Propagation of a crack in a randomly heterogeneous body exposed to longitudinal shear is considered (in a Born approximation). It is proved that the stress means at the crack tip have singularities on the order of (r)–1/2. The effective coefficient of stress intensity is introduced. It is known that the propagation of a crack in a homogeneous body is of a local nature, i.e., energy consumption in the growth of the crack is completely determined by the coefficient of stress intensity, which is a local characteristic. The equivalence of the force and energy approaches is mathematically expressed by the Irwin equation [1]. We develop a new comagnetometer using (21)Ne atoms with nuclear spin I=3/2 and Rb atoms polarized by spin exchange with K atoms to search for tensor interactions that violate local Lorentz invariance. We frequently reverse the orientation of the experiment and search for signals at the first and second harmonics of the sidereal frequency. We constrain 4 of the 5 spatial Lorentz-violating coefficients c(jk)(n) that parametrize anisotropy of the maximum attainable velocity of a neutron at a level of 10(-29), improving previous limits by 2 to 4 orders of magnitude and placing the most stringent constraint on deviations from local Lorentz invariance. 相似文献

The fracture stability of macrocracks under uniform heat flux is analyzed to include the effect of a system of microcracks. The interaction of cracks leads to full or partial closure of crack surfaces. The boundary problem is stated and a solution is obtained. The domains where microcracks are closed and/or affect partial closing of the macrocrack are found. Evaluated is the macrocrack tip stress intensity factor accounting for closure. 相似文献

In this article we compare the classical monopole mass filter of von Zahn and the monopole mass filter with a hyperbolic V-shaped electrode. The experimental results and those of computer simulation for both mass spectrometers are presented. We show that the replacement of a conventional 90 degrees V-shaped electrode by an electrode with a hyperbolic profile substantially improves the peak shape of any given mass, and increases the mass resolution by a factor of 3-4 and the abundance sensitivity by a factor of 100. The potential of high analytical performance combined with electroforming techniques for electrode manufacture indicate future practical uses of such instruments.
