We report a detailed study of the phonon properties of hexagonal boron nitride (BN) monolayers as well as nanotubes by using De Launay type of angular force model. The force constants used for calculation of phonon dispersion relations of the nanotube are derived from those for the monolayers of hexagonal by employing force constant method. These force constants have been modified to include the effect of curvature of the tubule. The results are then used to derive the phonon dispersion relations for (10,10) BN nanotubes using ‘zone-folding’ method. Calculated phonon modes are in good agreement with the experimental values obtained so far, for (10,10) armchair BN nanotubes.  相似文献

Due to the generation of magnetostatic and spin waves, switching phenomena of ferrite substrate with a normal magnetic biasing field is presented. Generally below the X-band of microwave range, the Pozar’s quasi TEM waves (extraordinary waves) were studied, but for the study of X-band there should be an inclusion of spin wave exchange term (ωr) in the magnetostatic wave analysis which depends upon the static internal field (Hex). This term is included in analysis because the wavelength of microwave approach is the inter-atomic distance of ferrite material. In this work we synthesize LiTi ferrite through Solid State Reaction Technique (SSRT) and obtained electric and magnetic properties for the analysis. Absorbing and transmission power coefficients have been calculated to obtain the power loss and transmitted power through the substrate, respectively. The absorbing power coefficient verifies the switching behavior of substrate for certain range of applied external magnetic field (H o) which depends on the resonance line width parameter (ΔH) of ferrite material.  相似文献

Se58Ge42−x Pb x (9≤x≤20) glasses have been prepared using conventional melt quenching technique. Differential Scanning Calorimetric (DSC) measurements show single glass transition and double crystallization, which indicate the occurrence of phase separation in the samples. The phases present in the samples were identified using XRD. The kinetics of the glass transition has been studied in terms of the variation of glass transition temperature with composition and heating rate. In addition to this, activation energy of the glass transition (E t ) has also been evaluated and its composition dependence is also investigated. The thermal stability of these glasses has been investigated using various stability criteria: Deiztal first glass criterion, ΔT, Saad and Poulain weighted thermal stability, H′ and the S-parameter. The values of these parameters were obtained using various characteristic temperatures such as the glass transition temperature, T g , the onset temperature of crystallization, T c , and the peak crystallization temperature, T p . The values of stability parameters show that the phase corresponding to second crystallization is more stable than the phase corresponding to first one. The stability in terms of the lead (Pb) content has been determined considering the values of stability parameters of the phase corresponding to second peak. It was found that the stability increases with the lead content.  相似文献

An experiment has been carried out at a vertical depth of 580 m.w.e. at Kolar Gold Fields, to investigate various characteristics of energetic muons (E mln ⋍ 150 GeV) associated with extensive air showers (EAS). Double parallel penetrating particles with narrow separations (<1m) have an exponential decoherence distribution withe-folding separation of ⋍ 25 cm.  相似文献

Six new substituted diphenyltin(IV) O,O′-alkylene dithiophosphates, (C6H5)2Sn(X)S(S) POGO [G = —CH2C(CH3)2CH2—, X = Cl (1), SCN (3), ClO4 (5); G = —CH2C (C4H9)(C2H5)CH2—, X = Cl (2), SCN (4), ClO4 (6)], were synthesized by the reaction of the corresponding ammonium salts of the O,O’-alkylene dithiophosphates with an appropriate organotin(IV) chloride. The compounds were characterized on the basis of elemental and spectral analyses (ESI mass spectrometry, IR, 1H, 13C, 31P, and 119Sn NMR). The presence of a four-coordinated Sn atom and monodentate O,O’-alkylene dithiophosphate moiety in compounds 1–4 as well as bidentate O,O’-alkylene dithiophosphate unit in compounds 5,6 is established.  相似文献

Fluorescent nucleosides and oligonucleotides functionalized with pyrene were synthesized using ‘click’ chemistry or the Sonogashira cross-coupling reaction. The dye was connected to position-7 of 7-deaza-2′-deoxyguanosine or to the 2′-deoxyribofuranose moiety. Four different DNA-dye connectors with 1,2,3-triazolyl residues or triple bonds were constructed. Phosphoramidites of the pyrene conjugates (9, 14, 25) were prepared and used in solid-phase synthesis. Short linkers (2, 4) destabilize DNA, while long linkers (1) increased duplex stability. Nucleosides and oligonucleotides with single dye incorporations show linker dependent fluorescence. Linker dependent excimer emission with pyrenes in proximal positions was also observed. A ‘superchromophore’ formed by the 7-deaza-2′-deoxyguanosine ethynylpyrene conjugate shows strong red shifted fluorescence emission at 495 nm.  相似文献

Response surface methodology (RSM) was employed for optimization of medium components and cultural parameters in cost effective cane molasses based medium for attaining high yield of succinic acid. The important factors obtained by “one-variable-at-a-time-approach” (cane molasses, corn steep liquor, sodium carbonate, and inoculum density) were further optimized by RSM. The optimum values of the parameters obtained through RSM (cane molasses 12.5%, corn steep liquor 7.5%, and sodium carbonate 25 mM) led to almost double yield of succinic acid (15.2 g/l in 36 h) as against “one-variable-at-a-time-approach” (7.1 g/l in 36 h) in 500-ml anaerobic bottles containing 300-ml cane molasses based medium. Subsequently, in 10-l bioreactor succinic acid production from Escherichia coli was further improved to 26.2 g/l in 30 h under conditions optimized through RSM. This fermentation-derived succinic acid will definitely help in replacing existing environmentally hazardous and cost-intensive chemical methods for the production of succinic acid.  相似文献
