Arylplatinum(II) complexes have been covalently bonded to the N and C termini and to the alpha-carbon of various amino acid derivatives. These organometallic-functionalized amino acid compounds can be converted into the corresponding free amino acids under both basic and acidic conditions; this demonstrates the excellent stability properties of these biomolecules. Due to the NMR activity displayed by the 195Pt nucleus (natural abundance 33.8%, I = 1/2) these compounds are functional bio-markers. Furthermore, the ability of the arylplatinum functional group to bind SO2 gas, selectively and reversibly as indicated by changes in the spectroscopic properties (1H, 13C, 195Pt NMR and UV spectra) of these compounds, allows for the potential use of these complexes as in vitro biosensors.  相似文献

The atropisomeric dopant 2,2',6,6'-tetramethyl-3,3'-dinitro-4,4'-bis[(4-nonyloxybenzoyl)oxy]biphenyl (1) induces a ferroelectric SmC phase when doped into the SmC liquid crystal hosts 2-(4-butyloxyphenyl)-5-octyloxypyrimidine (PhP1) and (+/-)-4-[(4-methylhexyl)oxy]phenyl 4-decyloxybenzoate (PhB). The propensity of dopant 1 to induce a spontaneous polarization (polarization power) is much higher in PhP1 than in PhB (1555 nC/cm(2) vs <35 nC/cm(2)), which is attributed to a greater propensity of 1 to undergo chirality transfer via core-core interactions with PhP1. In previous work, we postulated that a chiral perturbation exerted by 1 in PhP1 amplifies the polarization power of the dopant by causing a chiral distortion of the mean field potential (binding site) constraining the dopant in the SmC host, as described by the Chirality Transfer Feedback (CTF) model. To test the validity of the CTF model, and to provide a more direct assessment of the chiral perturbation exerted by dopant 1 on surrounding host molecules, we measured the effect of 1 on the polarization power of other chiral dopants acting as probes. In one series of experiments, (S,S)-5-(2,3-difluorooctyl)-2-(4-octylphenyl)pyridine (MDW950) and (S)-4-(1-methylheptyloxy)phenyl 4-decyloxybenzoate (4), which mimic the structures of PhP1 and PhB, were used as probes. In another series of experiments, the atropisomeric dopant 2,2',3,3',6,6'-hexamethyl-4,4'-bis[(4-nonyloxybenzoyl)oxy]biphenyl (2) was used as probe in PhP1. The results of the probe experiments suggest that dopant 1 exerts a much stronger chiral perturbation in PhP1 than in PhB. More significantly, the results of experiments using 2 as probe show that the chiral perturbation exerted by 1 can amplify the polarization power of another atropisomeric dopant, thus providing the first experimental evidence of the CTF effect.  相似文献

Micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography (MEKC) with diode array detection was used for the separation of 13 compounds (eight herbicides widely used in agriculture: metribuzin, lenacil, ethofumesate, atrazine, terbutryn, isoproturon, chlorotoluron and linuron, and five of their principal degradation products; namely, deethylatrazine, 2-hydroxyatrazine, deethyl-2-hydroxyatrazine, deisopropylatrazine and 3-chloro-4-methylphenylurea). Peak separation for the 13 analytes was not successful when a single surfactant system was employed, neither sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) nor dioctyl sulfosuccinate (DOSS) sodium salt. However, a mixture of these herbicides was successfully separated using a mixed micellar system involving SDS–DOSS in less than 14 min. An application study of an on-line concentration technique for MEKC was carried out to enhance sensitivity. The optimized on-line stacking procedure consisted simply of the addition of 50 mM of sodium chloride to the injection sample, the stacking effect being more intensive as analyte polarity increased. When this stacking procedure was combined with an off-line sample preconcentration step, based on solid-phase extraction, analytes could be detected in the ppb range. The whole method was applied to ultra-high-quality and natural waters. Linear relationships between the analytical signal and the initial analyte concentration were found to be independent of the type of water, except for the more polar analytes for which small differences were observed.  相似文献

Cycloaddition of diazomethane to pyrrolinones 1a,b,d,e affords only one regioisomer as a mixture of the epimeric pyrrolopyrazolines 2 and 2 ′,4-Halo derivatives 1f,g react with diazomethane to give the two possible regioisomers 2 and 3. The regio- and stereochemistry of the adducts is evidenced by the 1H-nmr data. The primary adducts originated from the halopyrrolinones suffer dehydrohalogenation to give aromatized products, which by further methylation give derivatives of type 7, 8, 10 and 11.  相似文献

Four new two-ligand complexes of copper(II) with 2,2′-bipyridine and one of three different α-hydroxycarboxylic acids (lactic, H2LACO; 2-methyllactic, H2MLACO; and mandelic, H2MANO) were prepared. Complexes 13 of general formula [Cu(HL)2(bipy)]·nH2O (HL=monodeprotonated acid), were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, electronic and EPR spectroscopy, magnetic measurements and thermogravimetric analysis. Complexes 1 (HL=HLACO, n=2), 2 (HL=HMLACO, n=1) and 3a (the result of attempted recrystallization of 3, of formula [Cu(HMANO)(bipy)2](HMANO)·H2MANO·CH3CN were studied by X-ray diffractometry. The copper atom is in an elongated, tetragonally distorted octahedral environment in 1 and 2 and in 3a has a coordination polyhedron intermediate between a square pyramid and a trigonal bipyramid, as evaluated in terms of the parameter τ. In 1 and 2 the α-hydroxycarboxylato ligand is bidentate and monoanionic but in 3a there are three forms: a monodentate monoanion, a monoanionic counterion, and a neutral molecule.  相似文献

