We present a new method using Dalitz plots and Bose symmetry of pions that allows the complete determination of the magnitudes and phases of weak decay amplitudes. We apply the method to processes such as B→K*π, with the subsequent decay of K*→Kπ. Our approach enables the additional measurement of an isospin amplitude without any theoretical assumption. This advance will help in measuring the weak phase and probing for new physics beyond the standard model with fewer assumptions.  相似文献

Poly (3-methyl thiophene) thin films were prepared by chemical bath deposition technique on glass substrate; the prepared thin films were characterized for structural, morphological and optical properties. The variation in the oxidant concentration has an influence on the properties of the P3MeT thin films. The increase in the oxidant concentration leads to increase in the thickness of the film. The binding energy increases due to increase in oxidation concentration. The P3MeT thin films show smooth surface morphology with increase in oxidant concentration whereas the contact angle of the thin film decreases with increase in oxidant concentration. The optical absorbance of these thin films was found to increase with decrease in the optical band gap due to increase in oxidant concentration.  相似文献

Just over a million people died globally in 2019 due to antibiotic resistance caused by ESKAPE pathogens (Enterococcus faecium, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Enterobacter species). The World Health Organization (WHO) also lists antibiotic-resistant Campylobacter and Helicobacter as bacteria that pose the greatest threat to human health. As it is becoming increasingly difficult to discover new antibiotics, new alternatives are needed to solve the crisis of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Bacteria commonly found in complex communities enclosed within self-produced matrices called biofilms are difficult to eradicate and develop increased stress and antimicrobial tolerance. This review summarises the role of antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) in combating the silent pandemic of AMR and their application in clinical medicine, focusing on both the advantages and disadvantages of AMPs as antibiofilm agents. It is known that many AMPs display broad-spectrum antimicrobial activities, but in a variety of organisms AMPs are not stable (short half-life) or have some toxic side effects. Hence, it is also important to develop new AMP analogues for their potential use as drug candidates. The use of one health approach along with developing novel therapies using phages and breakthroughs in novel antimicrobial peptide synthesis can help us in tackling the problem of AMR.  相似文献

Selectivity of aryl iodo over ethynyl iodo toward the Suzuki cross coupling reaction is explored by utilizing a palladium complex of amino-ether heteroditopic macrobicycle. Subsequently, unreacted ethynyl iodide undergoes homocoupling reaction in the same catalytic atmosphere, thereby representing a cascade dual C−C coupling reaction. We argue that the idea that the dynamics of a gauge theory simplifies in the limit N → ∞, where N is the number of colors, can be invoked even if the gauge group is an exceptional Lie group, rather than one of the classical groups. We also point out that quantum tunneling phenomena can in some cases survive in the N → ∞ limit, contrary to the usual claim that the N → ∞ limit is “classical.”  相似文献

Resin immobilized stable, spherical CuO nanoparticles prepared in the presence of cyclodextrin (CD) act as catalysts for liquid phase alcohol oxidation in air. The catalytic activity of the CuO nanocomposites and its green chemistry approach make it superior to the related resin-bound Cu(0) nanocomposite. The effect of alcohol chain length and electron-donating or -withdrawing groups influence product yield. The nanocomposites exhibit good reusability, simple workup procedure, and a straightforward approach to aldehyde formation.  相似文献

Over the past few years, the development of efficient methods to construct high-valued N-heterocyclic molecules have received massive attention owing to their extensive application in the areas of medicinal chemistry, drug discovery, natural product synthesis and so on. To access those high-valued N-heterocycles, many methods have been developed. In this context, transition-metal-catalyzed denitrogenative annulation of 1,2,3-triazoles and 1,2,3,4-tetrazoles has appeared as a powerful synthetic tool because it offers a step- and atom-economical route for the preparation of the nitrogen-rich molecules. Compared with the denitrogenative annulation of various 1,2,3-triazole frameworks, annulation of 1,2,3,4-tetrazole remains more challenging due to the inertness of the tetrazole moiety. This Review summarizes the significant achievements made in the field of denitrogenative annulation of various 1,2,3-triazoles and 1,2,3,4-tetrazoles including some pioneering examples in this area of research. We anticipate that this denitrogenative annulation reaction will find broad applications in the pharmaceutical industry, drug discovery and other fields of medicinal chemistry.  相似文献

New homologous series of coumarin Schiff base derived from 6-aminocoumarin and their zinc(II) complexes have been synthesised. The spectroscopic characterisations, photophysical properties, phase transition temperature, characterisation of phase and gelation behaviour are reported. The ligand is non-mesogenic at lower 4-n-alkoxy chain length (n = 4) and mesogenic for longer chains (n > 4). For small chains (n = 5, 7, 8), ligand displays monotropic nematic or nematic-smectic A phase sequences, whereas longer homologues (n = 12, 14, 16 and 18) display only enantiotropic smectic A phase. The ligands and their Zn(II) complexes are fluorescent in nature. Interestingly, ligands exhibit gelation property only in polar solvents, whereas Zn(II) complexes discourage gelation. The effect of 4-n-alkoxy chain length on the gelation properties was also discussed. Density functional theory calculations show broad agreement with observed molecular conformation, dipole moment, molecular orbitals and polarisability of the coumarin Schiff base molecules and their Zn(II) complexes.  相似文献
