A new strategy to 6-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid (HNPA) and 4-hydroxybenzoic acid from 2,6-diisopropylnaphthalene and p-cymene, respectively, was developed using the NHPI-catalyzed aerobic oxidation as a principal reaction. 2,6-Diisopropylnaphthalene was oxidized by the oxidation with O2 (1 atm) by NHPI (10 mol %) combined with Co(OAc)2 (0.5 mol %) to give 6-acetyl-2-isopropylnaphthalene, which then was converted to 6-isopropyl-2-naphthoic acid under O2 (1 atm) in the presence of Co(OAc)2 (0.5 mol %) and Mn(OAc)2 (0.5 mol %). Esterification of the resulting acid followed by the aerobic oxidation produced methyl 6-hydroxy-2-naphthoate whose hydrolysis led to the desired HNPA. An alternative route involves the oxidation of 6-acetyl-2-isopropylnaphthalene to 6-acetyl-2-naphthol on which subsequent oxidation and deacetylation gave HNPA. This method was successfully extended to the synthesis of 4-hydroxybenzoic acid from p-cymene.  相似文献

The enzyme assay in a femtoliter chamber array is a simple and efficient method for concentrating the reaction product; it greatly improves the detection sensitivity down to the single-molecule level. However, in previous methods, controlling the initiation and termination of the reaction in each chamber is difficult once enclosed. Furthermore, the recovery of the enzyme and product is also difficult. To overcome these drawbacks, we developed a femtoliter droplet array in which the individual droplets are fixed on the substrate and are directly accessible from outside. A hydrophilic-in-hydrophobic micropatterned surface was used for the preparation of the droplets. When the aqueous solution on the surface is exchanged with oil, the hydrophilic surface retains the aqueous solution, and more than 10(6) dome-shaped droplets that are usable for further assay can be prepared simultaneously. The curvature radius of the droplet obeys the Young-Laplace equation, and the volume can be precisely controlled by the micropipette, which applies pressure into the droplet. Changing the pressure makes the addition, collection, and exchange of the aqueous content for individual droplets possible. Using these advantages, we successfully measured the kinetic parameters of the single-molecule enzyme β-galactosidase and rotary motor protein F(1)-ATPase enclosed in a droplet.  相似文献

A water‐soluble surfactant consisting of hexa‐peri‐hexabenzocoronene (HBC) as hydrophobic aromatic core and hydrophilic carboxy substituents was synthesized. It exhibited a self‐assembled nanofiber structure in the solid state. Profiting from the π interactions between the large aromatic core of HBC and graphene, the surfactant mediated the exfoliation of graphite into graphene in polar solvents, which was further stabilized by the bulky hydrophilic carboxylic groups. A graphene dispersion with a concentration as high as 1.1 mg L?1 containing 2–6 multilayer nanosheets was obtained. The lateral size of the graphene sheets was in the range of 100–500 nm based on atomic force microscope (AFM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM) measurements.  相似文献

A facile synthetic approach toward thiacalix[n]thiophene homologues (n=4–6) is presented herein. Pd‐catalyzed coupling of 2,5‐dibromothiophene derivatives with stannyl sulfide gave various thiacalix[n]thiophenes in good yields. The optical and electrochemical properties of the produced cavitands were investigated. Furthermore, gelation was observed in some solvents.  相似文献

Purpose

To assess the value of gadoxetic acid-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for the pre-therapeutic detection of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis with the combination of computed tomography (CT) arterial portography and CT hepatic arteriography (CTAP/CTHA).

Materials and Methods

A total of 54 consecutive patients with 87 nodular HCCs were retrospectively analyzed. All HCC nodules were confirmed pathologically. Three blinded readers independently reviewed 432 hepatic segments, including 78 segments with 87 HCCs. Each reader read two sets of images: Set 1, CTAP/CTHA; Set 2, gadoxetic acid-enhanced MRI including a gradient dual-echo sequence and diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI). The ROC method was used to analyze the results. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and sensitivity according to tumor size were evaluated.

Results

For each reader, the area under the curve was significantly higher for Set 2 than for Set 1. The mean area under the curve was also significantly greater for Set 2 than for Set 1 (area under the curve, 0.98 vs. 0.93; P = .0009). The sensitivity was significantly higher for Set 2 than for Set 1 for all three readers (P = .012, .013 and .039, respectively). The difference in the specificity, positive predictive values and negative predictive values of the two modalities for each reader was not significant (P > .05).

Conclusion

Gadoxetic acid-enhanced MRI including a gradient dual-echo sequence and DWI is recommended for the pre-therapeutic evaluation of patients with HCC.  相似文献

The colloidal dispersion containing the nanosized zeolites with the MFI topology has been successfully prepared. A pre-aging process of the mother gel at 80°C for 24 h before the crystallization was important for the formation of the nanosized zeolites. We have also found that silicalite-1 nanocrystals av. 62 nm in size were formed by the addition of acidic amino acids into the mother gel. The particle size of the zeolites can be controlled ranging from 62 to 530 nm by changing the amount of water, aging process, crystallization time and temperature and the addition of organic molecules. Furthermore, nanosized titanium silicalite-1 (TS-1) with the size of 50-130 nm has been successfully synthesized by the addition of a Ti source into the synthesis gel of the silicalite-1 nanocrystals. The nanosized TS-1 exhibits a higher catalytic activity in the epoxidation of cyclohexene than the microsized ones. Finally, we demonstrate the preparation of thin films of the silicalite-1 and TS-1 nanocrystals onto a silicon substrate by a dip-coating technique.  相似文献

We give necessary and sufficient conditions for the boundedness of generalized fractional integral and maximal operators on Orlicz–Morrey and weak Orlicz–Morrey spaces. To do this, we prove the weak–weak type modular inequality of the Hardy–Littlewood maximal operator with respect to the Young function. Orlicz–Morrey spaces contain L p $L^p$ spaces ( 1 p $1\le p\le \infty$ ), Orlicz spaces, and generalized Morrey spaces as special cases. Hence, we get necessary and sufficient conditions on these function spaces as corollaries.  相似文献