Herein we describe in detail the bonding properties and electrochemical behavior of the first known triosmium carbonyl clusters with a coordinated redox-active ligand 4,4',5,5'-tetramethyl-2,2'-biphosphinine (tmbp), the phosphorus derivative of 2,2'-bipyridine. The clusters investigated were [Os(3)(CO)(10)(tmbp)] (1) and its derivative [Os(3)(CO)(9)(PPh(3))(tmbp)] (2). The crystal structures of both clusters are compared with those of relevant compounds; they served as the basis for density functional theory (DFT and time-dependent DFT) calculations. The experimental and theoretical data reveal an unexpected and unprecedented bridging coordination mode of tmbp, with each P atom bridging two metal atoms. The tmbp ligand is formally reduced by transfer of two electrons from the triangular cluster core that consequently lacks one of the metal-metal bonds. Both 1 and 2 therefore represent 50e(-) clusters with a coordinated 8e(-) donor, [tmbp](2-). The HOMO and LUMO of 1 and 2 possess a predominant contribution from different pi*(tmbp) orbitals, implying that the lowest energy excited state possesses a significant intraligand character. This is in agreement with the photostability of these clusters. DFT calculations also predict the experimentally observed structure of 1 to be the most stable one in a series of several plausible structural isomers. Stepwise two-electron electrochemical reduction of 1 and 2 results in dissociation of CO and PPh(3), respectively, and formation of the [Os(3)(CO)(9)(tmbp)](2-) ion. The initially produced radical anions of the parent clusters, in which the odd electron is predominantly localized on the tmbp ligand, are sufficiently stable at low temperatures and can be observed with IR spectroelectrochemistry. The electron-deficiency of the cluster core in 1 permits facile electrocatalytic substitution of a CO ligand by tertiary phosphane and phosphite donors.  相似文献

The specific conductivities of dodecyldimethylbenzylammonium bromide (C12BBr) have been determined in aqueous butanol and aqueous benzyl alcohol solutions in the temperature range of 5-40°C. From these data the temperature dependent critical micelle concentration (cmc) was determined. The molar fraction of alcohol in the micelle was estimated using the theory suggested by Motomura et al. for surfactant binary mixtures. The thermal properties such as standard Gibbs free energy, enthalpy and entropy of solubilization of alcohols in the micelles were estimated for the phase separation model. The change in heat capacity upon solubilization of alcohol in the micelle has been estimated form the above properties. A rapid and sensitive method has been developed for the determination of lead in water samples by flame atomic absorption spectrometry using on-line preconcentration on a microcolumn packed with silica gel treated with a mixture of Aliquat 336 and nitroso-R-salt. The lead is retained at pH 5.5. The preconcentrated lead is directly eluted from the column to the nebulizer-burner system using 150 L of 0.1 mol/L hydrochloric acid. The optimum preconcentration conditions are given and the retention efficiency achieved is higher than 80%. The enrichment factor is 37 and 100 for sample volumes of 5 and 30 mL, respectively. The limits of detection are 10.0, 6.0 and 4.0 ng/mL when 5, 10 and 30 mL of water is preconcentrated.  相似文献

Researchers in the post-genome era are confronted with the daunting task of assigning structure and function to tens of thousands of encoded proteins. To realize this goal, new technologies are emerging for the analysis of protein function on a global scale, such as activity-based protein profiling (ABPP), which aims to develop active site-directed chemical probes for enzyme analysis in whole proteomes. For the pursuit of such chemical proteomic technologies, it is helpful to derive inspiration from protein-reactive natural products. Natural products use a remarkably diverse set of mechanisms to covalently modify enzymes from distinct mechanistic classes, thus providing a wellspring of chemical concepts that can be exploited for the design of active-site-directed proteomic probes. Herein, we highlight several examples of protein-reactive natural products and illustrate how their mechanisms of action have influenced and continue to shape the progression of chemical proteomic technologies like ABPP.  相似文献

Summary Capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) has been used for direct determination of 6-thioguanine, methotrexate, and 5-fluorouracil in human urine, by use of a fused-silica capillary (60.2 cm×75 μm i.d.). Separation was performed after hydrodynamic injection for 7 s; the separation potential and capillary temperature were 25 kV and 35°C, respectively. A 45mm borate buffer solution (pH 9.2) was used as separation electrolyte. Under these conditions the analysis takes approximately 10 min and interday precision of migration times and corrected peak areas is satisfactory. A linear response over the concentration range 3.0–20.0 mg L1 was observed for the three chemotherapeutic drugs in diluted human urine. Detection limits (s/n=3) for 6-thioguanine and methotrexate were approximately 1.60 mg L1 in diluted human urine; that for fluorouracil was 2.60 mg L1. A 2-ml volume of human urine was diluted with 2-mL of water and introduced directly into the electrophoresis system. CZE was shown to be a good method with regard to simplicity, satisfactory precision, and sensitivity. This method resulted in especially excellent recoveries for determination of methotrexate in all the different urine samples analysed (n=10).  相似文献
