An effort has been made for obtaining the anharmonic properties of rocksalt structure solids starting from primary physical parameters viz. nearest-neighbor distance and hardness parameter assuming long- and short-range potentials at elevated temperatures. The elastic energy density for a deformed crystal can be expanded as power series of strains for obtaining coefficients of quadratic, cubic and quartic terms which are known as the second-, third- and fourth-order elastic constants, respectively. When the values of the higher-order elastic constants are known for a crystal, many of the anharmonic properties of the crystal can be treated within the limit of the continuum approximation in a quantitative manner. In this study, higher-order elastic constants are computed up to their melting temperature for rocksalt structure solids, which are alkali cyanides, sodium and potassium halides. The first order pressure derivatives of second- and third-order elastic constants, the second-order pressure derivatives of second-order elastic constants and partial contractions are also evaluated at different temperatures for these substances. Development of a 100 MeV CW proton LINAC has been planned at CAT. This LINAC will be needing CW rf power in the frequency
ranges of 350 MHz and 700 MHz for its RFQ and DTL/CCDTL/SFDTL structures respectively. The power to the accelerating structures
will be produced by either 1 MW CW or 250 kW CW klystrons/inductive output tubes (HOM IOTs). The power needed by respective
feed points in the structure is max. 250 kW which will be powered by splitting the power from 1 MW klystron/klystrode into
four channels by using a wave-guide system. In case of using 250 kW tubes the power to the structures will be provided directly
from each tube. Two types of wave-guide transmission system have been considered, viz, WR 2300 for 350 MHz rf needs and WR
1500 for 700 MHz rf needs. The typical wave-guide system has been designed using the 1 MW CW klystron followed by wave-guide
filter, dual directional coupler, high-power circulator, three 3 dB magic TEE power dividers to split the main channel into
four equal channels of 250 kW each. Each individual channel has dual directional couplers, flexible wave-guide sections and
high power ceramic vacuum window. The circulator and each power divider is terminated into the isolated ports by high power
CW loads. Out of the four channels three channels have phase shifters. Present paper describes the technological aspects and

The origin of the high- and low-frequency K-satellites of 31Ga, 32Ge, 33 As is explain on the basis of Hayasi's theory of quasi-stationary states. A high-performance liquid chromatography/electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry method was developed and validated for the quantification of pramipexole in human plasma. Following liquid-liquid extraction, the analytes were separated using an isocratic mobile phase on a reverse-phase column and analyzed by MS/MS in the multiple reaction monitoring mode using the respective [M + H](+) ions, m/z 212/152 for pramipexole and m/z 409/228 for the IS. The method exhibited a linear dynamic range of 200-8000 pg/mL for pramipexole in human plasma. The lower limit of quantification was 200 pg/mL with a relative standard deviation of less than 8%. Acceptable precision and accuracy were obtained for concentrations over the standard curve range. A run time of 3.5 min for each sample made it possible to analyze more than 200 human plasma samples per day. The validated method has been successfully used to analyze human plasma samples for application in pharmacokinetic, bioavailability or bioequivalence studies. 相似文献

A procedure is described in which gold(III) is quantitatively extracted with an amidine into chloroform over the acidity range pH 3.0–11.0 M HCl, followed by its selective spectrophotometric determination by interaction of the extract with methylene blue in the pH range 3.0–9.0. The molar absorptivity of the coloured complex formed by extraction with ten different amidines and methylene blue reaction lie in the range 1.1 × 104?6.5 × 104 1 mol?1 cm?1 at λmax (650 nm) in chloroform. The simplest compound, N, N′-diphenylbenzamidine, was chosen for detailed study. The limit of detection is 5 μg Au l?1. The method is free from interferences from the metals that are generally associated with gold. The method is simple, reproducible and applicable to the accurate recovery of gold from low-grade ores containing the metal at levels of > 1.5 μg g?1. 相似文献

The results of photoconductivity (PC), photoluminescence (PL), optical absorption spectra, XRD and SEM studies are presented
for (Cd0.95-Pb0.05)S: CdCl2,Ce films prepared by chemical bath deposition technique. PC gains ∼107 are found in doped films. PL emission spectrum is found in red region which is related to 5d to 4f transition in Ce. Films prepared at 60°C show better PC while those prepared at room temperature (RT) show better PL. Optical
absorption studies show reduction in band gap due to addition of PbS. A peak due to Ce is also observed in absorption spectrum.
XRD studies show the presence of both CdS and PbS. SEM studies show presence of microcrystals, cluster of grains along with

ABSTRACT: BACKGROUND: Peptide: N glycanase (PNG) enzyme cleaves oligosaccharides from the misfolded glycoproteins and prepares them for degradation. This enzyme plays a role in the endoplasmic reticulum associated degradation (ERAD) pathway in yeast and mice but its biological importance and role in multicellular development remain largely unknown. RESULTS: In this study, the PNG from the cellular slime mold, Dictyostelium discoideum (DdPNG) was identified based on the presence of a common TG (transglutaminase) core domain and its sequence homology with the known PNGs. The domain architecture and the sequence comparison validated the presence of probable functional domains in DdPNG. The tertiary structure matched with the mouse PNG. Here we show that DdPNG is an essential protein, required for aggregation during multicellular development and a knock out strain of it results in small sized aggregates, all of which do not form fruiting bodies. The in situ hybridization and RT PCR results show higher level of expression during the aggregate stage. The expression gets restricted to the prestalk region during later developmental stages. DdPNG is a functional peptide-N-glycanase enzyme possessing deglycosylation activity, but does not possess any significant transamidation activity. CONCLUSIONS: We have identified and characterized a novel PNG from D. discoideum and confirmed its deglycosylation activity. Antimicrobial properties casing wide applicability in water detoxification, pharmaceutics and in industries. Present work focus on the synthesis of a new series of Schiff Bases (E)-4-(1 substituted-1H Benzo[d]imidazole-2-yl)-N'-(substituted Benzylidene)benzohydrazide (5a-5l) were synthesized. The convenient route for the synthesis of new analogues by the condensation of 4-(substituted -1H-Benzo[d]imidazole-2-yl)-N'- Hydrazine with different derivatives of aromatic aldehydes were described using different solvents and catalysts. The structures of the synthesized compounds were ascertain by spectral techniques viz. IR, 1H NMR, MS and Physical Elemental data. Compounds were also subjected to thermal analysis to study their physical and chemical properties. The title compounds were also screened for their antimicrobial activity against various bacterial & Fungal strains. An amino‐acid‐based hydrophobically modified biocompatible copolymer, poly[(sodium N‐acryloyl‐L ‐valinate)‐co‐(N‐octylacrylamide)] was synthesized and characterized. Techniques such as fluorescence probes, DLS, and TEM were used to investigate its aggregation behavior in aqueous solution. The copolymer was observed to form micellar aggregates having diameters in the nanometer range in aqueous solution (pH = 8) through inter‐chain hydrophobic association. This behavior was found to be similar to that of poly[(sodium N‐acryloyl‐L ‐valinate)‐co‐(N‐dodecylacrylamide)]. The compact micellar nanostructures were observed to be stable with respect to changes of pH and temperature. The encapsulation and release of griseofulvin, a hydrophobic model drug, was studied.
