This paper presents a novel approach for the automatic localization of pupil and iris. Pupil and iris are nearly circular regions, which are surrounded by sclera, eyelids and eyelashes. The localization of both pupil and iris is extremely important in any iris recognition system. In the proposed algorithm pupil is localized using Eccentricity based Bisection method which looks for the region that has the highest probability of having pupil. While iris localization is carried out in two steps. In the first step, iris image is directionally segmented and a noise free region (region of interest) is extracted. In the second step, angular lines in the region of interest are extracted and the edge points of iris outer boundary are found through the gradient of these lines. The proposed method is tested on CASIA ver 1.0 and MMU Iris databases. Experimental results show that this method is comparatively accurate.  相似文献

This paper reports on etching rates and hole quality for nanosecond laser percussion drilling of 200-μm thick 316L stainless steel performed with micro supersonic gas jets. The assist-gas jets were produced using nozzles of 200, 300 and 500 μm nominal throat diameters. Air and oxygen were used separately for the process gas in the drilling trials and the drilling performance was compared to drilling in ambient conditions. The highest etch rate of 1.2 μm per pulse was obtained in the ambient atmosphere condition, but this was reduced by about 50% with assist-air jets from the 200 μm nozzle. Increasing the jet diameter and/or using oxygen assist gas also decreased the etching rate and increased the hole diameter. The 200 μm nozzle using air-assist jets produced the least amount of recast and gave the best compromise for etching rate. A combination of plasma shielding and different gas dynamic conditions inside the holes and at the surface are correlated to the observations of different drilling rates and hole characteristics.  相似文献

In this paper, we explored the conservation laws of cylindrically symmetric non-static space–times by using direct integration technique. This classification also covers non-static plane symmetric space–times, static cylindrically symmetric space–times and plane symmetric static space–times. In this paper, we will only present the results of non-static cylindrically symmetric and non-static plane symmetric space–times. The results of static cylindrically symmetric space–times and plane static space–times can be found in Shabbir and Khan (Mod Phys Lett A 25:525, 2010). It turns out that the non-static cylindrically symmetric space–times admit four, five, or seven conservation laws. It is important to note that the above space–times admit at least one or at the most four extra conservation laws.  相似文献

This paper addresses the dynamics of COVID-19 using the approach of age-structured modeling. A particular case of the model is presented by taking into account age-free parameters. The sub-model consisting of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) is investigated for possible equilibria, and qualitative aspects of the model are rigorously presented. In order to control the spread of the disease, we considered two age- and time-dependent non-pharmaceutical control measures in the age-structured model, and an optimal control problem using a general maximum principle of Pontryagin type is achieved. Finally, sample simulations are plotted which support our theoretical work.  相似文献

The extreme ultraviolet spectra of Cu and Zn are analyzed. New classifications in the wavelength region below 55 Å are tabulated. The spectra were excited by focussing high power laser radiation on plane targets in a vacuum. The spectral lines reported here correspond mainly to the transitions between levels of principal quantum number 3 and 4 in Cu XVI to XIX and Zn XVII to XX. The identifications are based on extrapolations of published data for isoelectronic ions.  相似文献

Nuclear spectroscopy studies of 51 133 Sb82 have been performed at the recoil fission product separators JOSEF and LOHENGRIN. A tentative level scheme has been established for this nucleus with one proton in addition to the doubly closed shell core132Sn. Two isomeric states with half-lives of 3 and 16 μs have been found at excitation energies of >4300 keV and 4526 keV, respectively. Lower limits of 15/2 are deduced for the spins of these levels. The h11/2 proton state is suggested at 2792 keV in agreement with the systematics of the lighter Z=51 isotopes and the heavier N=82 isotones. Several states have been observed between 4300 and 4600 keV which are probably due to the coupling of the single proton to core-excited states which have energies between 4000 and 4800 keV.  相似文献

This work is devoted to the approximation of variational inequalities with pseudo-monotone operators. A variational inequality, considered in an arbitrary real Banach space, is first embedded into a reflexive Banach space by means of linear continuous mappings. Then a strongly convergent approximation procedure is designed by regularizing the embedded variational inequality. Some special cases have also been discussed.

A variational analysis of the spiked harmonic oscillator Hamiltonian –d 2/dr2 +r 2 +/r 5/2,>0, is reported. A trial function automatically satisfying both the Dirichlet boundary condition at the origin and the boundary condition at infinity is introduced. The results are excellent for a very large range of values of the coupling parameter, suggesting that the present variational function is appropriate for the treatment of the spiked oscillator in all its regimes (strong, moderate, and weak interactions).  相似文献
