Quantum deformation of the confined Hulthen problem

A scheme for studyingq deformed quasi exactly solvable problem has been applied to the Schrödinger Hulthen problem (l=0). It is found that for the confined Hulthen problem, the confining parameter can be related to the deformation parameterq.     

Higher-order solution for dust acoustic solitary waves in an unmagnetized dusty plasma

The effect of higher-order nonlinearity on dust acoustic solitary waves is studied taking into account the dust-charge variation. The model of charge fluctuation, taken here, is of the formI _e+I _i=0,I _e andI _i being the electronic and ionic currents. The dust charge is determined self consistently from the current-balance equation. It is found that the higher-order correction modifies the amplitude and width of the dust acoustic solitary waves. The effect of dust-charge streaming is also discussed.     

Pseudo-supersymmetry and third order intertwining operator

It has been shown how one can obtain an intertwining operator of order (in terms of derivatives) higher than two, linking a non-Hermitian Hamiltonian to its Hermitian conjugate partner. Explicit third order realization of this intertwining operator is derived for complex Scarf potential.     

Dirac equation in (1+1)-dimensional curved space-time

The Dirac equation in (1+1)-dimensional curved space-time is solved explicitly for the spatially flat Robertson-Walker space-time and the cigar metric considered by Witten.     

Structure of 72,74Se at high spin

Lifetimes of high spin states up to { }=22⁺ in the yrast positive parity bands have been measured to investigate the shape evolution with increasing spin in ^{72, 74}Se. The Q _t values derived from these measurements indicate that prolate shape stabilizes for ⁷²Se, while a triaxial shape develops for ⁷⁴Se at higher spins. Comparison of the observed trend in Q _t with spin for ^{72, 74}Se with that of the corresponding kryptones isotones emphasizes the stability provided by N=38 prolate shell gap even at high rotational frequency.
