Intermolecular stacking in pyrazolo[3,4‐d]pyrimidine‐based pentamethylene‐linked flexible ­molecules

The crystal structures of 1‐{5‐[4,6‐bis­(methyl­sulfanyl)‐2H‐py­razolo­[3,4‐d]­pyrimidin‐2‐yl]­pentyl}‐6‐methyl­sulfanyl‐4‐(pyr­rolidin‐1‐yl)‐1H‐pyrazolo­[3,4‐d]­pyrimidine, C₂₂H₂₉N₉S₃, and 6‐methyl­sulfanyl‐1‐{5‐[6‐methyl­sulfanyl‐4‐(pyrrolidin‐1‐yl)‐2H‐pyrazolo­[3,4‐d]­pyrimidin‐2‐yl]­pentyl}‐4‐(pyrrolidin‐1‐yl)‐1H‐pyrazolo­[3,4‐d]­pyrimidine, C₂₅H₃₄N₁₀S₂, which differ in having either a pyrrolidine substituent or a methylsulfanyl group, show intermolecular stacking due to aromatic π–π interactions between the pyrazolo­[3,4‐d]­pyrimidine rings.     

Complete (1)H and (13)C NMR assignments of two new trans-clerodane diterpenoids from Otostegia limbata

Two new tricyclic trans-clerodane diterpenoids trivially named as ballotenic acid A (1) and ballodiolic acid A (2) have been isolated from ethyl acetate fraction of Otostegia limbata. The structure assignments are based on (1)H and (13)C NMR spectra, 2D NMR (HMQC, HMBC, COSY, NOESY and NOE) techniques and comparison with the literature data.     

Generalized holographic dark energy model

In this paper, the model of the holographic Chaplygin gas has been extended to two general cases: first the case of a modified variable Chaplygin gas and second the case of the viscous generalized Chaplygin gas. The dynamics of the model is expressed by the use of scalar fields and scalar potentials.     

Interacting Entropy-Corrected Holographic Chaplygin Gas Model

Holographic dark energy (HDE), presents a dynamical view of dark energy which is consistent with the observational data and has a solid theoretical background. Its definition follows from the entropy-area relation S(A), where S and A are entropy and area respectively. In the framework of loop quantum gravity, a modified definition of HDE called “entropy-corrected holographic dark energy” (ECHDE) has been proposed recently to explain dark energy with the help of quantum corrections to the entropy-area relation. Using this new definition, we establish a correspondence between modified variable Chaplygin gas, new modified Chaplygin gas and the viscous generalized Chaplygin gas with the entropy corrected holographic dark energy and reconstruct the corresponding scalar potentials which describe the dynamics of the scalar field.

Weighted Cebysev-Ostrowski type inequalities

In account of the famous Cebysev inequality, a rich theory has appeared in the literature. We establish some new weighted Cebysev type integral inequalities. Our proofs are of independent interest and provide new estimates on these types of inequalities.     

Isolation,structure elucidation and enzyme inhibition studies of a new hydroxy ester and other compounds from Berberis jaeschkeana Schneid stem

Bioassay-guided isolation and fractionation of Berberis jaeschkeana Schneid var. jaeschkeana stem resulted in the isolation and characterisation of a new long chain hydroxy ester named as berberinol (1) along with six known compounds (2–7). All the structures were established from 1D and 2D spectroscopic data. Crude extract, sub-fractions and all the isolated compounds were evaluated for their anti-fungal and urease enzyme inhibition properties. All of the sub-fractions and compounds showed good anti-fungal and urease enzyme inhibition properties. Minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) were calculated for all active samples in case of urease enzyme inhibition. MICs values were found to be in the range of 39.03–49.78 μg/mL for urease enzyme inhibition.
