At the China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS), we have developed a custom gas-filling station, a glassblowing workshop, and a spin-exchange optical pumping(SEOP) system for producing high-quality ~3He-based neutron spin filter(NSF) cells. The gas-filling station is capable of routinely filling ~3He cells made from GE180 glass of various dimensions, to be used as neutron polarizers and analyzers on beamlines at the CSNS. Performance tests on cells fabricated at our gas-filling station are conducted via neutron transmission and nuclear-magneticresonance measurements, revealing nominal filling pressures, and a saturated ~3He polarization in the region of 80%, with a lifetime of approximately 240 hours. These results demonstrate our ability to produce competitive NSF cells to meet the ever-increasing research needs of the polarized neutron research community. 相似文献

Power law fluctuations and scale-free spatial patterns are known to characterize steady state plastic flow in crystalline materials. In this Letter we study the emergence of correlations in a simple Frenkel-Kontorova-type model of 2D plasticity which is largely free of arbitrariness, amenable to analytical study, and is capable of generating critical exponents matching experiments. Our main observation concerns the possibility to reduce continuum plasticity to an integer-valued automaton revealing inherent discreteness of the plastic flow. 相似文献

We continuously measure the state of a superconducting quantum bit coupled to a microwave readout cavity by using a fast, ultralow-noise parametric amplifier. An analysis of the semiclassical regime of the quantum-classical transition is given for open, bounded, one-dimensional chaotic dynamical systems. Environmental fluctuations-characteristic of all realistic dynamical systems-suppress the development of a fine structure in classical phase space and damp nonlocal contributions to the semiclassical Wigner function, which would otherwise invalidate the approximation. This dual regularization of the singular nature of the semiclassical limit is demonstrated by a numerical investigation of the chaotic Duffing oscillator. 相似文献

In this the window of the Sobolev gradient technique to the problem of minimizing a Schrödinger functional associated with a nonlinear Schrödinger equation. Laser welding of zinc-coated steel sheets in lap configuration poses a challenging problem, because of the zinc vapours spoiling the quality of the weld. In continuation to the earlier work, the novel solution of dual laser beam method for lap welding of galvanized steel sheets is discussed here in view of the recently obtained observations and ensuing concerns. In this method the precursor beam cuts a slot, thus making an exit path for the zinc vapours, while the second beam performs the needed welding. The metallurgical analysis of the welds is encouraging showing absence of zinc in the welded area. In the current work on this technique, new experimental results have been obtained verifying the earlier observations. Along with this, the possibility of using a transversely split-up beam for the welding purposes with this approach is discussed and analyzed in this paper. This new technique is expected to be very useful in prospective industrial applications requiring higher welding throughput along with the needed quality. 相似文献

The attack by formic acid on the nitrogen electron pairs of N,N,N,N-tetramethylethylenediamine leads to the stoichiometric salt or to many other complexes with different molar fractions. Physical and thermodynamic parameters of two adducts, obtained by calorimetric study, are discussed in terms of their use as potential phase change materials in thermal energy storage because of their large heat of fusion between 288 and 333 K.
