Enantiomers of bulky percyclohexylmethyl-substituted pillar[5]arene (Cy-C1-Pillar) were able to be separated by chiral column chromatography, and the separated enantiomers did not racemize. This paper describes the details of our synthetic studies on the marine steroidal alkaloids cortistatins A and J. Right on Q: The first asymmetric total synthesis of (-)-huperzine-Q, which possesses six stereogenic centers and a spiroaminal moiety, has been achieved in 19 steps and 16.4?% overall yield. The antioxidant activities of flavonoids and their glycosides were measured with the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical (DPPH radical, DPPH(·)) scavenging method. The results show that free hydroxyl flavonoids are not necessarily more active than O-glycoside. Quercetin and kaempferol showed higher activity than apigenin. The C- and O-glycosides of flavonoids generally showed higher radical scavenging activity than aglycones; however, kaempferol C3-O-glycoside (astragalin) showed higher activity than kaempferol. In the radical scavenging activity of flavonoids, it was expected that OH substitutions at C3 and C5 and catechol substitution at C2 of B ring and intramolecular hydrogen bonding between OH at C5 and ketone at C3 would increase the activity; however, the reasons have yet to be clarified. We here show that the radical scavenging activities of flavonoids are controlled by their absolute hardness (η) and absolute electronegativity (χ) as a electronic state. Kaempferol and quercetin provide high radical scavenging activity since (i) OH substitutions at C3 and C5 strikingly decrease η of flavones, (ii) OH substitutions at C3 and C7 decrease χ and η of flavones, and (iii) phenol or o-catechol substitution at C2 of B ring decrease χ of flavones. The coordinate r(χ,?η) as the electron state must be small to increase the radical scavenging activity of flavonoids. The results show that chemically soft kaempferol and quercetin have higher DPPH radical scavenging activity than chemically hard genistein and daidzein.  相似文献

Phase waves rotating in a ring of unidirectionally coupled parametric oscillators are studied. The system has a pair of spatially uniform stable periodic solutions with a phase difference and an unstable quasiperiodic traveling phase wave solution. They are generated from the origin through a period doubling bifurcation and the Neimark?CSacker bifurcation, respectively. In transient states, phase waves rotating in a ring are generated, the duration of which increases exponentially with the number of oscillators (exponential transients). A power law distribution of the duration of randomly generated phase waves and the noise-sustained propagation of phase waves are also shown. These properties of transient phase waves are well described with a kinematical equation for the propagation of wave fronts. Further, the traveling phase wave is stabilized through a pitchfork bifurcation and changes into a standing wave through pinning. These bifurcations and exponential transient rotating waves are also shown in an autonomous system with averaging and a coupled map model, and they agree with each other.  相似文献

Lindera umbellata (Lu) essential oil primarily contains linalool and has relaxation properties. We investigated the psychological and antibacterial effects of footbath with Lu essential oil. The participants included 20 women without medical history and received two intervention plans: footbath without any essential oil and footbath using Lu essential oil. Next, questionnaires regarding impressions and mood states were provided for them to answer. In addition, their autonomic nervous system activity was measured, and the aerobic viable of count on the feet was determined. The high-frequency value reflecting the parasympathetic nervous system activity significantly increased after footbath using Lu essential oil. In the questionnaire about the mood states, the subscale scores of tension–anxiety, depression, fatigue, and confusion after intervention were lower than those before intervention regardless of the use of the essential oil. Conversely, the anger–hostility score decreased only in the group using Lu essential oil. Furthermore, the decrease in aerobic viable count after intervention was not significantly different between the two groups. Footbath using Lu essential oil increased the parasympathetic nervous system activity and relieved anger. Taken together, we suggest that footbath using Lu essential oil has a relaxation effect.  相似文献

Complex applications in fluid dynamics research often require more highly resolved velocity data than direct measurements or simulations provide. The advent of stereo PIV and PCMR techniques has advanced the state-of-the-art in flow velocity measurement, but 3D spatial resolution remains limited. Here a new technique is proposed for velocity data interpolation to address this problem. The new method performs with higher quality than competing solutions from the literature in terms of accurately interpolating velocities, maintaining fluid structure and domain boundaries, and preserving coherent structures.  相似文献
