Lactones comprise a class of valuable compounds having biological as well as industrial importance. Development of a methodology to synthesize such molecules directly from readily available materials such as aliphatic carboxylic acid is highly desirable. Herein, we have reported synthesis of δ-lactones and ε-lactones via selective γ-C(sp3)–H activation. The γ-C–H bond containing aliphatic carboxylic acids provide six or seven membered lactones depending on the olefin partner in the presence of a palladium catalyst. A mechanistic investigation suggests that C–H activation is the rate-determining step. Further transformations of the lactones have been carried out to showcase the applicability of the present strategy.

Six and seven membered lactones have been synthesized directly from readily available aliphatic acids.  相似文献

The effects of two triazole compounds, triadimefon and hexaconazole, on the growth and carbohydrate metabolism were studied in Solenostemon rotundifolius Poir., Morton plants under pot culture. Plants were treated with triadimefon at 15mg l(-1) and hexaconazole at 10mg l(-1) separately by soil drenching on 80, 110 and 140 days after planting (DAP). The plants were harvested randomly and growth parameters were studied on 90, 120 and 150 DAP for determining the effect of both the triazole on growth and chlorophyll pigments. These triazole compounds increased the chlorophyll pigments. However, both the treatments decreased the fresh and dry weights of shoot and leaf area. Both these triazole resulted in a marginal increase in starch content and decreased the sugar contents. The carbohydrate metabolizing enzymes alpha- and beta-amylase activities were reduced and invertase activity increased in S. rotundifolius under triadimefon and hexaconazole treatments.  相似文献

The human liver cytochromes P450 (CYP P450s) are superfamily of hemoproteins responsible for catalyzing the oxidative metabolism of drugs and xenobiotics entering human body. Drug-drug/xenobiotic interactions are a major cause of therapeutic failures and adverse events. The concomitant administration of inducers with other drugs that are metabolized by CYP450 can result in their altered metabolism in the gastrointestinal tract and/ or liver. The clinical importance of such interactions includes auto induction leading to suboptimal or failed treatment. It is a major concern for the drug companies while developing new drugs. The present understanding of the mechanisms of induction of CYP P450s enzymes and their regulation has made considerable progress during last few years. However there are still gaps in our understanding on molecular aspects of CYP enzymes. Therefore, it remains the subject of intense scientific research to ascertain their in vivo function, and also better understand how the expression of CYP enzymes is regulated at the molecular level. This review analyzes and presents recent findings and concepts on xenosensors and their target genes. Emphasis is given to the molecular mechanisms and signaling pathways of CYP P450 mediated induction by xenobiotics and their potential for drug-drug interactions.  相似文献

Properties of steady state ion sheath formed in front of a negatively biased metal plate under the influence of negative ions have been investigated in collisionless argon/SF6 plasma. This experiment is carried out at a fixed discharge voltage and fixed filament heating power. In this experiment, the decrement in plasma pre-sheath potential drop as well as positive ion drift velocity toward the plate is experimentally recorded in the presence of negative ions. It is also found that the plasma positive ion density and plasma electron temperature decrease in the presence of negative ions. These factors attribute to the decrease of ion current toward the plate. Hence the usual ion sheath expands. meso-Tetra (2′- and 3′-thienyl)porphyrins and their Zn(II)-complexes were examined by steady-state fluorescence measurements. These molecules exhibit significant bathochromic shift in their emission bands with decreased quantum yields relative to their correspondingmeso-tetraphenylporphyrin derivatives. The crystal structure of 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(3′-thienyl)porphinato zinc(II) shows planar and nonplanar stereochemical features of the macrocycle. One of the macrocycle shows nearly planar while the other exhibited predominantly saddle-shaped geometry. The extent of displacement of the Β-pyrrole carbons in the nonplanar (saddle) conformation is as high as ± 0·422 ?.  相似文献

We consider the problem of designing single and the double sampling plans for monitoring dependent production processes. Based on simulated samples from the process, Nelson proposed a new approach of estimating the characteristics of single sampling plans and, using these estimates, designing optimal plans. In this paper, we extend his approach to the design of optimal double sampling plans. We first propose a simple methodology for obtaining the unbiased estimators of various characteristics of single and double sampling plans. This is achieved by defining the various characteristics of sampling plans as explicit random variables. Some of the important properties of the double sampling plans are established. Using these results, an efficient algorithm is developed to obtain optimal double sampling plans. A comparison with a crude search shows that our algorithm leads to about 90% savings, on the average, in computational timings. The procedure is also explained through a suitable example for the ARMA(1,1) model. It is observed, for instance, that an optimal double sampling plan leads to about 23% reduction in average sample number, compared to an optimal single sampling plan. Tables for choosing the optimal plans for certain auto regressive moving average processes at some practically useful values of acceptable quality level and rejectable quality level are also presented.  相似文献
