Size-dependent tunneling and optical spectroscopy of CdSe quantum rods   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Photoluminescence excitation spectroscopy and scanning-tunneling spectroscopy are used to study the electronic states in CdSe quantum rods that manifest a transition from a zero-dimensional to a one-dimensional quantum-confined structure. Both optical and tunneling spectra show that the level structure depends primarily on the diameter of the rod and not its length. With increasing diameter, the band gap and the excited state level spacings shift to the red. The level structure was assigned using a multiband effective-mass model, showing a similar dependence on rod dimensions.  相似文献

Fourteen commercial polyols have been characterized by GPC, NMR spectroscopy, and elemental analysis. From these, eight corresponding tosylates, six nitrate esters, seven mesylates, 13 alkynes, and 14 azides have been prepared and all these derivatives have been fully characterized. Five alkyne monomers and eight azide monomers were also prepared. Twelve alkynes and 13 azides (functionality 2–4) were combined in 1,3‐dipolar cycloaddition reactions under neat conditions to prepare triazole‐cured polymers, avoiding any heavy metal catalyst. Characterization by NMR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and gel permeation chromatography indicated triazole polymers 14 , 22 , 23 , 28 , and 30 with degrees of polymerization of 17–28 to be the best candidates for future work. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The hydrothermal reaction of a mixture of V2O5, VCl3, 2,5-pyridinedicarboxylic acid and diluted H2SO4 for 68 h at 180°C gives a blue colored solution which yields prismatic blue crystals of IV 2 IV O2(SO4)2(H2O)6] (1) in 32% yield (based on V). Complex 1 was investigated by means of elemental analysis (C, H and S), TGA, FT-IR, manganometric titration, Single Crystal X-ray Diffraction Methods and also comparative antimicrobial activities. Crystal data for the compound: monoclinic space group P21/c and unit cell parameters are a = 7.3850(12) Å, b = 7.3990(7) Å, c = 12.229(2) Å, β = 108.976(12)° and Z = 2. Although structure of 1 as a natural mineral has been previously determined, this work covers new preparation method and full characterization of 1 along with comparison of antibacterial activity between 1 and the commercial vanadium(IV) oxide sulfate hydrate compounds, VOSO4 · xH2O (Riedel-de Haën and Alfa Aesar brand names). 1 was evaluated for the antimicrobial activity against gram-positive, gram-negative bacteria, yeasts and mould compared with the commercial VOSO4 · xH2O compounds. 1 showed weak activity against bacteria Bacillus cereus, Nocardia asteroides and yeast Candida albicans. A good antimicrobial activity was recorded against Cirtobacter freundii (15 mm). There are only a few reproducible well-defined vanadium(IV) starting materials to use for exploring the synthesis of new materials. VCl4, VO(acac)2, VOSO4 · xH2O and [V(IV)OSO4(H2O)4] · SO4 · [H2N(C2H4)2NH2] are common starting materials for such applications. In addition to these compounds, 1 can be used as an oxovanadium precursor.  相似文献

Access to N-protected or N-free imidazo[1,2-a]pyrrolo[3,2-c]pyridine derivatives as potential antiviral compounds was achieved in good yields from N-protected 7-amino-8-halo-2-methylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridines by catalytic coupling of terminal acetylenes under mild conditions using [PdCl2(PPh3)2] or [Cu(Phen)(PPh3)2]NO3.  相似文献

The aim of this article is to examine the influence of the pressing direction on the behavior of the thermal expansion coefficient α(T) of graphite foam in the 300–780 K temperature range. The thermal expansion coefficients of two samples, one pressed along the direction of strong interactions and the other pressed along the direction of weak interactions, were measured along three directions X, Y, and Z. The results show that the dilatometric behavior of the material changes from one direction to another. The values of α(T) vary widely depending on the measurement direction. Anisotropy becomes even more intense when the sample is pressed along the direction of weak interactions.  相似文献

Quantum dots functionalized on the outer surface with either amino- or carboxyl functions were labelled with [18F]fluoroethyltosylate and [11C]methyliodide in order to use the positron emitter-labelled fluorescence agents for multimodality imaging techniques, i.e. fluorescence imaging and positron emission tomography. 18F-Labelling of both compounds was realized with yields up to 5% as determined by size exclusion chromatography, which is twice as much as reported in literature before [1]. 11C-Labelling of amino- and carboxyl-QDs proceeded with good yields (up to 45 and 35%, respectively) under optimized reaction conditions. In general for both QD-types and both labelling agents the labelling yield increased with the amount of QDs used in the reaction as well as with reaction time and reaction temperature.  相似文献

A simple synthetic method for the preparation of enantiomerically pure (S)-4-aminoquinazoline alcohols from (S)-quinazolinone alcohols by key steps including chlorination, nucleophilic ipso substitution, and deacetylation is presented. Mutagenic and antimutagenic properties of the (S)-4-aminoquinazoline alcohols were investigated by using Salmonella typhimurium TA1535, and Escherichia coli WP2uvrA tester strains at 0.01, 0.1, and 1 μg/plate concentrations. (S)-4-aminoquinazoline alcohols were found to be genotoxically safe at the tested concentrations. Among the tested (S)-4-aminoquinazoline alcohols, the best antimutagenic activity was obtained with a methyl derivative at 0.1 μg/plate dose.  相似文献

We introduce a version of the weighted 1-maximin problem in a convex polygon, where the weights are functions of a parameter. The 1-maximin problem is applicable in the location of undesirable facilities. Its objective is to find an optimal location such that the minimum weighted distance to a given set of points is maximized. We show that the parametric 1-maximin problem is equivalent to a 1-minimax problem, where the costs are non-linearly decreasing functions of distance. Using different values of the parameter in the 1-maximin problem, one can model different disutility functions for the users of the facility. Furthermore, the parameterization provides for a systematic way of reducing the effects of the weights, resulting in the unweighted 1-maximin problem in the limit. For two example problems we construct the optimal trajectory as a function of the parameter, and demonstrate that the trajectory may be discontinuous.  相似文献

In this paper we employ our previously formulated constitutive relations for an elastic heat conductor to examine the nonlinear influence of the temperature on the propagation of second sound. Utilizing the method of geometric optics we ascertain that large values of second sound travel more slowly than do smaller ones. As well, numerical results for a signaling problem are displayed graphically in order to highlight the qualitative properties of the temperature and strain waves. The choice of signaling data was motivated by experimental studies.  相似文献
