This paper deals with models describing the thermal and chemical behaviour of solid particles undergoing fast endothermic reactions under the influence of an external heat flux. The heat source temperature is supposed to be constant, to increase with time, or to deliver a simple thermal flash. It is shown that the pyrolysis conditions (reaction temperature, conversion, etc.) depend on the chemical characteristics of the reaction and also to a large extent on the external heating conditions. Relationships are proposed to take into account these parameters. The results are applied to the thermal decomposition of NaHCO3. The pyrolysis of cellulose is finally chosen in order to show how these operating parameters can also affect the selectivity of a more complex reaction.  相似文献

 A series of P[N-isopropylacrylamide (NIPAM)] latexes with different contents of cyano groups were successfully prepared by either seeded or shot-growth polymerizations of an aqueous solution containing acrylonitrile (AN) onto a seed P[NIPAM] latex, respectively, and further characterized by FT-IR, 1H-NMR, elemental analysis, as well as by quasielastic light scattering (QELS) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). All prepared surface-cyanofunctionalized P[NIPAM] latexes exhibited the same range of lower critical solution temperature (LCST) as a pure P[NIPAM] latex. The shot polymerization process proved more efficient at yielding cyano derivatized latexes than the seeded polymerization technique. The amount of incorporated cyano groups onto the particles was determined with a good correlation both by 1H-NMR and elemental analysis. The higher the amount of initially introduced AN monomer in the reaction mixture, the more cyano groups were incorporated onto the particles. The surface of the particles with high content of cyano groups appeared quite rough by SEM in comparison with that of the pure P[NIPAM] particles. A high-performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) procedure was developed to separate all-trans-, 13-cis-, 11-cis- and 9-cis-retinal isomers. Two reversed-phase Vydac C18 columns in series were used with an isocratic solvent system of 0.1 M ammonium acetate-acetonitrile (40:60, v/v) as mobile phase and all-trans-9-(4-methoxy-2,3,6-trimethylphenyl)-3,7-dimethyl-2,4,6,8-no natetraene-1-ol (TMMP) as internal standard. Prior to HPLC, the retinal isomers were efficiently extracted in their original isomeric conformation using dichloromethane-n-hexane in the presence of formaldehyde. This technique is suitable for the assay of 11-cis- and all-trans-retinal isomers in retina.  相似文献

Treatment of azoxybenzene and its derivatives with acids is known to result in the Wallach rearrangement, which leads to 2- or4-hydroxyazobenzenes. Starting in the 1960s, experimental findings have lead to the proposal of several mechanisms for this rearrangement. In this work, molecular orbital theory employing the semiempirical AM1 method is used to locate and discuss the energetics of the intermediates and the transition states for this rearrangement. Based on the results of AM1 calculations in vacuum and in solution, the most plausible mechanistic pathways are proposed and discussed.  相似文献

Studies are presented of the infrared spectra (3200–400 cm?1) of monocrystal films of Fe (C5H5)2 Ru(C5H5)2, Os(C5H5)2 using polarized radiation, and of the laser-Raman spectra of solid samples of these compounds in the temperature range +20° to ?190°C. The samples were prepared by slow cooling of the melts. The infrared spectra of solid films of Ni(C5H5)2 made by deposition on a cold window, were also recorded. Assignments of the fundamental vibrational frequencies of these molecules are given. The fundamental modes of vibrations which are forbidden by symmetry appear in the spectra of the solid state. The vibrations of species E1u and E2u showed definite site group splitting. At the point of phase transition in the IR spectrum of Fe(C5H5)2 factor-group splitting to give 3–4 components for bands of species A1u and A2u and 6–8 components for bands of species e1u and E2u was observed. Factor-group analysis is more consistent with C1 site symmetry of the low-temperature phase of the crystal of ferrocene than Ci, as was proposed earlier.  相似文献

A simple method for the determination of molybdenum and tungsten in sea and surface water is presented. Molybdenum and tungsten are concentrated on activated charcoal by adsorption as the ammonium pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate complex; the optimal pH for adsorption is 1.3. Mo and W are then determined by thermal neutron activation, forming 99Mo (T12 = 66.7 h) and 137W (T12 = 23.8 h), respectively. The 99mTc daughter of 99Mo is measured as soon as the equilibrium between 99mTc(T12= 6 h) and 99Mo is established. The detection limits are 0.05 μg Mo l-1 and 0.05 μg W l-1 (or 0.001 μg W l-1 after a simple chemical separation).  相似文献
