A Ni0‐NCN pincer complex featuring a six‐membered N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) central platform and amidine pendant arms was synthesized by deprotonation of its NiII precursor. It retained chloride in the square‐planar coordination sphere of nickel and was expected to be highly susceptible to oxidative addition reactions. The Ni0 complex rapidly activated ammonia at room temperature, in a ligand‐assisted process where the carbene carbon atom played the unprecedented role of proton acceptor. For the first time, the coordinated (ammine) and activated (amido) species were observed together in solution, in a solvent‐dependent equilibrium. A structural analysis of the Ni complexes provided insight into the highly unusual, non‐innocent behavior of the NHC ligand.  相似文献

Collision-induced timing shifts in a wavelength-division multiplexed soliton system are computed when damping, amplification, filtering and positive dispersion management following the loss profile are included. A statistical analysis is presented which takes into account the resulting effect of the large number of collisions occurring in the fiber. Analytic expressions are derived for the root mean square timing jitter and the maximum length of error-free transmission with an arbitrary number of channels. An extensive analysis of system performance corresponding to situations with and without filters and/or dispersion management is carried out.  相似文献

Compressed workweeks have gained acceptance in many 7-days-a-week operations. This paper provides a multiple-shift workforce scheduling model and a simple algorithm for the 3-day workweek. The model presented here is of practical relevance and the algorithm is intuitive and simple enough to be implemented by hand. A scheduler planning to switch to a 3-day workweek but not certain how to schedule off-days and shifts, may find this paper helpful.  相似文献

The code GLAM solves the two-dimensional, azimuthally symmetric, steady-state equation of transfer for the energy density, flux and pressure tensor. The code calculates the intensity along a given ray and then numerically integrates the intensity to obtain the various moments. A unique feature of the code is the method for the calculation of the limits of the azimuthal angle. The code can handle the source-free vacuum equations and problems with emission and isotropic scattering sources. The code also has an option for the calculation of geometric view factors.  相似文献

The deformation and failure of the secondary cell wall of Spruce wood was studied by in-situ SEM compression of micropillars machined by the focused ion beam technique. The cell wall exhibited yield strength values of approximately 160 MPa and large scale plasticity. High resolution SEM imaging post compression revealed bulging of the pillars followed by shear failure. With additional aid of cross-sectional analysis of the micropillars post compression, a model for deformation and failure mechanism of the cell wall has been proposed. The cell wall consists of oriented cellulose microfibrils with high aspect ratio embedded in a hemicellulose-lignin matrix. The deformation of the secondary wall occurs by asymmetric out of plane bulging because of buckling of the microfibrils. Failure of the cell wall following the deformation occurs by the formation of a shear or kink band.  相似文献

We derive upper bounds on the tail distribution of the transient waiting time in the GI/GI/1 queue, given a truncated sequence of the moments of the service time and that of the interarrival time. Our upper bound is given as the objective value of the optimal solution to a semidefinite program (SDP) and can be calculated numerically by solving the SDP. We also derive the upper bounds in closed form for the case when only the first two moments of the service time and those of the interarrival time are given. The upper bounds in closed form are constructed by formulating the dual problem associated with the SDP. Specifically, we obtain the objective value of a feasible solution of the dual problem in closed from, which turns out to be the upper bound that we derive. In addition, we study bounds on the maximum waiting time in the first busy period.  相似文献

Reactions of 1,4-difluoro-2,5-dimethoxybenzene with LDA (1:2) at low temperatures generated organodilithio intermediates; quenching the reaction mixtures with chlorophosphines ClPR2 produced 1,4-bis(phosphino)-2,5-difluoro-3,6-dimethoxybenzenes 1a (R = Ph) and 1b (R = iPr). Demethylation of 1ab was accomplished by BBr3, yielding bis(phosphino)hydroquinones 2ab. Treating 2ab with excess hydrogen peroxide produced bis(phosphinyl)hydroquinones 3ab. The binucleating properties of 2a were established by the formation of a bimetallic nickel complex upon reaction with Ph2Ni(PMe3)2. Electrochemical activity of hydroquinones 2ab and 3ab was examined by cyclic voltammetry. In addition, compounds 2a, 3a and 3b were obtained in crystalline form and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The influence of the fluorine substituents on the composition of the frontier orbitals of 2a and 3a was examined by computational methods.  相似文献
