Hydrazones of aldehydes and ketones undergo intermolecular cycloaddition to electronegative olefins via azomethine imines, formed by a formal 1,2-prototropic shift, in low to moderate yield on heating in xylene or ethanol. In some instances the reaction is diverted to give products derived (at least formally) from an ene reaction. Similar intramolecular cycloadditions occur with unactivated terminal alkenes and alkynes.  相似文献

The macrocycle-mediated fluxes of several alkali metal cations have been determined in a H2O-CH2Cl2-H2O liquid membrane system. Water-insoluble proton-ionizable macrocycles of the pyridono type were used. The proton-ionizable feature allows the coupling of cation transport to reverse H+ transport. This feature offers promise for the effective separation and/or concentration of alkali metal ions with the metal transport being driven by a pH gradient. A counter anion in the source phase is not co-transported. The desired separation of a particular metal ion involves its selective complexation with the macrocycle, subsequent extraction from the aqueous phase to the organic phase, and exchange for H+ at the organic phase-receiving phase interface. Factors affecting transport which were studied include ring size, source phase pH, and receiving phase pH. Lithium was transported at a rate higher than that of the other alkali metals in both single and competitive systems using a 15-crown-5 pyridono carrier.  相似文献

The rate coefficient for the reaction has been determined in mixtures of nitric acid (HNO3) and argon in incident shock wave experiments. Quantitative OH time-histories were obtained by cw narrow-linewidth uv laser absorption of the R1(5) line of the A2 σ+X2 Πi (0,0) transition at 32606.56 cm?1 (vacuum). The experiments were conducted over the temperature range 1050–2380 K and the pressure range 0.18–0.60 atm. The second-order rate coefficient was determined to be with overall uncertainties of +11%, ?16% at high temperatures and +25%, ?22% at low temperatures. The intermetallic PdGa is a highly selective and potent catalyst in the semihydrogenation of acetylene, which is attributed to the surface stability and isolated Pd atom ensembles. In this context PdGa single crystals of form B with (111) orientation were investigated by means of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS), scanning tunneling microscopy (STM), X-ray photoelectron diffraction (XPD), and low-energy electron diffraction (LEED) to study the electronic and geometric properties of this surface. UPS and thermal desorption spectroscopy (TDS) were used to probe the chemisorption behavior of CO. The PdGa(111) surface exhibits a (1 × 1) LEED and a pronounced XPD pattern indicating an unreconstructed bulk-truncated surface. Low-temperature STM reveals a smooth surface with a (1 × 1) unit cell. No segregation occurs, and no impurities are detected by XPS. The electronic structure and the CO adsorption properties reveal PdGa(111) to be a bulk-truncated intermetallic compound with Pd-Ga partial covalent bonding.  相似文献

An ultra-high speed, time-resolved particle image velocimetry (PIV) system is developed to measure velocity fields created by explosive detonators. When initiated into a gas, the detonators generate blast waves that propagate outwards from the origin of initiation at supersonic speeds. The PIV system consists of a custom eight-pulse Nd:YAG laser system and an ultra-high speed camera system comprising four dual-frame CCD cameras optically combined to share a single optic axis. The system is capable of sampling the flow field four times at up to 333 MHz or eight times at up to 8 MHz. System development is discussed, and preliminary application to the complex flow behind the blast wave from an exploding bridge wire detonator is demonstrated.  相似文献

Flow fields in fluid mechanics often contain regions where different physical events occur. The relative size of the regions changes as a parameter is varied. Correlating field data, either physical or DNS calculation experiments, in these situations can be aided by using ideas from matched asymptotic expansions from applied mathematics. A second situation is when two slightly different processes occur in the same spatial region. For this case, a two-term asymptotic expansion is needed. This article discusses how composite expansions and the common part matching behavior are useful in correlating data.  相似文献
