concentration, the excimer-to-monomer emission ratio shows its first peak. At higher surfactant concentrations, near the cmc, micelles with the same properties as those found in pure aqueous solution are formed. On the other side, systems containing an anionic surfactant do not show this behavior at low concentrations. There is no apparent dependence of the cac on the composition of the polymer, reinforcing the assumption that the electrostatic interactions induce the formation of the premicelles. The values of the cac's follow the same trend as for the cmc's, DTAC>DTAB>CTAC. The polarity of the induced premicelles, as measured by the I1/I3 ratio, also indicates that the microdomains formed by the longer chain surfactants are more hydrophobic than those of the shorter chain surfactants, as also happens with real micelles.  相似文献

Oxazolidinone-substituted enecarbamates represent a mechanistically rich system for the study of stereoelectronic, steric, and conformational effects on stereoselectivity and mode selectivity in (1)O(2) [2 + 2] and ene reactions. Photooxygenation of these enecarbamates with (1)O(2) leads to diastereomerically pure dioxetanes that decompose to yield an oxazolidinone carbaldehyde and one of the two enantiomers of methyldesoxybenzoin in enantiomeric excess. Stereoselectivity originates at the allylic stereocenter, a result supported by quenching studies, computational analysis, and deuterium solvent isotope effects. [reaction: see text]  相似文献

New Copper Complexes Containing Phosphaalkene Ligands. Molecular Structure of [Cu{P(Mes*)C(NMe2)2}2]BF4 (Mes* = 2,4,6‐tBu3C6H2) Reaction of equimolar amounts of the inversely polarized phosphaalkene tBuP=C(NMe2)2 ( 1a ) and copper(I) bromide or copper(I) iodide, respectively, affords complexes [Cu3X3{μ‐P(tBu)C(NMe2)2}3] ( 2 ) (X =Br) and ( 3 ) (X = I) as the formal result of the cyclotrimerization of a 1:1‐adduct. Treatment of 1a with [Cu(L)Cl] (L = PiPr3; SbiPr3) leads to the formation of compounds [CuCl(L){P(tBu)C(NMe2)2}] ( 4a ) (L = PiPr3) and ( 4b ) (L = SbiPr3), respectively. Reaction of [(MeCN)4Cu]BF4 with two equivalents of PhP=C(NMe2)2 ( 1b ) yields complex [Cu{P(Ph)C(NMe2)2}2]BF4 ( 5b ). Similarly, compounds [Cu{P(Aryl)C(NMe2)2}2]BF4 ( 5c (Aryl = Mes and 5d (Aryl = Mes*)) are obtained from ArylP=C(NMe2)2 ( 1c : Aryl = Mes; 1d : Mes*) and [(MeCN)4Cu]BF4 in the presence of SbiPr3. Complexes 2 , 3 , 4a , 4b , and 5b‐5d are characterized by means of elemental analyses and spectroscopy (1H‐, 13C{1H}‐, 31P{1H}‐NMR). Nanoparticles of metal–organic frameworks (nanoMOFs) boast superior properties compared to their bulk analogs, yet little is known about how common synthetic parameters dictate particle sizes. Here, we provide experimental evidence for the “seesaw” model of nanoMOF growth. Solution acidity, ligand excess, and reactant concentrations are decoupled and shown to form the key independent determinants of nanoMOF sizes, thereby validating the proposal that nanoMOFs arise from coupled equilibria involving ligand deprotonation and metal–ligand complexation. By achieving the first demonstration of a seesaw relationship between nanoMOF sizes and ligand excess, these results provide further proof of the model, as they required deliberate manipulation of relationships outlined by the model. Exploring the relative impacts of these parameters reveals that ligand excess has the greatest ability to decrease sizes, although low acidity and high concentrations can exhibit similar effects. As a complement to existing models of polymer formation and crystal growth, the seesaw model therefore offers a powerful tool for reliable control over nanoMOF sizes.

