Ion projectile stopping at velocity smaller than target electron thermal velocity in a strong magnetic field, is investigated within a novel diffusion formulation (Dufty-Berkovsky), based on Green-Kubo integrands evaluated in magnetized one component plasma models, respectively framed on target ions and electrons. Analytic expressions are reported for slowing down orthogonal and parallel to an arbitrary large magnetic field, which are free from the usual uncertainties plaguing the standard perturbative derivations. 相似文献

We perform a pruning procedure on a Lévy tree and instead of throwing away the removed sub-tree, we regraft it on a given branch (not related to the Lévy tree). We prove that the tree constructed by regrafting is distributed as the original Lévy tree, generalizing a result of Addario-Berry, Broutin and Holmgren where only Aldous’s tree is considered. As a consequence, we obtain that the “average pruning time” of a leaf is distributed as the height of a leaf picked at random in the Lévy tree. 相似文献

A new LC/MS method was developed for the analysis of sixteen different analytes including the most common organic explosives encountered in forensic investigations. The separation was achieved using a porous graphitic carbon (PGC) column with a binary gradient elution. Molecular modeling suggested a possible interpretation for the elution order of explosive compounds on PGC. The introduction of ammonium formate in the mobile phase resulted in the formation of characteristic adduct ions thus enhancing the mass spectrometric detection of nitrate ester and nitramine compounds. Atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI) and electrospray ionization (ESI) were compared in terms of sensitivity. The final LC/APCI-MS method allowed easy identification of investigated compounds with limits of detection ranging from 0.04 to 1.06 ng/microl. The analysis of simulated forensic samples confirmed the performance of the method. 相似文献

We perform one- and two-photon high resolution spectroscopy on ultracold samples of RbCs Feshbach molecules with the aim to identify a suitable route for efficient ground-state transfer in the quantum-gas regime to produce quantum gases of dipolar RbCs ground-state molecules. One-photon loss spectroscopy allows us to probe deeply bound rovibrational levels of the mixed excited (A(1)Σ(+)-b(3)Π)0(+) molecular states. Two-photon dark state spectroscopy connects the initial Feshbach state to the rovibronic ground state. We determine the binding energy of the lowest rovibrational level |v' = 0, J' = 0> of the X(1)Σ(+) ground state to be D = 3811.5755(16) cm(-1), a 300-fold improvement in accuracy with respect to previous data. We are now in the position to perform stimulated two-photon Raman transfer to the rovibronic ground state. 相似文献

A new generation of organophosphate (OP) scavengers was obtained by synthesis of β-cyclodextrin-oxime derivatives 8-12. Selective monosubstitution of β-cyclodextrin was the main difficulty in order to access these compounds, because reaction onto the oligosaccharide was closely related to the nature of the incoming group. For this purpose, non-conventional activation conditions were also evaluated. Intermediates 5 and 7 were then obtained with the better yields under ultrasounds irradiation. Finally, the desired compounds 8-10 were obtained from 5-7 in high purity by desilylation using potassium fluoride. Quaternarisation of compounds 8 and 9 was carried out. OP hydrolytic activity of compounds 8-12 was evaluated against cyclosarin (GF) and VX. None of the tested compounds was active against VX, but these five cyclodextrin derivatives detoxified GF, and the most active scavengers 10 and 11 allowed an almost complete hydrolysis of GF within 10 min. Even more fascinating is the fact that compounds 9 and 10 were able to hydrolyze enantioselectively GF. 相似文献

The dehydration process of VOPO(4)·2H(2)O occurs in two steps corresponding to successive elimination of the two crystallographically distinct water molecules. The intermediate phase VOPO(4)·H(2)O has been stabilized for X-ray powder diffraction studies. The resulting data suggest a tetragonal cell (a = 6.2203(2) ? and c = 6.18867(7) ?), but an important anisotropy in the line broadening points out the necessity of considering a not perfectly organized structure. Because of the layered structure of this compound, density functional theory calculations including dispersion corrections have been carried out to evaluate the possible presence of stacking faults. The results of these calculations give information about the nature of the translations and their probabilities using a Boltzmann distribution. DIFFaX+ simulations of the X-ray powder diffraction pattern have been carried out using the results of the theoretical calculations and confirm the presence and nature of stacking faults. 相似文献

Selected Reaction Monitoring (SRM) carried out on triple‐quadrupole mass spectrometers coupled to liquid chromatography has been a reference method to develop quantitative analysis of small molecules in biological or environmental matrices for years and is currently emerging as a promising tool in clinical proteomic. However, sensitive assays in complex matrices are often hampered by the presence of co‐eluted compounds that share redundant transitions with the target species. On‐the‐fly better selection of the precursor ion by high‐field asymmetric waveform ion mobility spectrometry (FAIMS) or increased quadrupole resolution is one way to escape from interferences. In the present work we document the potential interest of substituting classical gas‐collision activation mode by laser‐induced dissociation in the visible wavelength range to improve the specificity of the fragmentation step. Optimization of the laser beam pathway across the different quadrupoles to ensure high photo‐dissociation yield in Q2 without detectable fragmentation in Q1 was assessed with sucrose tagged with a push‐pull chromophore. Next, the proof of concept that photo‐SRM ensures more specific detection than does conventional collision‐induced dissociation (CID)‐based SRM was carried out with oxytocin peptide. Oxytocin was derivatized by the thiol‐reactive QSY® 7 C5‐maleimide quencher on cysteine residues to shift its absorption property into the visible range. Photo‐SRM chromatograms of tagged oxytocin spiked in whole human plasma digest showed better detection specificity and sensitivity than CID, that resulted in extended calibration curve linearity. We anticipate that photo‐SRM might significantly improve the limit of quantification of classical SRM‐based assays targeting cysteine‐containing peptides. We give an analytical parametrization of the curves of purely imaginary eigenvalues in the delay-parameter plane of the linearized neural field network equations with space-dependent delays. In order to determine if the rightmost eigenvalue is purely imaginary, we have to compute a finite number of such curves; the number of curves is bounded by a constant for which we give an expression. Gain dynamics in two quantum-dash semiconductor optical amplifiers of different lengths emitting in the 1.55 μm region are investigated experimentally and compared. It is shown that slow gain recovery due to total carrier relaxation is totally suppressed in the ultralong amplifier. Consequently, the 10%-90% gain recovery time is drastically reduced from about 40 ps (short sample) to 10 ps (long one). 相似文献
