An efficient electron transporting layer (ETL) based on single walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) composites has been developed for poly [2-methoxy-5-(2′-ethyl-hexyloxy)-1,4-phenylene vinylene] (MEH-PPV) based orange polymer light emitting diodes (PLEDs) and its effect on the performance of PLEDs has been examined. It is observed that with increase in SWCNT concentration, in ETL, the luminance and luminous efficiency of the PLEDs increase (about 5 times increase in luminance is observed at 5% w/w SWCNT concentration). The SWCNTs present in the MEH-PPV ETL boost the mobility of electrons injected from the cathode towards the emissive layer by establishing highly conducting percolation paths. This balances the concentration of holes and electrons in the emissive layer, which leads to enhanced emission from the PLEDs. 相似文献

Three samples of amorphous TiO2 of 3 nm size are prepared by molecular dynamics simulations using different heating and quenching rates and open boundary conditions. Matsui–Akaogi force field is used to calculate the correlation functions. It is found that atomic distribution in these samples differ within the limit of 4%. The calculated coordination numbers suggest that 52–54% Ti atoms are 6-fold coordinated, 31–32% Ti atoms are 5-fold coordinated, 7–10% are 4-fold coordinated and few Ti atoms even 7-fold coordinated through vertex and edge sharing in these samples. On the other hand 66–68% oxygen atoms remain 3-fold coordinated, 25–28% are 2-fold coordinated and 5–6% oxygen atoms become 4-fold coordinated. Most of the over coordinated and under coordinated strained structures are in the core and surface regions respectively. The agreement between the calculated and measured reduced structure factors suggests that atomic arrangements in the laboratory samples prepared by sputtering and sol-gel methods may be similar to those predicted by molecular dynamics simulations. 相似文献

The effects of nonthermal ion distribution and finite dust temperature are incorporated in the investigation of nonlinear
dust acoustic waves in an unmagnetized dusty plasma. Sagdeev pseudopotential method which takes into account the full nonlinearity
of plasma equations, is used here to study solitary wave solutions. Possibility of co-existence of refractive and compressive
solitons as a function of Mach number, dust temperature and concentration of nonthermal ions, is considered. For the fixed
value of nonthermal ions, it is found that the effect of increase in dust temperature is to reduce the range of co-existence
of compressive and refractive solitons. Particular concentration of nonthermal ions results in disappearance of refractive
solitons while the decrease in dust temperature, at this concentration restores the lost refractive solitons. 相似文献

Laboratory as well as PIC simulation experiments reveal strong flow of energetic electrons co-moving with laser beam in laser plasma interaction. Equation governing the evolution of complex envelope in slowly varying envelope approximation is nonlinear parabolic equation. Variational approach is used to solve this problem and a Lagrangian for the problem is set up. Assuming a trial Gaussian profile, authors solve the reduced Lagrangian problem for beam width and curvature. Two scale lengths for inhomogenity along the direction of propagation, one for nonlinearity and other for diffraction management are introduced. Self-focusing, self-modulation as well as self-trapping of the laser-electron-beam plasma system is studied under variety of parameters. 相似文献
