Common wisdom might anticipate that two methyl groups placed on a molecular migration route should act as an impediment. However, the “conducted tour” migration of Li+(THF)4 across the aryl ring (“π-route”) during the cis/trans stereoinversion of α-arylvinyllithiums had been found to occur with practically equal velocities in the presence of either one or two ortho-alkyl substituents. We now report that the omission of both ortho-methyl groups retards the stereoinversion process. In order to arrive at an answer to the title question, we investigate the aggregation equilibria and microsolvation states of ortho, ortho′-unsubstituted α-lithiostyrenes by means of approved secondary NMR criteria. Beyond such necessary knowledge about the ground-state properties, we provide kinetic evidence showing that the retarded cis/trans stereoinversion of α-lithiostyrene proceeds by the pseudomonomolecular, ionic mechanism with Li+(THF)4 migration. 相似文献

A cascade of cyclization/cycloaddition reactions was triggered by addition of protic oxygen nucleophiles ROH 2 (RO = CH3CO2, PhCO2, PhO) to [2-(1-cyclohexenyl)ethynyl]carbene complexes 1b and 1c (M=W, Cr, respectively), affording highly strained "dimers" 11/11' and "trimers" 12 of the carbene ligand. The first reaction step involved the formation of 1-metalla1,3,5-hexatrienes 7, which readily gave tetrahydroindenes 8 by pi cyclization and extrusion of the metal unit. "Dimers" 11/11' were generated from tetrahydroindenes 8 by a highly exo selective [4+2] cycloaddition of compounds 1b and 1c to afford 1-metalla-1,3,5-hexatriene intermediates 9, and a spontaneous pi cyclization of the latter compounds involving the disengagement of the metal unit. Propenylidene cyclohexenes 13/13' were formed in "ene"-type side reactions to the pi cyclization of 1-metalla-1,3,5-hexatrienes 7, by loss of the metal unit. "Dimers" 11 were transformed into "trimers" 12 by a [4+2] cycloaddition and subsequent pi-cyclization of the resulting 1-metalla-1,3,5-hexatriene system. The course of the reaction was elucidated by means of model reactions with (2-phenylethynyl)carbene complex 14, in which 1-metalla-1,3,5-hexatriene intermediates 16 and 17 were isolated and characterized. Alkynyl benzene derivatives 19 were obtained by an unprecedented ring-expansion of a cyclopentadiene unit of "dimers" 11a and 11c, involving the insertion of a carbene carbon atom of compound 14 into a C=C bond. A reaction cascade leading to "dimers" 24/24' could also be triggered by treatment of compounds 2 with [2-(1-cycloheptenyl)ethynyl]carbene tungsten complex 1d. 相似文献

The relative free energies of hydration of the dipeptides glycylalanine and alanyl‐glycine in their naturally occurring form have been calculated both for the zwitterionic and protonated species. Emphasis was laid on comparisons between the conventional cutoff method and the Particle Mesh Ewald method to account for possible differences in electrostatic contributions to the free energy. Furthermore, the convergence behavior of the total free energy and its individual contributions were examined. The results, obtained by means of the thermodynamic integration technique as implemented in the free energy module of the AMBER program suite, suggest that in aqueous solution glycylalanine is more stable than alanylglycine by 2.7 kcal/mol in the zwitterionic form and by 3.5 kcal/mol in the protonated form. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. The compound [K([2.2.2]crypt)]Cs7[Sn9]2(en)3 ( 1 ) was synthesized from an alloy of formal composition KCs2Sn9 by dissolving in ethylenediamine (en) followed by the addition of [2.2.2]crypt and toluene. 1 crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pcca with a = 45.38(2), b = 9.092(4), c = 18.459(8) Å, and Z = 4. The structure consists of Cs7[Sn9]2 layers which contain [Sn9]4– anions and Cs+ cations. The layers are separated by [K([2.2.2]crypt)]+ units. In the intermetallic slab (Cs7[Sn9]2)– compares the arrangement of pairs of symmetry‐related [Sn9]4– anions with the dimer ([Ge9]–[Ge9])6– in [K([2.2.2]crypt)]2Cs4([Ge9]–[Ge9]), in which the clusters are linked by a cluster‐exo bond. The shortest distance between atoms of such two clusters in 1 is 4.762 Å, e. g. there are no exo Sn‐Sn bonds. The [Sn9]4– anion has almost perfect C4v‐symmetry. 相似文献

Polypyrrole (PPy) and poly(pyrrole-2,6-dimethyl-β-cyclodextrin) [P(Py-β-DMCD)] films prepared by potential cycling in aqueous acidic solutions on indium tin oxide (ITO)-coated glass and gold electrodes were studied by in situ UV-vis and Raman spectroscopy. Characteristic UV-vis and Raman bands were identified and their dependencies on the electrode potential have been discussed. Spectroelectrochemical results reveal differences both in the position of the spectral bands and their potential dependence for PPy and P(Py-β-DMCD) films indicating interactions between polymer chains and CDs during electropolymerization process.
