The assembly of ancient informational polymers from nucleotide precursors is the central challenge of life's origin on our planet. Among the possible solutions, dry polymerization of 3’,5’-cyclic guanosine monophosphate (3’,5’-cGMP) has been proposed as a candidate to create oligonucleotides of 15–20 units in length. However, the reported sensitivity of the reaction to the presence of cations raised questions of whether this chemistry could be relevant in a geological context. The experiments in this study show that the presence of cations is not restrictive as long as the reaction is conducted in an acidic environment, in contrast to previous reports that suggested optimal conditions at pH 9. 相似文献

We have experimentally studied the influence of pulsed laser deposition parameters on the morphological and electrophysical parameters of vanadium oxide films. It is shown that an increase in the number of laser pulses from 10,000 to 60,000 and an oxygen pressure from 3 × 10−4 Torr to 3 × 10−2 Torr makes it possible to form vanadium oxide films with a thickness from 22.3 ± 4.4 nm to 131.7 ± 14.4 nm, a surface roughness from 7.8 ± 1.1 nm to 37.1 ± 11.2 nm, electron concentration from (0.32 ± 0.07) × 1017 cm−3 to (42.64 ± 4.46) × 1017 cm−3, electron mobility from 0.25 ± 0.03 cm2/(V·s) to 7.12 ± 1.32 cm2/(V·s), and resistivity from 6.32 ± 2.21 Ω·cm to 723.74 ± 89.21 Ω·cm. The regimes at which vanadium oxide films with a thickness of 22.3 ± 4.4 nm, a roughness of 7.8 ± 1.1 nm, and a resistivity of 6.32 ± 2.21 Ω·cm are obtained for their potential use in the fabrication of ReRAM neuromorphic systems. It is shown that a 22.3 ± 4.4 nm thick vanadium oxide film has the bipolar effect of resistive switching. The resistance in the high state was (89.42 ± 32.37) × 106 Ω, the resistance in the low state was equal to (6.34 ± 2.34) × 103 Ω, and the ratio RHRS/RLRS was about 14,104. The results can be used in the manufacture of a new generation of micro- and nanoelectronics elements to create ReRAM of neuromorphic systems based on vanadium oxide thin films. 相似文献

Organotrifluoroborates serve as coupling partners during transmetalation in the Suzuki–Miyaura reaction but require hydrolysis prior to the coupling reaction. Their anionic nature allows study of their hydrolysis by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) through real-time monitoring, complemented by pH analysis. The induction period varied according to the borates employed, and a dynamic series of equilibria for numerous ions was observed during hydrolysis. In this study, we thoroughly analyzed molecular gradient generation, its stability over time, and linearity in our high-throughput drug screening microfluidic assay (HTS). These parameters greatly affect the precision and accuracy of the device’s analytical protocol. As part of the research, we developed a mathematical model of dependence of the concentration profile on the initial concentrations of active substances in reservoirs and the number of tilts, as well as the dependence of the active substance concentration profiles in the culture chambers on the concentration profile of the reference dye in the indicator chamber. The mean concentration prediction error of the proposed equations ranged from 1.4% to 2.4% for the optimized parameters of the procedure and did not increase with the incubation time. The concentration profile linearity index, Pearson’s correlation coefficient reached −0.997 for 25 device tilts. The observed time stability of the profiles was very good. The mean difference between the concentration profile after 5 days of incubation and the baseline profile was only 7.0%. The newly created mathematical relationships became part of the new HTS biochip operating protocols, which are detailed in the article. 相似文献

A new pentacyclic guanidine alkaloid, monanchoxymycalin C (1) was isolated from a new collection of marine sponge Monanchora pulchra along with the known monanchoxymycalin A (2). The structure of 1 was elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data. Monanchoxymycalin C exhibits cytotoxic activity against human cancer HeLa cells at low micromolar concentrations, induces apoptosis-related death of malignant cells and inhibits cancer cell colony formation. There is an increasing amount of interest in metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) for a variety of applications, from gas sensing and separations to electronics and catalysis. However, the mechanisms by which they crystallize remain poorly understood. Herein, an important new insight into MOF formation is reported. It is shown that, prior to network assembly, crystallization intermediates in the canonical ZIF‐8 system exist in a dynamic pre‐equilibrium, which depends on the reactant concentrations and the progress of reaction. Concentration can, therefore, be used as a synthetic handle to directly control particle size, with potential implications for industrial scale‐up and gas sorption applications. These findings enable the rationalization of apparent contradictions between previous studies of ZIF‐8 and opens up new opportunities for the control of crystallization in network solids more generally. 相似文献

Crystals of hypoxanthinium (6‐oxo‐1H,7H‐purin‐9‐ium) nitrate hydrates were investigated by means of X‐ray diffraction at different temperatures. The data for hypoxanthinium nitrate monohydrate (C5H5N4O+·NO3?·H2O, Hx1 ) were collected at 20, 105 and 285 K. The room‐temperature phase was reported previously [Schmalle et al. (1990). Acta Cryst. C 46 , 340–342] and the low‐temperature phase has not been investigated yet. The structure underwent a phase transition, which resulted in a change of space group from Pmnb to P21/n at lower temperature and subsequently in nonmerohedral twinning. The structure of hypoxanthinium dinitrate trihydrate (H3O+·C5H5N4O+·2NO3?·2H2O, Hx2 ) was determined at 20 and 100 K, and also has not been reported previously. The Hx2 structure consists of two types of layers: the `hypoxanthinium nitrate monohydrate' layers (HX) observed in Hx1 and layers of Zundel complex H3O+·H2O interacting with nitrate anions (OX). The crystal can be considered as a solid solution of two salts, i.e. hypoxanthinium nitrate monohydrate, C5H5N4O+·NO3?·H2O, and oxonium nitrate monohydrate, H3O+(H2O)·NO3?. 相似文献
