Using KCl/ZnSO4 eutectic it has been shown that cooling the melt into a room temperature enclosure forms a lamellar structure, whereas cooling into a heated enclosure (225 °C) forms a conglomerate structure, while an enclosure temperature of 125 °C gave a partially conglomerate structure with some lamellae in process of forming conglomerates.Consideration of the thermal gradients imposed on solidification and consequently the relative time available during which the ions are sufficiently mobile to rearrange their positions, can explain the observation that lamellar structures are formed by higher melting point eutectics, whereas eutectics of lower melting point form conglomerate structures.  相似文献

A time-resolved experiment on the A2Π state of gaseous calcium hydride has been performed by applying laser spectroscopic methods. The following zero-pressure lifetime was obtained for the CaH A2Π state: τυ´=0 = 33.2 (±3.2) ns and τυ´=1 = 33.7 (±5.2) ns. The lifetime was found to be the same for the A2Π½ and A2Π3/2 states.  相似文献

The optimal-velocity model, as proposed by Bando et al. [1], shows unrealistic values of the acceleration for various optimal-velocity functions [2,3]. We discuss different approaches of how to correct this problem. Multiple look-ahead (many-neighbour interaction) models are the most promising candidates in reducing accelerations and decelerations to realistic values. We focus on two such models and, in particular, their linear stability and how these affect the vehicle dynamics and wave solutions. As found earlier [4], multiple look-ahead models reproduce many real flow features, and our results further support the necessity of this ansatz. However, the problem of non-locality arises when they are transformed into the corresponding continuum model. In this paper we consider distributions of the form 1/P and dy/P(x,y), whereP is a polynomial. Using results by Kashiwara and Kawai we give fairly accessible proofs that these expressions can be defined as regular holonomic distributions by utilising a meromorphic parameter. We also discuss distributions of the form /P and their direct image , when one knows that is a regular holonomic distribution. All these distributions are relevant to the study of renormalised Feynman integrals.  相似文献

The high sensitivity of modern NMR instrumentation, in combination with full deuteration, enabled the measurement of long-range NOEs between amide protons in a fully deuterated protein corresponding to distances up to 8A. These are beyond the limit normally observed in protonated samples. Such long-distance NOEs could be observed using long mixing times, which became possible due to reduced spin diffusion and T1 relaxation of the amide protons in the fully deuterated sample. This information was used in combination with secondary structure restraints derived from secondary chemical shifts for structure calculations. With these backbone amide proton NOEs only, a unique fold could be obtained with positional root mean square deviations from the average of 1.30 and 2.25 A for backbone and heavy atoms, respectively. Despite the low density of restraints, no mirror image problems were observed. Addition of sidechain NOE information increased the precision of the ensemble and in particular of the core packing. The structures obtained in this way were close to the published crystal structure. NOE completeness analysis revealed that the cumulative completeness is still more than 80% for an 8.0 A cut-off distance.  相似文献

The propagation of femtosecond UV laser pulses in air is numerically shown to form intense light filaments over several tenths of Rayleigh lengths. We compare UV filamentation with IR filamentation and show that the balance of the physical processes supporting the filaments is identical in both cases. For IR and UV wavelengths, it is shown that the intensity in the filament and the density of the electron plasma created by ionization of air molecules reach similar values as high as 10(14) W/cm(2) and 10(17) cm(-3). Spectral data exhibit a large broadening in the IR filament and a limited one for UV, which justifies the white-light generation associated with IR filamentation only.  相似文献

The common substance Hydrohalite has a role to play in as diverse areas as Geology, Earth Climatology, Universe Cosmology, and Cryobiology. In this review, the occurrences under very different occasions are described. These relations are not commonly appreciated. During the work, we realized that there is yet an aspect that has been overlooked. Hydrohalite formed sometimes on icy roads resists common salt deicing procedures. Also, hydrohalite can be detected by rather simple Raman spectroscopy instrumentation. It means that it is possible to avoid accidents on icy roads in the following way: Common salt deicing trucks may be equipped with “artificial intelligence” based on a duel deicing system that switches between normal NaCl deicing and non-NaCl deicing based on Raman spectroscopy. The advantages are first of all less traffic accidents and lower environmental impact and corrosion from NaCl, but disadvantages are increased costs of investments and consumption of non-NaCl deicing agents.  相似文献

By repetitive irradiation of pico- or femtosecond laser pulses on glasses containing silver nanoparticles, dichroitic areas can be produced with different optical properties depending on the actual irradiation parameters. This effect, which is nanoscopically caused by permanent deformation of the initially spherical particles to non-spherical shapes and an additional formation of a halo of very small particles, is studied as a function of polarization and number of the applied pulses using two different laser systems (Ti:sapphire, λ=400 nm, tp=150 fs; Nd:YLF, λ=523.5 nm, tp=4 ps). A very special diffraction grating produced by this local deformation, which has strongly polarization- and wavelength-dependent features, is introduced and discussed. Low-temperature measurements of the thermal conductivity (0.3KT5K) and of the specific heatC (0.07KT3.5K) of splat-cooled amorphous superconducting Zr0.67Ni0.33(T c 2.7K) after different annealing stages are reported. increases progressively (up to 55%) after annealing. An analysis of with the help of normal-state measurements belowT c in an overcritical field shows that the phonon-electron scattering remains unaltered after annealing. Hence the increase in must be entirely attributed to structure-induced (intrinsic) scattering, i.e. by two-level tunneling states (TLS) at low temperatures (T1K). The specific heat shows a small decrease aboveT c (by 8%) which is attributed to a small diminution of the electronic density of states at the Fermi level and to a small increase in the Debye temperature. ForTT c where TLS dominate, the specific heatC decreases less upon annealing than expected from the increase of in the standard tunneling model. This points to a change in the TLS relaxation time spectrum upon annealing, as observed previously for Zr x Cu1–x glasses.  相似文献
