Guided wave phased array focusing has shown many advantages in long-range pipeline inspection, such as, longer inspection distance, greater wave penetration power and higher detection resolution. Viscoelastic coatings applied to a large percentage of pipes for protection purposes created some challenges in terms of focusing feasibility and inspection ability. Previous studies were all based on bare pipe models. In this work, guided wave phased array focusing in viscoelastic coated pipes is studied for the first time. Work was carried out with both numerical and experimental methods. A three-dimensional finite element model was developed for quantitatively and systematically modeling guided waves in pipes with different viscoelastic materials. A method of transforming measured coating properties to finite element method inputs was created in order to create a physically based model of guided waves in coated pipes. Guided wave focusing possibilities in viscoelastic coated pipes and the effects from coatings were comprehensively studied afterwards. A comparison of focusing and nonfocusing inspections was also studied quantitatively in coated pipe showing that focusing increased the wave energy and consequently the inspection ability tremendously. This study provides an important base line and guidance for guided wave propagation and focusing in a real field pipeline under various coating and environmental conditions.  相似文献

Proliferation and migration of keratinocytes and fibroblasts play an important role in cutaneous wound healing, while oral mucosal squamous cell proliferation and migration are crucial for oral wound healing. In this study, the phytochemical profile of Pluchea indica branch ethanolic extract was characterized. The bioactive compound of Pluchea indica branch ethanolic extract was identified and analyzed by the validated HPLC method. The nanoparticles of P. indica branch extract were formulated by solvent displacement method to increase the solubility and the colloidal stability of the extract. The stability of the nanoparticles was investigated by using the dynamic light scattering technique. Effects of P. indica crude extract and nanoparticles on cell viability, proliferation and migration of primary epidermal keratinocytes, human dermal fibroblasts, and oral mucosal keratinocyte cells were investigated by MTT assay and scratch assay, respectively. The results showed that P. indica branch extract contained a high content of total phenolic and total flavonoids. The HPLC analysis revealed that the main compound in the extract was 4,5-O-dicaffeoylquinic acid. The cell viability of the extract and nanoparticles decreased when cells were exposed to a high concentration of extract and nanoparticles. These results demonstrate that P. indica branch extract and extract nanoparticles at specific concentrations possess in vitro wound healing activity and they may be possibly used to treat different types of wounds including dermal and oral mucosal wounds.  相似文献

A method that incorporates cardiorespiratory-gated 2DFT spin-echo imaging with blood flow enhancement suppression is described which enables high resolution microimaging of the rodent heart. This methodology was applied to obtain in vivo cardiac mouse and rat images with in-plane resolutions of 100–200 μm using high field vertical bore magnet systems. Suppression of intraventricular blood flow enhancement was achieved using a combined spin-echo/gradient-refocussed sequence to dephase magnetization from flowing spins prior to imaging.  相似文献

This paper presents an analytical approach using higher order plate theories to determine wave reflections from and transmissions through a damaged region in a beam. The damaged region is either treated as two split beams or as an inhomogeneity. The reflection ratios and transmission ratios are found to depend strongly on the frequency of the incident flexural waves, as well as the size of the damage, which gives rise to strong stop/pass band behaviour. Using the spectral analysis method, the transient wave propagation in a beam with a part-through delamination is predicted and compared with experimental results, indicating a good agreement in the phases and amplitudes of both the reflected and transmitted waves.  相似文献

Direct ICP-AES measurements of the digested geological standard reference material samples yielded the wrong information about their composition. The differences between certified and measured concentrations of the samples were due to the complicated sample matrix. The measured concentrations can be successfully corrected by using a multiple linear regression technique. The correction is based on the multiple regression line calculated from the analytical results at synthetic mixtures of matrix elements, where concentrations varied on five levels. There were no significant (P = 0.05) differences between certified and measured concentrations in standard reference materials after the correction. The scattering dynamics leading to the formation of Cl (2P(3/2)) and Cl* (2P(1/2)) products of the CH(3)+HCl reaction (at a mean collision energy =22.3 kcal mol(-1)) and the Cl (2P(3/2)) products of the CD(3)+HCl reaction (at =19.4 kcal mol(-1)) have been investigated by using photodissociation of CH(3)I and CD(3)I as sources of translationally hot methyl radicals and velocity map imaging of the Cl atom products. Image analysis with a Legendre moment fitting procedure demonstrates that, in all three reactions, the Cl/Cl* products are mostly forward scattered with respect to the HCl in the center-of-mass (c.m.) frame but with a backward scattered component. The distributions of the fraction of the available energy released as translation peak at f(t)=0.31-0.33 for all the reactions, with average values that lie in the range =0.42-0.47. The detailed analysis indicates the importance of collision energy in facilitating the nonadiabatic transitions that lead to Cl* production. The similarities between the c.m.-frame scattering and kinetic energy release distributions for Cl and Cl* channels suggest that the nonadiabatic transitions to a low-lying excited potential energy surface (PES) correlating to Cl* products occur after passage through the transition state region on the ground-state PES. Branching fractions for Cl* are determined to be 0.14+/-0.02 for the CH(3)+HCl reaction and 0.20+/-0.03 for the CD(3)+HCl reaction. The difference cannot be accounted for by changes in collision energy, mass effects, or vibrational excitation of the photolytically generated methyl radical reagents and instead suggests that the low-frequency bending modes of the CD(3)H or CH(4) coproduct are important mediators of the nonadiabatic couplings occurring in this reaction system.  相似文献

The dynamic kinetic resolution of racemic mixtures of tropic acid ethyl ester under substrate racemizing conditions was studied using lipase PS with a ruthenium catalyst. Isopropenyl acetate was used as an acyl donor, since it was found to be compatible with both catalysts; this resulted in an efficient dynamic kinetic resolution. With this process, a variety of racemic tropic acid ethyl esters were transformed to optically active acetoxy-2-arylpropionic acid ethyl esters with 60-88% yields and 53-92% ee.  相似文献
