Crystal Structures of 5-Nitro- and 5-Ethoxycarbonyl-Substituted 6-Phenyl-4-(3-fluorophenyl)-3,4-dihydro-(1H)-pyrimidin-2-ones

The crystal structures of 5-nitro- and 5-ethoxycarbonyl-substituted 6-phenyl-4-(3-fluorophenyl)-3,4-dihydro-(1H)-pyrimidin-2-ones were determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. Conformational peculiarities of the structures have been revealed and compared with data for other biologically active dihydropyrimidinones.     

Synthesis and Structure of Cyclohexenes Functionalized by Nitro and Trifluoro(chloro)methyl Groups

Cyclohexenes functionalized by nitro and trihalomethyl groups were produced by condensation of 1-nitro- and 1-bromo-1-nitro-3,3,3-trifluoro(chloro)propenes with 2-methyl- and 2,3-dimethyl-1,3-butadienes; their structure was characterized by IR, ¹H, ¹³C, ¹⁹F NMR spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction method.     

Supramolecular structure of 6-phenyl-2-chloropyrimidine-4-carboxamide and its complexes with dioxane and ethanol

A stable 2:1 complex of 6-phenyl-2-chloropyrimidine-4-carboxamide with dioxane has been synthesized. The structure of the complex was investigated by molecular spectroscopy (chloroform solution), thermoderivatography, and XRD (crystalline phase). A supramolecular structure is formed in the crystal of the complex, which involves centrosymmetric dimer associates of amide molecules, linked by dioxane molecules and intermolecular hydrogen bonds into infinite stepwise ribbons. These ribbons are stacked via π-stacking pair interactions “amidopyrimidine-amidopyrimidine.” The complex of the same 2:1 carboxamido derivative of pyrimidine with ethanol is unstable and has a different structure. The ethanol molecules lie in the vacant voids of the stacks formed by the “amidopyrimidine-amidopyrimidine” synthon.

Reaction of (<Emphasis Type="Italic">p</Emphasis>-alkoxyphenyl)-acetothioamides with acetylene-dicarboxylic esters

The condensation of p-methoxy(ethoxy)phenylacetothioamides with acetylenedicarboxylic esters leads to two condensation products, 2-(alkoxycarbonylmethylene)-4-(4-methoxy(ethoxy)phenyl)-5-morpho-lino-3H-thiophen-3-ones and 2-(alkoxycarbonylmethylene)-4-(4-methoxy(ethoxy)phenyl)-5-alkoxy-3H-thiophen-3-ones. 3,3,3-Tribromo-1-nitropropene and its precursors such as 2-hydroxy- and 2-acetoxy-1,1,1-tribromo-1-nitropropanes were prepared and characterized by IR, UV, ¹H, ¹³C, HMQC, and HMBC NMR spectroscopy methods. Structure of tribromomethylnitroalkene was studied by X-ray diffraction.
