The ergodic propriety of a room has strong effects on its reverberation. If the room is ergodic, the reverberation can be broken up in two steps: a deterministic process followed by a stochastic one. The late reverberation can be then modeled by a reverberation algorithm instead of more computationally consuming methods. In this study, the free path temporal distribution obtained by ray-tracing is used as an indicator of the room's mixing: the energetic average of the path lengths is computed at each time step. Ergodic rooms are thus characterized by rapidly convergent distributions. The free path value becomes independent of time. On the other hand, path selection mechanism and orbits are observed in non-ergodic rooms. The transition time from the deterministic process to the stochastic one is also studied through the evaluation of the room's time constant. It is shown that its value depends only on the mean free path and the boundaries scattering value. An empirical expression is obtained which agrees well with simulations carried out in a concert hall. This transition time from a deterministic model to a stochastic one can be used to speed up the acoustical predictions and auralizations in ergodic rooms. 相似文献

A phenanthroline ligand decorated at the 5,6-position with a 15-crown-5 ether was used to prepare a metalorganic-polyoxometalate hybrid complex Re(I)(L)(CO)(3)CH(3)CN-MHPW(12)O(40) (L = 15-crown-5-phenanthroline, M = Na(+), H(3)O(+)). X-ray diffraction, (1)H and (13)C NMR, ESI-MS, IR, and elemental analysis were used to characterize this complex. In the presence of Pt/C, the polyoxometalate moiety in Re(I)(L)(CO)(3)CH(3)CN-MHPW(12)O(40) can oxidize H(2) to two protons and two electrons which in the presence of visible light can catalyze the photoreduction of CO(2) to CO with H(2) as the reducing agent instead of the universally used amines as sacrificial reducing agents. An EPR spectrum of a stable intermediate species under reaction conditions shows characteristics of a PW(V)W(VI)(11)O(40) and a Re(0) species with a tentative assignment of the intermediate as Re(0)(L)(CO)(3)(S)-MH(3)PW(V)W(VI)(11)O(40). 相似文献

A collective synthesis of 4‐hydroxy‐2‐pyridone alkaloids—specifically, pretenellin B, prebassianin B, farinosone A, militarione D, pyridovericin, and torrubiellone C—has been achieved. Key steps include using a strategic convergent method to synthesize the densely substituted pyridone key intermediate by Suzuki–Miyaura cross‐coupling reaction, a divergent synthesis approach of target molecules by aldol condensation of pyridone intermediate with homologous aldehydes, and an iterative synthesis of homologous aldehydes with all‐trans‐polyene backbones. Interestingly, among the six tumor cell lines investigated, torrubiellone C was found to induce potent and apoptotic inhibitory activities on Jurkat T cells with IC50 values of 7.05 μM . Hence, this approach could potentially contribute to the synthesis of bioactive small‐molecule libraries as well as drug discovery. 相似文献

A standard corona preionized XeCl laser prototype has been excited by a very simple L-C circuit consisting of a large storage capacitance charged at relatively low voltage (12 kV) and discharged via a switch on the electrodes, tightly coupled with the peaking capacitors. The resulting overvoltage following the switch closure behaves as an effective and automatic prepulse, providing a homogeneous discharge lasting up to 400 ns. A mesh of prismatic or tetrahedral elements automatically generated from an initial triangular grid is used to integrate 3-D flow equation in space. Many numerical comparisons between these two models have been performed. The results show that integration with tetrahedrons is as accurate as integration with prisms but much more efficient. Multiphase flow through porous media is a highly nonlinear process that can be solved numerically with the aid of finite elements (FE) in space and finite differences (FD) in time. For an accurate solution much refined FE grids are generally required with the major computational effort consisting of the resolution to the nonlinearity frequently obtained with the classical Picard linearization approach. The efficiency of the repeated solution to the linear systems within each individual time step represents the key to improve the performance of a multiphase flow simulator. The present paper discusses the performance of the projection solvers (GMRES with restart, TFQMR, and BiCGSTAB) for two global schemes based on a different nodal ordering of the unknowns (ORD1 and ORD2) and a scheme (SPLIT) based on the straightforward inversion of the lumped mass matrix which allows for the preliminary elimination and substitution of the unknown saturations. The interaction between CaCl 2 and double hydrophilic block copolymer, poly(ethylene oxide) 45- block-poly(acrylic acid) 70, PEO 45- b-PAA 70, was investigated. At a stoichiometric ratio of Ca2+:COO (-) = 0.5, Ca2+ ions were bound to COO (-) groups on PAA segments via electrostatic interaction. Small particles of 4-8 nm in diameter were observed, suggesting the formation of coil-like polymeric globule induced by charge neutralization. At Ca2+:COO (-) >or= 2.5, monodispersed aggregates of average hydrodynamic diameter of 52.0 +/- 7.4 nm were produced. The ISE, ITC, surface tension and fluorescence spectroscopic data confirmed that the formation of these aggregates is not the result of interaction between excess Ca2+ ions and the polymer, but rather it is due to changes in the water activity that triggers the structural rearrangement of Ca2+/PEO 45- b-PAA 70 complex. 相似文献

This paper reports the applicability of low-pressure gas chromatography-mass spectrometry operated in electron-capture negative ionization mode (LP-GC-ECNI-MS) for the analysis of decabrominated diphenyl ether (BDE-209). Particular attention was paid to find optimal injector and oven conditions for minimal thermal degradation of BDE-209. The analytical characteristics were compared for LP-GC columns (10 m x 0.53 mm) with different film thicknesses (d(f) 0.15 microm versus 0.25microm) and for a conventional GC column (15 m x 0.25 mm, 0.10 microm d(f)). Short residence times (6.5 and 9.8 min) of BDE-209 were found for the LP-GC systems with 0.15 and 0.25microm d(f), respectively, resulting in a low elution temperature and minimal degradation. Additionally, baseline separation of 22 polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) congeners (major components of PBDE technical mixtures) was possible in less than 12 min using the LP-GC-ECNI-MS system with 0.15microm d(f). The optimized method was applied for the determination of PBDEs in Belgian indoor dust samples. The obtained concentrations of BDE-209 (range 8-292 ng/g dry weight) were in the same range or lower than concentrations in dust from other European countries. 相似文献
