Micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography (MEKC) was performed at 25 °C and 30 kV (under a pressure of 15 mbar), using 30 mM borate buffer containing 60 mM sodium dodecysulfate (SDS) and 5% (v/v) methanol as background electrolyte (pH 9.0) to determine doxycycline. UV detection was at 350 nm. The method was shown to be specific, accurate (recovery was 100.3 ± 1.0%), linear over the tested range (correlation coefficient 0.9995) and precise (RSD <1.9%). The method was used to determine doxycycline in tablets, capsules and human urine after oral application.  相似文献

We report the study of optical textures and director configurations within nematic-in-water microdroplets of the liquid-crystalline mixtures based on azoxybenzene and cyanobiphenyl (as a polar dopant). Both pure azoxybenzene and polar dopant materials exhibited bipolar configuration within liquid-crystalline droplets, whereas their mixtures at appropriate concentrations spontaneously formed radial droplets. It was found that increasing of the dopant’s concentration resulted in the forward tangential-homeotropic and reentrant homeotropic-tangential anchoring transitions. We also triggered bipolar-to-radial structural transition by UV irradiation providing trans-cis isomerisation of nematogens. Critical irradiation time needed for radial configuration formation was found to decrease with concentration of polar dopant. Mesoscoping modelling is proposed to explain main experimental results. The presented data are discussed for chemical and biological sensing applications.  相似文献

Carr-Purcell-Meiboom-Gill (CPMG) train of radiofrequency pulses applied to spins in the constant magnetic field gradient is an efficient variant of the modulated magnetic field gradient spin echo method, which provides information about molecular diffusion in the frequency domain instead of in the time domain as with the two-pulse gradient spin echo. The frequency range of this novel technique is broad enough to sample the power spectrum of displacement fluctuation in water-saturated pulverized silica (SiO2) and provides comprehensive information about the molecular restricted motion as well as about the structure of the medium.  相似文献

When considering f elements, solvent extraction is primarily used for the removal of lanthanides from ore and their recycling, as well as for the separation of actinides from used nuclear fuel. Understanding the complexation mechanism of metal ions with organic extractants, particularly the influence of their molecular structure on complex formation is of fundamental importance. Herein, we report an extraordinary (up to two orders of magnitude) change in the extraction efficiency of f elements with two diastereomers of dimethyl tetraoctyl diglycolamide (Me2-TODGA), which only differ in the orientation of a single methyl group. Solvent extraction techniques, extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) measurements, and density functional theory (DFT) based ab initio calculations were used to understand their complex structures and to explain their complexation mechanism. We show that the huge differences observed in extraction selectivity results from a small change in the complexation of nitrate counter-ions caused by the different orientation of one methyl group in the backbone of the extractant. The obtained results give a significant new insight into metal–ligand complexation mechanisms, which will promote the development of more efficient separation techniques.  相似文献

Spectral ripple discrimination thresholds were measured in 15 cochlear-implant users with broadband (350-5600 Hz) and octave-band noise stimuli. The results were compared with spatial tuning curve (STC) bandwidths previously obtained from the same subjects. Spatial tuning curve bandwidths did not correlate significantly with broadband spectral ripple discrimination thresholds but did correlate significantly with ripple discrimination thresholds when the rippled noise was confined to an octave-wide passband, centered on the STC's probe electrode frequency allocation. Ripple discrimination thresholds were also measured for octave-band stimuli in four contiguous octaves, with center frequencies from 500 Hz to 4000 Hz. Substantial variations in thresholds with center frequency were found in individuals, but no general trends of increasing or decreasing resolution from apex to base were observed in the pooled data. Neither ripple nor STC measures correlated consistently with speech measures in noise and quiet in the sample of subjects in this study. Overall, the results suggest that spectral ripple discrimination measures provide a reasonable measure of spectral resolution that correlates well with more direct, but more time-consuming, measures of spectral resolution, but that such measures do not always provide a clear and robust predictor of performance in speech perception tasks.  相似文献

Xanthohumol (XN) is a prenylated chalcone with antimutagenic and anticancer activity from hops. A nonaqueous reverse polarity capillary electrophoretic method for the determination of XN in hop extract was developed and validated. The optimal parameters were a 64.5 cm long fused-silica capillary with 50 microm id at 25 degrees C; 30 kV negative voltage (anode at detector side of the capillary); nonaqueous buffer with 75 mM NaOH and 50 mM boric acid in methanol; hydrodynamical injection with 10 mbar for 40 s; and detection at 440 nm. XN, isoxanthohumol (IX), colupulone, adlupulone, and n-lupulone were well resolved on the electropherogram. The LOD for XN was 0.05 mg/L and RSD for peak area was below 3%. The amount of XN in different samples of hop pellets varied from 0.14 to 0.42%.  相似文献
