Concise Synthesis and Antimicrobial Activities of New Substituted 5‐Isoxazolpenicillins

The synthesis of a series of new 5‐isoxazolpenicillins is described, which were obtained by coupling substituted isoxazoles with 6‐APA. Concise large‐scale synthesis of 3,5‐disubstituted isoxazoles by 1,3‐dipolar cycloaddition using copper(I) as catalyst was also investigated. Representative compounds were assayed for antimicrobial activities, showing satisfactory antimicrobial activities against Gram‐negative bacteria.     

活性炭和石墨混合载体的Pt催化剂（Pt/CG）对乙醇氧化电催化活性的影响

用化学沉积法制备炭载Pt(Pt/C)和以活性炭与石墨作混合载体的Pt(Pt/CG)催化剂。实验结果表明，活性炭与石墨质量比影响Pt/CG催化剂对乙醇氧化的电催化活性。当活性炭与石墨的质量比为15∶1时，制得的Pt/CG催化剂对乙醇氧化的电催化活性最高。     

Radiation effects in the transient hot-wire technique

The transient hot-wire technique is widely used for absolute measurements of the thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity of fluids. It is well established that fluid radiation effects significantly influence these measurements, especially those for the thermal diffusivity. Corrections for radiation effects are based on the models developed and deviations of the measured data from the ideal line source model. In this paper, the effect of fluid radiation on the measurements of the thermal conductivity of n-pentane is presented. For comparison, the influence of thermal radiation effect on measurement of transparent fluids, such as argon is also shown. The difference between the influence of natural convection and thermal radiation is also demonstrated.     

Tri-component diblock copolymers of poly(ethylene glycol)–poly(ε-caprolactone-<Emphasis Type="Italic">co</Emphasis>-lactide): synthesis,characterization and loading camptothecin

Biodegradable tri-component diblock copolymer was synthesized by bulk copolymerization of ε-caprolactone (CL) and D, L-lactide (LA) in the presence of methoxy poly(ethylene glycol) (MePEG), using stannous octoate as catalyst. Their chemical structure and physical properties were investigated by GPC, NMR, DSC, TGAand XRD. The increase of CL/LA ratio in the diblock copolymer leads to lower T _g, higher decomposition temperature and crystallinity. Nanoparticles formulated from MePEG–poly(CL-co-LA) (PCAE) possess spherical structure, which was characterized by dynamic light scattering (DLS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The DLS results indicate that the particle size increased with the increase of CL/LA ratio and the hydrophobic fragment length in the copolymer. The drug encapsulation efficiency and the drug release behavior in vitro conditions of camptothecin were measured by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The encapsulation efficiency can be achieved as high as 84.4% and the release behavior can be made well-controlled. MePEG–poly(CL-co-LA) nanoparticles might have a great potential as carriers for hydrophobic drugs.

Structure and Magnetic Properties of a Novel Two‐Dimensional Complex from 1, 3, 5‐Benzenetricarboxylate and Neodymium(III) — {[Nd(1, 3, 5‐benzenetricarboxylate)(H2O)4] · H2O}n

A unique neodymium(III) complex, {[Nd(BTC)(H₂O)₄] · H₂O}_n (BTC = 1, 3, 5‐benzenetricarboxylate), was obtained from the reaction between Nd(ClO₄)₃ · xH₂O and Na₃BTC. Coordination bonds, hydrogen bonds, and π‐π stacking form a supramolecular structure with a novel, two‐dimensional framework. The temperature‐dependent magnetic susceptibilities were analyzed by the Curie‐Weiss law; the following values were found C = 1.32, θ = —18.3 K, respectively.     

Pt-SnO2 / C催化剂对乙醇和吸附态CO的电催化氧化

由于乙醇最有可能成为直接甲醇燃料电池（DMFC）的替代燃料，因此近年来。对乙醇的电化学氧化及直接乙醇燃料电池的研究已引起人们的很大兴趣。甲醇毒性较大并且易透过Nafion膜进入阴极造成阴极的混合电位而影响DMFC的阴极性能．这是制约DMFC走向实用化的主要问题之一。因此人们在致力于研究直接甲醇燃料电池的同时．也寻求其它的小分子醇作为甲醇的替代燃料。乙醇是除甲醇以外最简单的醇．它来源广泛．无毒，是可再生和环保型能源．并且也有较高的能量密度和反应活性。但是乙醇在电极上的完全氧化因涉及到C-C键的断裂要比甲醇困难．阳极反应动力学过程也比较缓慢。到目前为止铂基催化剂仍然是乙醇氧化最好的催化剂．虽然也有使用非铂催化剂研究乙醇的电氧化，但催化活性远不如铂基催化剂高。     

Lewis acid mediated reactions of cyclopropyl aryl ketones with alpha-ketoesters: facile preparation of 5,6-dihydropyran-2-ones

[reaction: see text] A new general method for the synthesis of 5,6-dihydropyran-2-ones from cyclopropyl aryl ketones (monoactivated cyclopropanes) and alpha-ketoesters in good to excellent yields has been developed. The process involves a cascade of reactions, including a nucleophilic ring-opening reaction of monoactivated cyclopropane by H2O, Lewis acid mediated transesterification, and an aldol type reaction.     

Highly enantioselective epoxidation of alpha,beta-unsaturated esters by chiral dioxirane

This paper describes a highly enantioselective epoxidation of alpha,beta-unsaturated esters using the fructose-derived ketone 2 as catalyst and Oxone as oxidant. High ee's have been obtained for a number of trans and trisubstituted substrates (82-98% ee). The results described show that it is feasible for dioxiranes to effectively epoxidize electron-deficient olefins with high ee's.
