In this paper, we present a method of incorporating various types of noise in circuit simulation of a microbolometer infrared detector to analyze the effect of noise on its performance. This ability of simulating electro-thermal performance of microbolometers in circuit simulation platform along with their noise performance allows designing of its suitable readout integrated circuit (ROIC). Being an electro-thermal device, a microbolometer has both the electrical and thermal components interacting with each other. Therefore, the noise sources existing in standard circuit simulators cannot predict the noise of a microbolometer correctly. Disturbances coming from the background radiation, device temperature fluctuations, flicker noise and the Johnson noise etc. contribute in the total noise of a microbolometer element. All these components of noise can be incorporated using the proposed simulation technique. The technique also allows modifying the frequency response of the noise in simulations as per the user defined noise spectrum, making it suitable for any type of microbolometer.  相似文献

The characterization of chaotic spatiotemporal dynamics has been studied for a representative nonlinear autocatalytic reaction mechanism coupled with diffusion. This has been carried out by an analysis of the Lyapunov spectrum in spatiallylocalised regions. The linear scaling relationships observed in the invariant measures as a function of thesub-system size have been utilized to assess the controllability, stability and synchronization properties of the chaotic dynamics. The dynamical synchronization properties of this high-dimensional system has been analyzed using suitable Lyapunov functionals. The possibility of controlling spatiotemporal chaos for relevant objectives using available noisy scalar time-series data with simultaneous self-adaptation of the control parameter(s) has also been discussed.  相似文献

We study the dynamics of phase ordering in the presence of an external gravitational field, namely a field that varies linearly with distance in one direction. Starting from microscopic considerations, we motivate reasonable phenomenological models for cases with nonconserved and conserved order parameter. Recently we obtained bounds on the magnetic moment of theW boson from preliminary results from the collider detector at Fermilab. These results were based on 4.3 pb–1 of data, from which threeW events and three radiativeW decays were found. Within the next 2 years they expect to have almost 100 pb–1 of data. In this paper we consider the bounds one will be able to obtain from these data, under two scenarios: (1) The expected Standard Model (SM) results are obtained. (2) The relative number of events observed is the same as in the previous run. We estimate that one will be able to obtain a 95% C.L. bound for k, perhaps as good as –1.9 k 4.2. These bounds would come from the total number of events. When the number of events increases sufficiently, one will be able to obtain an angular distribution forW and an energy distribution for radiativeW decay. Then one could observe the radiation amplitude zero and obtain a precise value for k.  相似文献
