Conducting polymer composites of polypyrrole (PPy) and silver doped nickel oxide (Ag-NiO) nanocomposites were synthesised by in situ polymerisation of pyrrole with different contents of Ag-NiO nanoparticles. The formation of nanocomposites were studied by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and UV–vis spectroscopy, field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and AC and DC conductivity measurements. The sensitivity of ammonia gas through the nanocomposite was analysed with respect to different contents of nanoparticles. Spectroscopic studies showed the shift in the absorption bands of polymer nanocomposite than that of pure PPy indicating the strong interaction between the nanoparticles and polymer chain. FESEM revealed the uniform dispersion of nanoparticles with spherically shaped metal oxide particles in PPy matrix. The XRD pattern indicated a decrease in amorphous domain of PPy with increase in loading of nanoparticles. The higher thermal stability and glass transition temperature of polymer nanocomposites than that of pure PPy were revealed from the TGA and DSC respectively. The dielectric properties, DC and AC conductivity of nanocomposites were much higher than PPy and these electrical properties increases with the loading of nanoparticles. The nanocomposites showed an enhancement in sensitivity towards ammonia gas detection than PPy.  相似文献

The present work describes, for the first time, in situ electrochemical preparation of dendrimer-encapsulated Cu nanoparticles using a self-assembled monolayer of fourth-generation amine-terminated polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimer as the template. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) studies of the modified surface confirmed the presence of Cu nanoparticles entrapped in dendrimer film. Au electrode modified with a monolayer of the dendrimer enables preconcentration and subsequent voltammetric detection of Cu2+ at picomolar concentrations. Further, Cu nanoparticles in the dendrimer monolayer could be electrochemically derivatised to Cu hexacyanoferrate, which exhibits specific crystal planes, unlike the random distribution of crystal planes in bulk-formed Cu hexacyanoferrate, which is another catalytically active material for sensor applications. The key structural feature in Boceprevir, Merck's new drug treatment for hepatitis C, is the bicyclic [3.1.0]proline moiety "P2". During the discovery and development stages, the P2 fragment was produced by a classical resolution approach. As the drug candidate advanced through clinical trials and approached regulatory approval and commercialization, Codexis and Schering-Plough (now Merck) jointly developed a chemoenzymatic asymmetric synthesis of P2 where the net reaction was an oxidative Strecker reaction. The key part of this reaction sequence is an enzymatic oxidative desymmetrization of the prochiral amine substrate.  相似文献

Silver nano-colloid was prepared by chemical reduction method and its nonlinear absorption properties were investigated by using open aperture z-scan experiment with nanosecond laser pulses operating at 532?nm. Interestingly, a switch over from saturable absorption to reverse saturable absorption was observed when the input intensity is increased from 28.1 to 175.8?MW/cm2. The underlying mechanism responsible for the observed switching behaviour is the interplay between ground state plasmon band bleaching and excited state absorption. Theoretical fitting was done by using a model in which nonlinear absorption coefficient as well as saturation intensity are incorporated.  相似文献

Benzidine-m. aminophenol system gives a double simple eutectic type phase-diagram showing the formation of a 1:2 addition compound with congruent melting point surrounded by two eutectics on either side. The linear velocity of crystallization data on pure components, eutectics, and addition compound suggest square relationship between growth velocity and undercooling. From the X-ray diffraction studies it can be inferred that the eutectics are not a simple mechanical mixtures of two components. Whereas microstructural investigations suggest faceted growth of the addition compound and a typical characteristic growth of the eutectics, spectral studies indicate the formation of intermolecular hydrogen bonding between two components forming the molecular complex.  相似文献