PET oxidative cyclization of silyl enol ethers carrying suitable side chains with olefinic double bonds results in the stereoselective formation of carbocycles. Two model compounds for investigating the influence of silyl enol ether ring size are synthesized. A novel reaction sequence leading to the synthesis of substituted biphenyls containing a carbonyl group in an aliphatic chain has been achieved in one-pot reaction starting from iodoarenes and allylic alcohols under the catalytic action of palladium and norbornene. The latter is temporarily incorporated into a palladacycle, which directs the reaction towards the selective formation of an arylaryl bond. Norbornene spontaneously deinserts to allow the biphenylylpalladium bond thus formed to react in its turn with the allylic alcohol.  相似文献

In the past the formyloxyl radical, HC(O)O˙, had only been rarely experimentally observed, and those studies were theoretical-spectroscopic in the context of electronic structure. The absence of a convenient method for the preparation of the formyloxyl radical has precluded investigations into its reactivity towards organic substrates. Very recently, we discovered that HC(O)O˙ is formed in the anodic electrochemical oxidation of formic acid/lithium formate. Using a [CoIIIW12O40]5− polyanion catalyst, this led to the formation of phenyl formate from benzene. Here, we present our studies into the reactivity of electrochemically in situ generated HC(O)O˙ with organic substrates. Reactions with benzene and a selection of substituted derivatives showed that HC(O)O˙ is mildly electrophilic according to both experimentally and computationally derived Hammett linear free energy relationships. The reactions of HC(O)O˙ with terminal alkenes significantly favor anti-Markovnikov oxidations yielding the corresponding aldehyde as the major product as well as further oxidation products. Analysis of plausible reaction pathways using 1-hexene as a representative substrate favored the likelihood of hydrogen abstraction from the allylic C–H bond forming a hexallyl radical followed by strongly preferred further attack of a second HC(O)O˙ radical at the C1 position. Further oxidation products are surmised to be mostly a result of two consecutive addition reactions of HC(O)O˙ to the C Created by potrace 1.16, written by Peter Selinger 2001-2019 C double bond. An outer-sphere electron transfer between the formyloxyl radical donor and the [CoIIIW12O40]5− polyanion acceptor forming a donor–acceptor [D+–A] complex is proposed to induce the observed anti-Markovnikov selectivity. Finally, the overall reactivity of HC(O)O˙ towards hydrogen abstraction was evaluated using additional substrates. Alkanes were only slightly reactive, while the reactions of alkylarenes showed that aromatic substitution on the ring competes with C–H bond activation at the benzylic position. C–H bonds with bond dissociation energies (BDE) ≤ 85 kcal mol−1 are easily attacked by HC(O)O˙ and reactivity appears to be significant for C–H bonds with a BDE of up to 90 kcal mol−1. In summary, this research identifies the reactivity of HC(O)O˙ towards radical electrophilic substitution of arenes, anti-Markovnikov type oxidation of terminal alkenes, and indirectly defines the activity of HC(O)O˙ towards C–H bond activation.

Treatment of a toluene solution of [PdMe(2)(Cy(2)PCH(2)PCy(2))](1) with pentafluoropyridine in the presence of traces of water affords the generation of the A-frame complexes [(PdMe)(2){mu-kappa(2)(P,P)Cy(2)PCH(2)PCy(2)}(2)(mu-F)][SiMeF(4)]() and [(PdMe)(2){mu-kappa(2)(P,P)Cy(2)PCH(2)PCy(2)}(2)(mu-F)][OC(5)NF(4)](2b). If the reaction is performed in an NMR tube equipped with a PFA inliner, complex 2b is produced, only. Treatment of 1 with pentafluoropyridine in the presence of an excess water yields the pyridyloxy complex [PdMe(OC(5)NF(4))(Cy(2)PCH(2)PCy(2))](3). Compound [(PdMe)(2){mu-kappa(2)(P,P)Cy(2)PCH(2)PCy(2)}(2)(mu-F)][FHF](2c) bearing a bifluoride anion instead of SiMeF(4)(-) or OC(5)NF(4)(-) can be generated by reaction of 1 with substoichiometric amounts of Et(3)N.3HF. The analogous complex [(PdMe)(2){mu-kappa(2)(P,P)Ph(2)PCH(2)PPh(2)}(2)(mu-F)][FHF] (5c) has been synthesized by addition of Ph(2)PCH(2)PPh(2) to a solution of [PdMe(2)(Me(2)NCH(2)CH(2)NMe(2))](4) in THF and subsequent treatment of the reaction mixture with Et(3)N.3HF. The structure of the A-frame complex 5c has been determined by X-ray crystallography.  相似文献
