The time course of Mg uptake and release using intact rice plants and 28Mg as a tracer is presented. Since there is no conventional Mg tracer available, 28Mg was produced via 27Al(α, 3p)28Mg reaction using a cyclotron. Using the purified 28Mg tracer, it was found that the uptake amount of 28Mg by the rice plants increased linearly during 30 min of application. After 28Mg treatment for 90 min, the roots were sequentially washed with iced solution for 120 min. Within about 10 min, almost all of the 28Mg, that was thought to be weakly bound to the apoplast, was washed away.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

1H NMR spectra of some oligosaccharide substituted cyclodextrins composed of only α-D-glucose units are analysed. Chemical shifts of protons of each glucosyl group of the chain were determined by experiments with the HOHAHA pulse technique. In spite of the similar kinds of protons, dispersion of chemical shifts is observed. The most dispersed proton is the anomeric proton, and the largest change in the chemical shifts is 0.5 ppm.  相似文献

In this review article, we describe recent progress about exotic self-assembled systems with various dimensions including biomolecules, supramolecules, unique hydrophobic amphiphiles, polymers, nano-clusters, and colloidal particles. Construction of robust biomolecular assemblies with exotic structures, such as ring and hollow capsule, is achieved by rational designs of symmetric biomolecular conjugates. In addition, we comprehensively summarized leading-edge topics on optical/topological properties of self-assembled hybrid systems, such as circularly polarized luminescence or structural color. The preparation of colloidal amorphous array with photonic band gap-induced angle-independent structural color is also achieved in consideration of the following situations: i) two-body sphere–sphere potential, ii) disorder packing using different sizes of colloidal particles, and iii) softness of colloidal particles. Lastly, we demonstrated useful utilizations of exotic self-assembled objects. Flakelike microparticles were transcribed into various nano-flake metals and applied as temperature indicator for the local heating of an addictive. All findings described here show meaningful hybrid strategies in self-assembly techniques and their functionalization as well as materialization.  相似文献

A peptide fragment of a non-amyloid-beta component (NAC(1-13)) was studied by CD and electron microscopy. Typical amyloid fibrils were observed by EM in a solution of NAC(1-13). In addition to the beta-structural CD band in the far-UV region, a novel CD band near 285 nm was observed in a peptide solution of NAC(1-13). Taking the NAC(1-13) to contain neither an aromatic amino acid residue nor cystine into account, the CD band can be attributed to amyloid fibrils of NAC(1-13).  相似文献

Brownian dynamics simulations of shear flows are carried out for various suspensions of ellipsoids interacting via the Gay-Berne potential. In this simulation all the systems of the suspension are in a liquid crystalline phase at rest. In a shear flow they exhibit various motions of the director depending on the shear rate: the continuous rotation, the intermittent rotation, the wagging-like oscillation, and the aligning. The director is almost always out of the vorticity plane when it rotates, that is the kayaking. The number density of the system and the inter-particle potential intensity significantly affect the shear rate dependence of orientation. In particular, the continuous rotation of director is maintained to higher shear rates for the system with a stronger potential. Furthermore, the rheological properties are examined. The shear-thinning in viscosity is observed, but the negative first normal difference is not obtained.  相似文献

The optimization of a porous structure to ensure good separation performances is always a significant issue in high‐performance liquid chromatography column design. Recently we reported the homogeneous embedment of Ag nanoparticles in periodic mesoporous silica monolith and the application of such Ag nanoparticles embedded silica monolith for the high‐performance liquid chromatography separation of polyaromatic hydrocarbons. However, the separation performance remains to be improved and the retention mechanism as compared with the Ag ion high‐performance liquid chromatography technique still needs to be clarified. In this research, Ag nanoparticles were introduced into a macro/mesoporous silica monolith with optimized pore parameters for high‐performance liquid chromatography separations. Baseline separation of benzene, naphthalene, anthracene, and pyrene was achieved with the theoretical plate number for analyte naphthalene as 36 000 m?1. Its separation function was further extended to cis/trans isomers of aromatic compounds where cis/trans stilbenes were chosen as a benchmark. Good separation of cis/trans‐stilbene with separation factor as 7 and theoretical plate number as 76 000 m?1 for cis‐stilbene was obtained. The trans isomer, however, is retained more strongly, which contradicts the long‐ established retention rule of Ag ion chromatography. Such behavior of Ag nanoparticles embedded in a silica column can be attributed to the differences in the molecular geometric configuration of cis/trans stilbenes.  相似文献
