Radiative heat transfer in the steady two-dimensional flow of Walters' B fluid with a non-uniform heat source/sink is investigated. An incompressible fluid is bounded by a stretching porous surface. The convective boundary condition is used for the thermal boundary layer problem. The relevant equations are first simplified under usual boundary layer assumptions and then transformed into a similar form by suitable transformations. Explicit series solutions of velocity and temperature are derived by the homotopy analysis method(HAM). The dimensionless velocity and temperature gradients at the wall are calculated and discussed. 相似文献

Plants respond to stress in part by modulating gene expression either constitutively or in an inducible manner which ultimately leads to the restoration of cellular homeostasis, detoxification of toxins, and recovery of growth. Upon introduction to various elicitors such as pathogen-associated molecular patterns, a massive reprogramming of plant gene expression is initiated. Differential display PCR offers rapid and multiple comparisons of gene expression to various stress durations and intensities. Nigella sativa has acclaimed many medicinal properties in traditional medicine. To explore the underlying molecular mechanisms in response to stress in the plants, Fusarium solani (a fungus) stress was induced at different time intervals ranging from 0 to 48 h. RNA was subjected to complementary DNA (cDNA) synthesis followed by PCR using different sets of anchored primers and arbitrary primers. The expression was visualized after silver staining on urea-PAGE. Out of the 23 upregulated re-amplified cDNA products, ten differential fragments showed significant homologies with domains related to cellular metabolism, signal transduction, and disease resistance. Such genes could be an informative source for developing genetically improved breeds under infectious stress. 相似文献

Over the last few years, one of the most important and complex problems facing our society is treating infectious diseases caused by multidrug‐resistant bacteria (MDRB), by using current market‐existing antibiotics. Driven by this need, we report for the first time the development of the multifunctional popcorn‐shaped iron magnetic core–gold plasmonic shell nanotechnology‐driven approach for targeted magnetic separation and enrichment, label‐free surface‐enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) detection, and the selective photothermal destruction of MDR Salmonella DT104. Due to the presence of the “lightning‐rod effect”, the core–shell popcorn‐shaped gold‐nanoparticle tips provided a huge field of SERS enhancement. The experimental data show that the M3038 antibody‐conjugated nanoparticles can be used for targeted separation and SERS imaging of MDR Salmonella DT104. A targeted photothermal‐lysis experiment, by using 670 nm light at 1.5 W cm?2 for 10 min, results in selective and irreparable cellular‐damage to MDR Salmonella. We discuss the possible mechanism and operating principle for the targeted separation, label‐free SERS imaging, and photothermal destruction of MDRB by using the popcorn‐shaped magnetic/plasmonic nanotechnology. 相似文献

This paper contains the study of spherically symmetric perfect fluid collapse in the frame work of f(R, T) modified theory of gravity. We proceed our work by considering the non-static spherically symmetric background in the interior and static spherically symmetric background in the exterior regions of the star. The junction conditions between exterior and interior regions are presented by matching the exterior and interior regions. The field equations are solved by taking the assumptions that the Ricci scalar as well as the trace of energy-momentum tensor are to be constant, for a particular f(R, T) model. By inserting the solution of the field equations in junction conditions, we evaluate the gravitational mass of the collapsing system. Also, we discuss the apparent horizons and their time formation for different possible cases. It is concluded that the term f(R 0, T 0) behaves as a source of repulsive force and that’s why it slowdowns the collapse of the matter. 相似文献

Analysis of volatile compounds and gases emitted as smoke at the welding interface during rotational wood dowel welding of a hardwood (beech) and of a softwood (Norway spruce) has shown that the compounds in such a smoke are water vapour, CO2, degradation compounds from wood polymeric carbohydrates and from amorphous lignin, as well as some volatile terpenes, these latter only for the softwood used, Norway spruce. The main carbohydrates contributing to the volatile compounds are xylans for beech and glucomannans for spruce. Numerous compounds, in very small proportions derived from the degradation and rearrangement reactions of lignin, have also been identified. The proportion of CO2 emitted is very low, and neither CO nor methane is emitted due to the relatively low temperature of dowel welding. Experiments at temperature slightly higher than that of dowel welding but prolonged in time have shown that the main component of the smoke produced during welding appears to be water vapour. 相似文献

The reaction of alkyl isocyanides with various aldehydes and 3-hydroxy-1 H-phenalene-1-one is described.
