We measure the current and shot noise in a quantum dot in the Kondo regime to address the nonequilibrium properties of the Kondo effect. By systematically tuning the temperature and gate voltages to define the level positions in the quantum dot, we observe an enhancement of the shot noise as temperature decreases below the Kondo temperature, which indicates that the two-particle scattering process grows as the Kondo state evolves. Below the Kondo temperature, the Fano factor defined at finite temperature is found to exceed the expected value of unity from the noninteracting model, reaching 1.8±0.2. 相似文献

During precancer development in epithelium, neoplastic cells remodel the underlying stroma, for example, the basement membrane, capillaries, fibroblasts, and extracellular matrix. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the nonlinear optical signals from the collagen matrix in stroma and the progression of early epithelial carcinogenesis. Two-photon excited fluorescence (TPEF) and second harmonic generation (SHG) signals were measured from the stroma of hamster oral cheek pouch in vivo. We found that three features, including the intensity ratio of TPEF over SHG, the spatial frequency distribution, and the texture feature of SHG images, provide the quantitative identification of epithelial precancer at different pathologic stages. We demonstrated that the combination of all three features by using a support vector machine algorithm can significantly improve the accuracy in the detection of epithelial precancer. 相似文献

A simple sensor system for high spatial resolution distributed strain field measurement is proposed and demonstrated experimentally. The fiber loop ringdown technique combined with a linear chirped fiber Bragg grating is used to realize the high spatial resolution. A proof-of-concept distributed strain sensor with 2?mm spatial resolution is realized. The sensor network is also explored and researched experimentally. Adhesion performance of MEMS materials is increasingly important with the widely use of miniaturized devices. This paper proposed a novel method for improving adhesion performance between electrodeposited Ni multi-layers. The new method is to treat the Ni substrate in nickel chloride plating solution by pulse reverse current technique before electrodeposition. The dense oxide film of Ni substrate can be removed effectively by this electrochemical method, meanwhile, the proper roughness of Ni substrate is in favor of epitaxial growth during electrodeposition. Moreover, the Ni film is electrodeposited by the new method with low stress and coarse crystal grain. Consequently, the adhesion performance of Ni films is improved dramatically. The experimental results show that the adhesion performance of Ni film electrodeposited by the new method is about 3 times that of by traditional method. 相似文献

ZnO quantum-dot chains codoped with Eu3+ and Er3+ were synthesized by the chemical precipitation method and the codoping effects on the structures, morphologies and optical properties of the powders were briefly investigated. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) results indicated the Eu3+ and Er3+ were incorporated into the crystal lattice of ZnO host. Transmission electron microscope (TEM) measurements showed the sizes of the ZnO quantum dots decreased with the increase of Eu3+ and Er3+ doping concentration, and the quantum-dot chains were formed by codoping with Eu3+ and Er3+. The green emissions in the photoluminescence spectra were attributed to 4f-4f of Er3+ inner shell 2H11/2 → 4I15/2 and 4S3/2 → 4I15/2 transitions, and the characteristic red emissions of Eu3+ ions were attributed to the 5D0 → 7F1 and 5D0 → 7F2 transitions, respectively. Moreover, the red emission of the Eu3+ ions gradually decreased with the Er3+ ions doping concentration increased, which may be due to the different energy storage centers in the powders. 相似文献

A series of Ti1−xMoxO2−yNy samples were prepared by using sol-gel method and characterized by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy and UV-vis absorption spectroscopy. All Ti1−xMoxO2−yNy samples are anatase phase. It is found that Mo, N mono-doping can increase visible light absorption, while (Mo + N) co-doping can greatly enhance absorption in whole visible region. Results of our first-principles band structure calculations reveal that (Mo + N)-doping, especially passivated co-doping can increase the up-limit of dopant concentration and create more impurity bands in the band gap of TiO2, which leads to a greatly increase of its visible-light absorption without a decrease of its redox potential. It reveals that (Mo + N) co-doped TiO2 is promising for a photocatalyst with high photocalystic activity under visible light. 相似文献
